Kyungsoo wasn't sure why he was following his young cousin around the park, trying to capture butterflies. He was pretty sure that he was enjoying it though. Letting out a laugh, he ran after his spriteful cousin down the hill, waving the net in front of him. He was suddenly reminded of the times he pretended to be a knight, charging ahead with a mixture of cheerfulness and mirth, with a sword in his hand.

Quickly pushing that thought to the back of his head, Kyungsoo increased his pace to catch up with the young boy. The boy then tugged at his sleeve while jumping up and down and pointing at the tops of the surrounding trees. 

"Hyung! Hyung! Look there!" he exclaimed excitedly while pointing upwards. Kyungsoo smiled and bent down as he asked, "What is it?"

"Birds! So many! Up there!"

Kyungsoo planted the tall butterfly net into the grass like a spear, pointing upwards before looking in the direction his young comrade was pointing in. The chirping of the creatures reached his ears before he could see them. Then the boy whispered happily in his ear, "I want one. Please!"

The words drowned away in the distance when a mournful tune drifted into Kyungsoo's ears. In a trance, he left both the standing net and his cousin behind, following the tune. The melody wrenched his heart in an unknown way but also lifted off a weight on his chest, like a peaceful war stirring in the pit of his stomach.

Walking, walking, he stopped in front of a bush, dried and yellow, but still standing upright. His eyes fell on a small bird, its small eyes fixed on him as it sang a song of unknown sorrows nobody has ever seen.

I want one.

A/N:
I know I haven't updated my other fics, but before I
get bricked, I had this sudden inspiration after doing a 
case study on Romantic poets who made it an incessant
point to emphasize the importance of Nature.
After a period of contemplating, I decided to do them
a favour and continue their legacy. 

I hope you'll be able to take away something after finishing this fic!
