Final.

10010

I sat there with all my focus on the screen in front of me, my room was dark and the only light source was in fact from the screen. A series of different codes, numbers and letters were all over the screen. My eyes taking their time to look at each thing. To an ordinary computer user this may have been random things up on the screen and they have been worried about a potential virus being on their computer.

But not me, I was used to seeing this sight everyday. Because this is what some people would call my job, or hobby. What is you ask? Well since the age of fourteen I've been a hacker. Each year getting better and better. I can hack into everything imaginable, but I can't share my talent with anyone. It's not like I have anyone to share it with. I'm used to hiding in the shadows and keeping away from people.

I reached for the drink that was sat next to me, but as I did the doorbell rang. My first thought was to ignore it and let the person walk off, but as I was home alone I think my parents would find it best for me to open the door. This would mean I would have to get up off my backside...which is hard because I near to never to that, when I'm in a hacking sense of mind anyway.

I got up off my seat and headed down the stair to answer the door and when I did a man was stood there. I started to look him over, unsure of whether to let him in or not. Just as I was about to ask him in, he started to speak to me.

"We've been looking for you." The man at the door spoke out; he wore a black suit and had an ear piece on his left ear. He looked sternly at me as he grabbed me by the arms and pushed me into a big black van.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" I voiced out, I was confused and had no idea what was going on. This man was clearly from the secret services but what did he want? It was then he replied, "There's no point in pretending, we know who you are and we know you're the best hacker around."

I gasped, how on earth did he know that?

"By now you have probably figured out I'm a secret agent, and that is how I know about your illegal activity." Well that answered the question at hand, but to be fair it wasn't the only question I had to ask. I coughed a little before I decided to ask the question that was at the tip of my tongue. "Am I in trouble?"

The man before me shook his head, "You won't be as long as you leave your old life and start a new one as one of our trainees." I nodded accepting the challenge even though I knew I had no other choice. But even though I had no choice, I was still excited.

"So?" I asked, "When do I start?"

The man grabbed the handle of the van door and nodded to my house outside. "Say good bye to your old life now as your new one has just begun." And that is just what I did, but only for a few seconds as the mysterious suited man had shut the door of van as well as the door to my old life. The journey to the compound was a long one so I thought it would be best to make at least a little bit or conversation.

But as I was a person that was always stuck in front of a screen I -had very little social skills- had no clue of how to start speaking to him. "So..." Was how I managed to get started. He just stared at me, waiting for me to continue my sentence. "Are you going to tell my parents?" He shook his head and looking incredibly serious whilst doing so. "I told you before, and you must really start to learn listening, you must leave your old behind. Therefore we will stage a fatal accident that you were a part of."

I nodded, letting the words go through my brain...it was really hard to process, suddenly disappearing from my family and friends and allowing them to think I was dead. It was unlike anything I had ever done before.

Then again, it’s not everyday you become a spy in training.

“Who will I be training with then?” I asked him, I was rather curious about this because I just wanted to get started. I didn’t want to wait anymore; at last I will be able to show people my awesome hacking skills. At long last.

“With promising young people that are the same age as you, of course.”  Came his reply. After that I just remained silent until we arrived at our distention. It was hours until we stopped and he opened the door.

What I saw was like nothing I was going to expect, it looked like any ordinary building. But then I remembered, it was full of spies. Spies hide from everyone and everything. So it made sense that the building looked normal.

I think I must have been staring at the building a bit too long because the next thing that I know I’m being pulled towards the said building. As I stepped inside I had the same normal feeling, but there were people dressed in black everywhere.

I looked around the room we were in; the room was empty apart from the lift in the back. I watched as people walked in and out of them. I was dragged over to one of them, I watched as the man with me scanned his eyes in a machine that was placed next to it. He then said and stated a lot of those things were as follows.

“This Agent SM, ID number 2056-KM3. I have one guest with me, known by the name Byun Baekhyun.” Once he had finished the doors slide open and we both stepped inside the lift.

I did want to look around, but before I knew it we dropped. My eyes widened and my hands were screaming to grab onto something. We went through a tube system and dropped into a completely different room from the first.

As I fell out of the tube I fell straight onto my face, let’s just say that hurt quite a lot. I heard a few people laugh at me, all I done was look up and glare at them. They paid me very little attention though and soon walked away. I took that opportunity to look at my new surroundings.

This room was very much the opposite of the previous room, it was dark in colour –the other room had been a much lighter colour, full of creams and pastel colours. There were mirrors and high-tech equipment everywhere. There were spies walking all over the place, in every possible direction. Some looked scary and serious, but on the other hand, others looked much friendlier.

The man from before -Agent SM- tapped my shoulder and snapped me out of whatever it was I was in. “Follow me.” Is what he said, and that is what I did.

We went through hallways and went through rooms, each room we went or went through he told me the name of it. We then arrived at a changing room; he gave me some clothes and told me to change. He stepped out of the room for a moment to allow me some privacy.

I looked at the clothes in my hands before placing them on my body. My old clothes I threw to the side. They were a part of my old life, I didn’t need them anymore. My clothes were better, more resilient. They were full leather, like clothes for a motorbike. It was pretty cool. I felt like a proper spy-in-training.

I stepped out of the room and found Agent SM again; he then showed me to one final room and gave me a few things. One of them was the coolest headsets that I had ever seen, my eyes were instantly drawn to it.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Agent SM trying to hold back a smile. “This is where we part ways Byun Baekhyun. May you become a great spy.” And with that said; he left.

The new room that I had been left in appeared to be a training room, there were weapons off to the far left and on the floor were training mats. I walked further into the room and observed everything, every little detail.

Once I had adjusted to the room at hand I sat on bench that was placed at the back of the room. It wasn’t long before eleven other boys walked into the room. They all looked friendly enough, but looked so much more experienced than me. One of them particularly caught my ear.

He had the biggest grin going on his face, and he looked really tall. By the looks of things he was far taller than the rest of us, in fact I think he was the second tallest. There was one boy taller than him…and boy did he look scary. The boy with the grin had the strangest looking ears I had ever seen; they looked almost elf-like. It was rather weird.

All the boys look at me and I looked back, there was no way I was going to get up to speak to them though. It seemed like I didn’t need to though, because the tall, lanky guy that I was looking at walked over.

I felt my cheeks heat up.

“Hi there. You must be new, my name’s Park Chanyeol. What’s yours?” The boy, Chanyeol, didn’t speak very long but I could tell that he was very talkative. And loud. But his voice was so deep and y I couldn’t help my blush getting deeper.

“My name’s Byun Baekhyun.” When I said my name I could have sworn that his grin got wider. He called over the other boys, it seemed to me that they were all friends with each other.

“Guys, this is Baekhyun. Baekhyun this is; Suho, Sehun, Tao, Kris, Lay, Luhan, Kai, Xiumin, D.O and Chen.” As he introduced each of them he pointed at each of the boys. I made sure to remember each of their faces. It turned out to be Kris that was scary tall one.

I got talking to the guys and I had a lot in common with a few of them, and it Kris wasn’t as bad as I thought he was. He’s actually a bit of a softy. Our talk got interrupted by what I guessed to be the instructor.

“Ahh, I see the new meat is here. Agent SM told me about you.” He spoke out. “I am your instructor, I expect you to be on time to each of your training sessions. The boys can show around when we’ve done with this session. You are to refer to me Agent YG. Understood?”

I nodded. But I was unsure; did this mean that we were doing physical based work? This is not what I wanted. There was no way I was going to accept this fate. I was going to get on a computer if this was the last thing I do; I had been off of mine for way too long.

I crossed my arms and cocked out a hip. “I do hope you’re not expecting me do anything physical.” Agent YG laughed at my attitude. I noted that he was indeed shaking his head at me.

“Goodness no, I know about you Byun Baekhyun. Not done a hint of exercise in your life, we don’t want you dying before we can see what you can do with a computer.”

I sighed a hint of relief…until I heard someone complaining. “But Agent YG, that’s not fair. We have to do it!” I looked in the direction of the complainer and it was Sehun. If I remembered correctly he was the youngest out of all of us…no wonder he was complaining.

“Dear Sehun, there is a very good reason for this. All you boys were made to be out there fighting, doing all the physical stuff. And little Baekhyun here is at a bit of a disadvantage, he only started today. You’ve been training for about four months, no?”

“I’m sorry sir. You’re right, but I don’t understand what you mean by we were made to do that stuff. Was Baekhyun made for something else?” As Sehun asks his question some of the other boys nod, they were clearly thinking the same thing.

“Sehun, I believe that is something that you need to ask Baekhyun. That reminds me Baekhyun, all of your equipment is going to be sent over from your house. It’s a bit hard as we have to be very discrete about it. It should be here soon though.” The instructor told the pair of us.

Sehun and a few of the others, including Chanyeol, turned to look at me. It was then I knew they were going to ask what it that I did. I mean, I lot of people would ask that question considering most spies why good at doing things were physical.

“What were you made to do then, Baekhyun.” Surprisingly enough it wasn’t Sehun who asked the question, but Suho. This shocked me a little, but I still answered it. “I was born to hack…that’s what I do.”

All the boys looked at me in awe; it was like they had never met a hacker before. I didn’t think that they were that rare. Or that they were rare at all. I heard Agent YG chuckling before he quickly explained the reason for their faces. “ You see Baekhyun, I’m sure you’re aware of the many hackers. That would make sense as you are one…But the thing is, most of them are on the opposite side, in fact you’re the only one here. This is why we want to train you badly.”

“Oh.” Was the only thing I could say. But I didn’t get much of a chance to say anything else as the training had started. The only thing I was told to do was watch, as there was no computer in the room I had no chance to familiarize myself with their computer system. It would seem that I would have to wait a little longer before I could get anything done.

Watching the boys doing their physical training made me want to join in, it looked fun. They looked like the real spies-in-training, I looked like someone trying to play hide and seek in the most obvious of places…

Also as I watched them I couldn’t help but keep my sight on a certain someone, there was something about Chanyeol that drew me to him. It almost felt like he was hacking his way into my brain, but I knew that wasn’t possible. It was weird though…even when training he still had that dopey grin on his beautiful  face.

Weeks had passed, but boy had they flown. I now knew my way around the compound, I didn’t even need help. But since I had arrived I couldn’t help but notice I hadn’t actually left. At all. It’s that I minded, I mean this place had everything and it’s not like I ever left the training room.

A few days after I had arrived so did my software. I practically hugged my things to death, it made the others laugh. But I really couldn’t care less. It was all placed in the training room, this was so Agent YG could keep an eye on me, even though he didn’t have a clue what a lot of it meant.  So since then I rarely left the training room.

Although most of the time I wasn’t alone, since my arrival I had gotten very close to the man of my dreams Chanyeol. At first I didn’t want him looking over my shoulder at what I was doing, but I then realised it wasn’t really that bad. I had soon got used to it. I gotten used to him. I was really starting to like him, but even if I was to fall for him it was to never be. Spies are not allowed to fall in love…it gets in the way of the job.

But there was something that I noticed, Chanyeol…he was starting to get into hacking. He seemed very interested in what I was doing. But to be fairly honest he was very clumsy, when I watched him in practise he was always tripping over his feet and injuring himself. Even though I found it funny, I always made sure to check whether he was alright. He always was, and still grinning.

“Baekhyun, hey Baekhyun…can I ask you a question?” I was busy typing on my keyboard, and speaking in my headpiece. I quickly directed my focus over to him and nodded before going back to my task at hand.

“Do you think it’s possible to hack into someone’s heart?”

His question caught me by surprise, my hands stopped in their tracks. My mouth agape. “W-What are you talking about, Chanyeol?”

“Well, you see…I think you must have hacked into my heart…because whenever I’m near you, my heart skips a beat…” My cheeks flushed, he can’t be serious…

“I think you should see a doctor, it’s got nothing to do with me.” I told him, I was hoping that if I was sassy he would drop the subject. He didn’t.

“Baek…it’s got everything to do with you, because I truly believe that you have hacked your way into my heart…even your voice makes me go crazy…”

I looked at the computer screen and refused to look at him, but the stubborn guy wasn’t going to let that happen…I knew it, it was certain. It was confirmed when he slide his fingers under my chin and forced me to look at him.

“Tell me…” He started, “Is it true…?” I looked deep into his eyes, I could instantly tell…he wasn’t joking, he was being completely honest…

“Maybe I have…but the only know you’ll know if you become a hacker, like me.” He face fell a little and this was something that I had never seen him do before. It shocked me a little bit. I inched my face closer to his as I whispered, “But I can teach you.”

And from then on I began to teach him how to hack, he picked it up quickly and I knew that coding and complicated mapping systems were his thing. Like they were mine…but I really didn’t mind sharing them with me.

In a matter of weeks he became the official second hacker of the compound; in fact he had completely stopped doing physical training. They even set up a computer for him; it was set opposite from mine. But that posed as a bit of a problem as that meant we were always looking at each other. It only made my feelings for him grown stronger.

But the inevitable happened, something I didn’t want to happen. At the age of eighteen I found my first love, and he was Park Chanyeol. Everything about him was perfect; I could barely hold my feelings in. But I had to, or it could cause trouble for both of us.

It was a rare day that I was out of the training room; I had left Chanyeol in there. Alone. But I don’t think he really minded, he had become like not wanted to leave the room. I was hanging out with Tao, from what I had seen he was one of the youngest but was by far one of best fighters. He was bound to become a real spy quicker than the rest of us. I was talking to him about my situation with Chanyeol. He was the person I was closest to, other than Chanyeol himself. But it’s not like I can talk to Chanyeol about it.

“You’re saying that you love him?” Tao asked me, we both sat in the cafeteria Tao was stuffing his face with food.

“Yes, I am but…”

“You’re worried about the no dating, no falling in love rule?” He asked me, he was full of question today.

“Yeah, I mean. Who wouldn’t be?” I asked him this time.

“I’m not. I broke it.” I choked in the drink that I was sipping, Tao had broken the rule? He must have been very stealthy because even I hadn’t noticed it. But then again, he was a spy-in-training. What was I to expect?

“With who?” Saying I was curious was a clear underestimate.

“Kris.” He told me shrugging his shoulders as if it wasn’t a big deal. I couldn’t help but smile though because those two always hung out and I couldn’t help how good they looked together. And that’s what I told Tao, but he only replied with, “Yeah, but so you and Chanyeol so grow some balls and tell him.”

Somewhere in my heart I knew he was right, but my mind told me otherwise. I decided that it wouldn’t be the time to tell him…but would it ever be?

A whole year had passed before I thought about telling him again, I had to put up with a whole year of being opposite him everyday. My feelings growing so strong, I blushed whenever I was around him.

Our graduation had arrived, today was the day we would become real spies. We would be in training no longer, and I would be a fully-fledged hacker. Alongside Chanyeol.

One by one each of us why called up and handed our badges and proof of us being spies, and that meant we could finally leave the compound as our eyes’ irises had been put into the system. I smiled I was happy.

Before I knew it graduation was over and the party celebrating it had started. We had all been put in the same team, and this meant all of us would still be working together. Tao tapped me on the shoulder and motioned his head towards Chanyeol.

He was right, now was the time to tell him…but did he still feel the same way?

I looked at Tao for some support but he was too busy the life out of Kris to care. I rolled my eyes; I couldn’t believe he was doing that out in the open like that. Ignoring him was the best idea, so that is what I done, going on me merry way.

I went up to that perfect, lanky boy and poked him in the ribs. I was too short to reach his shoulder. He turned around and showed me his beautiful grin…I shook my head the tiniest bit and I told myself to focus. “Is there a chance I could speak to you? In private?” His grin widened and nodding, saying something about how he wanted to speak to me as well.

We both headed over to the now empty training room, it was so isolated now…it looked kind of miserable without everyone training and having a good laugh.

“What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?” I heard him ask from behind me.

I turned around and it turned out that he was much closer that I thought he was, he was literally two centimetres away from me. I could feel our breath mingling. I coughed before beginning what I wanted to say.

“Do you remember when you asked whether I had hacked your heart?” Chanyeol let out a big breathe which went all over my face, this caused me to blush madly.

“I remember it perfectly. And I never got my answer…” Was the answer that left his lips, in a hushed whisper.

“Here’s your answer…” I said, stepping closer. “I didn’t hack your heart, but I’m pretty sure you hacked mine…” I had the urge to close my eyes and so that is what I done. As I did I felt his lips close over mine…

A spark ignited all over my body and my face felt hot, his lips were soft and welcoming. I opened my eyes and I was met with his beautiful browns orbs. There was so much emotion in those eyes…so much love…

We slowly pulled out of the kiss and smiled at each other contently. “You may not have hacked my heart, but it still feels like it…”

“What about the rules?”

“What rules? We’re hackers, we can work around the system…If we can hack each others hearts, the hack the rules away.”

I smiled at his words, he was right. No-one can hold us down and tell us what to do, we’re hackers. And nothing will stop us.

“Oh, and one other thing.” Chanyeol spoke out. He hugged me close and whispered straight into my ear, “I love you, Byun Baekhyun.”

Chapter 1: This was literally so adorbs and unique!!! Your writing is beautiful as well, and the characterization is amazing. Wish I could see more of them~ (though, the characters and relationships would have to be adjusted in light of everything that's happened.)
