“ahh!”
I yelped, covering my eyes.

Black. I see nothing but black, and honestly, I’m scared.

I was just going to get a drink, in the middle of the night, when everything went dark.

I stayed rooted on my spot, waiting for the electricity to get back again.

.

A few minutes and nothing is happening.

I tried peeking through my hands, but I’m not so sure, if my eyes are closed or not.

I started to panic.

“What if some ghost suddenly come to me?!”

The silence is not helping me calm. It’s completely quiet, except for the clock ticking.

My mind is starting to remember every scary stuff I watched on movies.

“What if there’s a white lady?!”

“or a crawling girl?!”

“Freaking slender man!!!”

I slid down on the floor, hugging myself, wishing for all of this to be over.

.

Minutes passed.

“Why is it still dark?!”

I just want to go back to my room, hide beneath my warm blanket!

Then…

I heard creaking…

“What is that??”

A thump…

My heartbeat’s getting faster.

Another thump...

“Go away! Please just go away!!”

I thought it already stooped, but I was wrong.

Another thump.

“It’s… It’s near!!”

I was ready to scream my lungs out when someone embraced me.

I was shaking because of fear.

“Amber?”

I whispered. She didn’t answer, instead she hugged me tighter.

She made me stand up, I didn’t let go of her, clutching her shirt tight.

With a chuckle, we walked to my room, tucking me in my bed.

As she was about to go, but I grabbed her hand.

“Stay with me please?”

I moved to the side, giving her space to lie down.

But before she could lie down, I heard a knock on my door.

“Krys?”

“huh?”

The door opened, Amber came in, holding a flash light.

“Amber? H… how?”

“How what?”

She came closer to me, rubbing her eyes.

I just looked at her.

“Why are you looking at me as if you’ve seen some kind of ghost?”
