There are many companies active in the Korea Entertainment industry that boast their own kpop stars. SM,JYP,YG,Cube,Leon,Pledis and Woolin are among the most famous. All companies have their own goals that can differ who gets a call back and who doesn't. For example, SM colloquially said to look who are pretty and handsome, JYP chooses base on looks and talent equally, and YG choose base more on talent than on looks.
