Luhan

The Twelve Legends

Luhan is the second of the Twelve to arrive on Earth. Luhan was four years older than the youngest of his comrades when the Red Force attacked. Therefore, Luhan's powers were more advanced, and his past harder to hide.

His Guardian was a woman named Aliya, who took him to her home in Beijing. Aliyah was a translator for a large company based in Beijing, meaning she pulled a rather high salary. Her co-workers had been rather confused as to why she randomy adopted a preteen child, bur who were they to judge her? She had taken a parentless boy into her care, and nothing was wrong with that.

Luhan had his connection to Exoterra in his distant friend Lay. Though Lay lived on the other side of China, Luhan and Aliya flew out to visit with them about four times a year. Inbetween this time, Luhan and Lay stay in touch using social media. Aliya and Lay's Guardian tend to find the two aliens asleep at their computers, video chat still on. Luhan and Lay often wish they had another set of powers, something that would enablr them to visit each other more. Lay helps Luhan get over his feeling of homesickness most nights. (Luhan says it has omething to do with his powers.)

Because Luhan was older than Kai, Sehun, and Lay his powers had been more potent when he'd arrived on Earth. His power was often much easier to control because of its nature. Yet, in his early years on Earth soccer balls would sometimes fly and hit him in his face for no apparent reason. Aliya had given him a Rubik's Cube to practice his powers with, an odd tool that worked very well. Now, he could solve the puzzle in under thirty seconds, utterly hands free. Aliya often discourged him from relying on his telekinesis too much. (He argues that no one can really tell he's cheating at soccr anyway.)

Aliya does not hide any part of Luhan's past from him. The boy had been to old, with too many questions.  How else do you explian to a tween why their favorite book had suddenly flown across the room?

So, Aliya tells him everything, even about the Prophecy. Sometimes Luhan looks to the sky and imagines that he can see his home planet. These are the nights when even long talks with Lay cannot fill the longing in his chest. How can he so sorely miss a place he can't even remember? He wants desperately to return home.

Soon, he will find he does not have to wait nearly as long as the thought.
