4th March, Wednesday

            Finally I'm done with middle school, although I am glad that it is over, I enjoyed school a lot. Tomorrow is my first day of high school and I've been feeling jitters in my stomach all week. I'm excited. Also, nervous, but I'm glad Hanbin will be with me. I have to go meet Hanbin now.

                             Hanbin was pacing around his room, fussing over his uniform and school stuff when Taehyun entered and plopped down his friend's bed.

''And I thought I was over reacting about school.''Taehyun laughed, amused at his friend's behaviour.

''Please. We both know how nervous we are for tomorrow. Our reputation throughout highschool depends on the first day. We can't show up looking shabby and Oh my God what is wrong with your hair?'' Hanbin flailed. Taehyun let out a nervous chuckle, running his fingers through his long-ish brown hair which was now in a perfect middle parting. ''I thought I'd try something new. Something manly.'' Taehyun shrugged.

 Hanbin just scoffed and rolled his eyes at his best friend's choice of a manly hair.

''Hey kids!'' Mino's grinning face appeared at the door. ''Nice hair.'', he looked at Taehyun and sneered. ''Go away, Mino'' Hanbin scowled, ''-hyung'' he added when Mino gave him a look. Taehyun just sat there, lips tightly pinched together and in a deep breath looking slightly offended. He hated how Mino left mocking comments here and there but Taehyun never had the heart to come back at him because he knew the older was just messing with him to annoy him.

''Anyway, I'm here to remind you both to hold hands when you enter school tomorrow. You don't wanna get lost, the highschool is quite big compared to middle school.'' Mino laughed in an obnoxious way, the way he always does when he makes fun of the two 'kids'. Taehyun hates how Mino acts so 'grown-up' when he is only a year older than them. Taehyun isn't quite sure since when Mino started acting this way but he missed those times when the three of them would hang out together. That was before Mino graduated middle school. Eversince then, Mino gradually stopped hanging out with the younger ones. Mino had 'grown-up'. He became more atheletic, became smarter and had a cool group of highschool friends that he had no time for Hanbin and Taehyun. They had grown distant, especially Taehyun and Mino. Ofcourse Hanbin and Mino were brothers so they were still somewhat close. Taehyun hated that and he was determined to change it. He was determined to become cooler and smarter so that Mino would want to hang out with him again.

             The cafeteria was a lot noisier than the one at their previous school. Hanbin, Taehyun and Junhwe sat at the corner of the cafeteria. ''Because it had a good view of the whole cafe.'' Hanbin reasoned as to why they chose the table, not because they were too intimidated to sit at the ones in the middle. Junhwe had returned the previous day from a vacation abroad and Taehyun couldn't help but notice how he had grown in such a short time. Junhwe was almost a head taller than his two friends and he had become leaner. Puberty did him good. But he was still the shy kid, they knew by the way the tip of his ears turned red when a few senior girls tried to chat him up earlier at the lockers. Taehyun and Hanbin couldn't help but snicker at their poor timid friend.

               Taehyun scanned the cafeteria as the three friends ate their lunch. He spotted Mino on the other side. He wasn't sitting or having lunch, he was standing with one hand supporting himself on a table. Taehyun thought Mino looked very good and charming, his sleeves rolled up showing toned tan arms, tie hanging loosely from his neck. Mino was effortlessly hot and Taehyun wouldn't be surprised if he was extremely popular among the girls. A skinny boy with laughing eyes had an arm over Mino's shoulder and they seemed to be talking to someone seated at that table. Taehyun looked closely to find a cute girl smiling up at Mino. It wouldn't take a genius to see that they were flirting and before Taehyun knew it he was nudging Hanbin saying ''Look there's your brother,''

Hanbin looked up and then went back to eating with a disinterested ''hmmm''

''Is she his girlfriend?'' Taehun wanted to know.

''No.'' Hanbin simply said.

Taehyun frowned a little as he went back to his food feeling slightly disappointed and frustrated. He hated how Mino seemed to be flirting with a girl. He hated how Mino seemed to be enjoying it. He hated the fact that Hanbin didn't care- why would he anyway? He hated that he couldn't do anything about it. Most of all, he hated that he was feeling this way.
