The Missing Piece of the Puzzle

Prologue

            After being hurt twice, Kim Yeon-mi doesn’t want to love anymore. After being hurt twice, she has learned her lesson. She told herself never to love again. Her friend, Lee Min-ki doesn’t like what she is seeing. Her best friend, who used to be a cheery and happy-go-lucky girl is now a loner and lonely. She knows what the cause it. She wants to help her but she wouldn’t let her. Then, that was when it hit her. A date. That is the answer to all of her problems. But, who will the guy be?

*ring*

“Yoboseyo?” Min-ki answered her phone. She was doing her homework so she was a little bit aggravated that someone had called her.

“Min-ki-ya? It’s Kiseop.” The man on the other line, Kiseop said. That was when it hit her. This was the answer to Yeon-mi’s problems. This is the missing piece of the puzzle.

“Neh, Kiseop-oppa, can I ask a favor?” Min-ki asked.

            It was Monday again. Yeon-mi and Min-ki were walking to school. It was a beautiful day but Yeon-mi’s aura wasn’t as beautiful.

“Ah! Yeon-mi-unnie, can you accompany me somewhere after school?” Min-ki asked her cheerfully.

“Where to?” Yeon-mi answered sadly and lazily.

“I’m going to meet a friend of mine. I think you and this person will get a long well.” Min-ki smiled. She looked at Yeon-mi and saw – nothing. She was like an empty shell.

“Who’s this friend of yours, Min-ki-ya?” Yeon-mi asked. Min-ki smiled.

“You’ll see.” She said.

*ring*

“Yoboseyo?” the voice on the other line said.

“Oppa, it’s me.” Min-ki said.

“Ah, Min-ki-ya, what do you need?” Kiseop asked.

“Remember that favor I asked? Can we do it today?” Min-ki asked. She had her fingers crossed and hoped he would agree.

“Okay, why not.” Kiseop said. Min-ki yelled a silent yes!

“Is everything okay? I heard something.” Kiseop asked. Min-ki mentally slapped herself for being so stupid.

“No problem, no problem at all. See you in Han River at 6.” Min-ki said as she hung up.

“6? Why 6?” Kiseop asked himself.

“Kiseop-ya, is hanging out with Xander-hyung made you like him? Have you gone crazy too?” Kibum asked him.

“No, hyung, that’s not it.” Kiseop told Kibum. Suddenly, Kiseop thought of something.

“Neh, Kibum-hyung, can you accompany me to Han River tonight?” he asked.

“Sorry, Kiseop-ya, I can’t. Try Eli. I think he’s free.” Kibum said as he packed up his things.

“I’ll be leaving.” Kibum said. Kiseop went and looked for Eli. He found him in his room listening to music.

“Eli-ya.” Kiseop said. Eli took off his headphones and looked at Kiseop.

“Hm?” he said. Kiseop asked the same question he asked Kibum.

“Why not. I’m free tonight.” Eli said, agreeing.

“Yes! Thank you so much Eli!” Kiseop said as he ran back to the living room. In his phone, he found a message:

우리가한강에만나자이후, 난내친구를가져올것이다. 당신도가져수있습니다. 아~ 그리고저는그가어쨌든, 여섯에서보자, 초콜릿주문하세요! ^ ^의

‘Aigoo~ that kid is cute.’ Kiseop thought to himself.

U-kiss is not an idol group here. They are regular people who are best friends and live together in one dorm.
