“Hey, are you alright?”
Zitao blinks his eyes from the low—but soft—voice. He looks up only to meet with Kris’s concern eyes.
“Are you not feeling well? Do you want to go to somewhere quieter? Or,... maybe going out today is not a great idea?” Kris asks again, thumb brushes lightly against Zitao’s cheek and makes the younger blushes.
“Ah, no. It’s alright. Theme park is a great place. Maybe I will try to forget everything here.” He gives Kris a reassuring smile and pulls away slightly from Kris’s carresses, a little bit nervous from the touch. And Kris frowns a bit, but it goes unnoticed.
“Okay. So what do you want to play first?” Kris asks again.
“Roller coaster?” Tao says, giving the older of the two a cheeky grin. It looks a little bit forced at first, but Kris let it be. And apparently, Zitao’s eagerness to try the roller coaster is genuine enough to make him pulls Kris’s wrist toward the rides.
Kris lets Zitao does as he pleases, pulls him around the rides as he sees how Zitao smiles become a bit more and more genuine and wider as if he really forgets about what has been bothering him since he broke up with Sehun.
Kris is no fool. There is no way people will forget about those kind of break ups easily. But at least, this short happiness will make it easier for Zitao to open his heart again for Kris. That’s what Kris’s plan is all along. Simple, but if he rushes it, it will fail him.
Three and half hours later, Zitao finally gives up. With all the power he has left, he crawls—well, he actually walks but very slow—towards the nearest bench around them, and Kris follows the younger, feels only a bit tired.
“It’s no fun, gege! Why are you not as tired as me??” He whines while resting his tired on the bench. And Kris can only laughs at his kiddy ex’s childish question.
Their rides is not that much actually. In three hours they barely got three rides. Zitao tiredness comes from his enthusiastic jump and thump around while they are waiting for their turns. Kris usually only watches the younger with a lot of chuckles and loving gaze. The last one always goes unnoticed by Zitao. That’s why, Kris is not as tired as the hyper-active panda.
