For that sweet person on Tumblr who suggested a Double B x Lee Hi story. I’m sorry I forgot your Tumblr handler. (╥_╥)

Hey, are you still here?

Unsatisfied with herself during the last Family Concert at Osaka, Hayi found herself in the training rooms once again a couple of days before she flies off to Japan again for the Tokyo Dome leg of the tour. Her Manager Oppa, who has finally realized that it is impossible to convince Lee Hi that she’s already perfect as she is, got to terms with her and freely allowed her to practice all she wants just as long as she’s done by midnight.

“Hayi-ya… you can do this” she says to herself, looking at her own reflection in the mirror

A lot of things were going through her mind as she took a break from practicing and sat on the floor. She had her head down and finally gets a reply:

No, I’m already on my way to the dorm with the other members. Why?

Her face scrunches up into a pout. She was kind of hoping that B.I. was still in the building and probably get some company but it was too bad that he already had gone back home.

Hey, are you still practicing?

 Yeah… (´-ω-')

After she said that, no reply came back from B.I. and Hayi thought that he had already gone off to rest which was understandable considering how late it already is. After the last YG Family Concert at Osaka, Hayi grew closer to the Team B boys and often got to see them as she had her vocal lessons moved from the YG HQ to the training building due to the preparations for the other artists.

Of the six Team B boys though, Hayi got really closer to Hanbin the most considering they’ve been airplane buddies and they’re same-aged friends.

It was about eleven-thirty already and Hayi finally was done with her practice. She already had the computer turned off and was packing her stuff away when she noticed a reply from her Kakao.

Hey, are you still there at the second floor vocal room? I’ll meet you there.

She double-checked the message from Hanbin saw that it was sent just a minute ago. She thought that he might just be playing with her and ignored him, leaving him with no reply. She got her stuff and made her way out the door only to be blocked by someone on her way to the elevator.

“Hey, I said I’ll go to you!” Hanbin called at her from the top of his lungs, panting and trying to catch his breath as he made his way up from the basement to here using the staircase “You should’ve waited!”

“What the? You’re really here?” she exclaims, ignoring his rants “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Can we just take a seat somewhere first? I feel like I’m about to pass out”

“Yeah, sure” Hayi couldn’t help but laugh at her pitiful looking friend.

“What are you doing back here? I thought you were already on your way back home” Hayi asked him as she handed him a cup of water to drink.

“Well, I forgot this…” he coughed while he held up his mickey mouse snapback

Hayi sneered, “seriously? You could’ve gotten that tomorrow”

Unable to think about anything good to reply Hanbin just smiled at her real wide and goofy. At this point the two sat there comfortably talking about the things that they had going on with their life. Hanbin could not help but come out as scolding her for staying so late.

“You rocked it at Osaka. You’re going to do great at Tokyo. Stop pushing yourself too hard” He said in a tone that bordered condescending and caring “You shouldn’t be here alone at this hour. You should be at home now”

“I just want to do better. YG said I should do better” she lets out a sigh “I need to be better”

“But you already are the best” Hanbin quipped, trying to make her feel better “Lee Hi is the BEST!”

Hayi raised her eyebrow at him but couldn’t resist laughing, Hanbin felt relieved and laughed too while repeating that “Lee Hi is the BEST!” cheer of his.

“You look tired yourself, Hanbin-a” Hayi remarked as soon as the laughing died down “Are you resting well?”

“What?” he replied, a bit surprised but laughed it off by cheerfully adding “Of course, I’m fine. I’m doing really well.”

No matter how Hayi looked at him, she could see that there was something very off with him. Making her snap at him, “Ya! Kim Hanbin, aren’t we friends?”

“Yeah. Why-?”

“Then why are you lying to me?” she cuts him off “You say you’re fine but your eyes say otherwise”

Hanbin couldn’t say anything, he had so many things going through his head right now that he just wants to forget all of it. He was caught off guard that she saw right through him and didn’t know what to say.

Seeing him all quiet though made Hayi feel guilty and so she said “Hey, no matter what happens after this program (referring to M&M*) you’ll come out stronger”

“I know that” Hanbin finally replied as he stood up after a few seconds of silence “Don’t you think it’s about time to go home, already?”

On their own way home, the two kept replaying their last few minutes together in their head. Hayi felt sorry for making him feel bad and asking him those things meanwhile Hanbin felt bad for being cold to her. The two spent the rest of the night sleepless and wondering if any new Kakaos would pop up but neither of them wanted to message the other one first.

“Hey, hey. Hayi. Put this on.”

“Why?”

“Just please, put this on. Just the idea of you walking through and getting your airport photos taken with just a Mickey shirt on is going to kill me” pleaded Hayi’s stylist unnie, who kept on telling her to wear something over her white Mickey Mouse shirt.

“Okay, okay fine” Hayi said as she grabbed the denim jacket and wore it.

Today, on her way to Tokyo, Hayi wore a plain white shirt with just a picture of Mickey Mouse on it. She didn’t know why exactly but by wearing this she felt a little bit more courageous on going and talking to Hanbin. She’ll be in a flight with the Team B boys again and it would be her first time seeing B.I. since that night that they were at the training room. She still felt bad about it and she hoped that she’d get to talk to him now.

Arriving at the airport, everyone was gathered at the first class lounge and was minding their own business. Hayi spotted Hanbin together with the other boys but she was too shy to approach them, Hanbin saw her too and he clearly took notice of her shirt. He thought about talking to her but was afraid that she might still be upset at him.

“Hayi-ya! Hello!” a familiar voice greeted her from behind “Would you like something?” It was Bobby, who just got back from a coffee shop with some sweets in hand and offered her some.

“No, thank you” she replies at him with a smile. It was hard for Hayi not to smile whenever Bobby talked to her. He just had that positivity in him that even she lights up when she meets him.

“Why are you here? Don’t you want to go and play with the others?” he asks her

“It’s not like that” she explains “I just have something on my mind right now”

Bobby looked at her and made a funny expression by raising an eyebrow and placing a hand on his chin, “Hmmm… Okay. As long as you’re alright then”

“I’m fine, Oppa” she giggled

“Eyyy~ I thought we agreed on just calling me Bobby not Bobby Oppa or Oppa” Bobby whined

“But it’d be rude to just call you by name”

“But, we’re not even a year apart! I’m just older by months!” he cried out, causing her to laugh some more

“That’s true but you’re still an Oppa” she quipped in between her giggles

“Fine then… Hayi-ya, do whatever you want” Bobby sighs exa

Chapter 7: Oh goodness, these kids are too much. I'm so glad that they got to talk it out. But I doubt that Donghyuk was that oblivious ;P
I totally need to see the reactions of the other boys and Winner when Hayi and Hanbin finally get together.

Chapter 5: Huh. Did Hayi really cry on Mix & Match after the vocal lesson? I don't really remember to be honest.
I'm guessing there is going to be some kind of heart-to-heart convo between Hayi and Hanbin. I mean, we all know that the end performance was pretty good, so there must have been some serious reconciliation.

Chapter 4: Interesting developments.
I like how you wrote it as Hayi teasing Hanbin. I think that fit very well.
I'm still interested in seeing how this whole thing will progress.

Random question - do you ship anyone else with Ikon members? I kinda ship Jinhwan/Soohyun. Soooo cute!

Chapter 3: Oh gosh, I totally forgot about that really tough time that Hanbin had gone through.
I like how you wrote this chapter, but I would have loved to see more about how Bobby, the other boys, or even Winner responded in order to support Hanbin (I know we say a glimpse of this in the beginning of the chapter). However, I can't really criticize you for that because this story is about Hanbin and Hayi, not about the other boys. :3 (I just love all those boys, ya know? keke)
And oh man oh man, I am super excited to see how these next few chapters go bc I recall that Hayi's entrance into the M&M show was awkward and they had a rough time in rehearsals and at the same time, there was kinda odd flirting going on (lol).

Chapter 2: Too cute! You are such a good writer!
I could totally picture a lot of the stuff that you wrote.
For example, this part: "'...Stop pushing yourself too hard' He said in a tone that bordered condescending and caring" <----I can TOOOOTALLY picture the way that Hanbin says this. And I feel like that is something that would be said between same-aged friends.
I loved the interaction between Bobby, Jinhwan, and Hayi considering that Hayi was freaked out.
The only part that I thought wasn't as realistic is that Hayi would go to one of the guys rooms because I feel like she would have known that she was asking to scolded, BUT now that I think about it, Hayi is a solo artist which means that she doesn't really have too many other people to keep her company. She will feel lonely quicker, so it's probably best that she hangs out with other artists anyway. I wonder when in the story you'll bring in Soohyun from AKMU or the other girls (or even other sunbaes like Tablo or Big Bang).
I think you did a really great job, and it's seriously making me anticipate the next chapters even more.

Chapter 1: Cute! Of course, a bunch of these are coincidences, but that's the lovely part of fanfiction ;)
I like the banter with Hanbin and Hayi - I think it was pretty natural considering their ages.
Also, I like how throughout the chapter, you kept us guessing on when Hayi would run into Hanbin again and inevitably end up apologizing again.
I also noticed how Junhoe kinda teases Hanbin -- I wonder if Hanbin already likes Hayi at this point...
I look forward to the rest of this story (and I am so relieved that it is a complete story too).

Chapter 8: Loved the story dear~ If i may point something out to you, just trying to help your story flow a bit better but you use "si" in places that don't really need it. At the beginning of the story, its fine because they didn't really know one another but after they become friends they don't really need to talk to each other formally unless they are mad at each other than i guess they could pull that card but It makes it seem like their not close in my opinion. Just a thought, don't think anything bad, i wasn't trying to criticize you in anyway :) I love this shipping and great job none the less~ <33333
