Donghae and Hyukjae were sitting comfortably on the couch while watching the evening news. Jin-A would have joined them, and they did ask her to do so in an attempt to have some family bonding time, but she thought doing her homework would be better. “Cold, cold, freezing rain, and more cold.” Donghae whined as he watched the weekly weather flash on the screen. “Why does it have to be so cold?”
“Because it is soon winter.” Hyukjae said as he threw his arm around the other. “Plus it gives me an excuse to cuddle with you.”
“I do like to cuddle.” Donghae said as he placed his head upon Hyukjae’s shoulder. Suddenly a knock on the door had Donghae sitting up straight. “Who is that?”
“I don’t know.” Hyukjae said as he got up and made his way to the door. “I’ll tell you once I open the door.”
“Jin-A!” Donghae called. “Did you invite Hwa over tonight?”
A faint no could be heard coming from the girl’s room. “I’m coming, hold on!” Hyukjae said when another knock came from the door. “Hello?” he said as he opened it to find two men standing in the doorway with a plate of cookies. “Oh my god not you two. I’m sorry but I am not entertaining today.” Hyukjae began as he shut the door without giving the others outside a chance to speak.
“Who is it Hyuk?” Donghae asked as he got up from the couch.
“Oh, just some people trying to sell us cookies or something…” Hyukjae voice wondered off as Donghae walked past him and over to the door opening it.
“Oh, hello.” Donghae said as he opened the door wider and gave the two men a smile. “Are you selling cookies? I love cookies.”
“We aren’t selling anything.” The smaller of the two men said. “We live down the street and we heard that-“
“Excuse me for one moment.” Donghae said as he shut the door and turned to Hyukjae. “They aren’t selling anything, why did you shut the door!” Donghae shouted as he wacked the other upside the head.
“What was that for?” Hyukjae whined as he rubbed his head. “That hurt!”
“They even brought us cookies for ’s sake!” Donghae said as he pointed towards the kitchen. “Go make us some tea.” Donghae growled before he opened the door once again. “I’m sorry about that, please come in.” Donghae said as he let the two men inside. “My husband can be a bit… well… himself sometimes. Please forgive him.” Donghae led them into the living room, “You can sit on the couch if you want to. Do you like tea? I’m having Hyukjae make us some.”
“Tea would be lovely!” the smaller and more cheerful man said as he sat down on the couch and placed the plate of cookies he had on the coffee table. “We brought some cookies along, I made them myself and I assure you they are delicious.”
Donghae sat down on the chair adjacent from the couch and picked up a cookie from the plate. “These are good.” He said once he took a bite of one. “Oh , where are my manners?” Donghae said realizing that he had not yet introduced himself. “My name is Donghae; Hyukjae never mentioned that he knew any of his neighbors. Mind if I ask you your names?”
“My name is Ryeowook.” The smaller man said before pointing to the man next to him. “This is Yesung, he doesn’t like to talk very much.” Ryeowook giggled as he looked to Yesung who was sitting with his legs crossed and mout
