Foreword
“Let’s go in here for a minute.” Donghae said as he walked into the living room with Hyukjae in pursuit. “I don’t want this to sound needy or anything but Jin-A and I need a place to stay for a while and I couldn’t think of anyone to go too besides you so…”
“What happened with the apartment I found you?” Hyukjae asked as he pulled the other farther into the living room and away from the ears of the girl in the kitchen.
“I got fired a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to make the payments.” Donghae whispered. “I am trying to find another job but no one wants to hire a single dad with no college degree.” Hyukjae furrowed his brow and paced around the room for a moment. “I swear I wouldn’t have come to you if it wasn’t really important.”
“I can let you stay here until you find a job but I don’t have the capability to help you pay for Jin-A’s medical treatments.” Hyukjae answered.
Donghae nodded. “I understand; I spent the last of my money paying off her last bill that’s why I couldn’t afford to pay the rent. I’ll find a way to make some money I swear.” Donghae promised.
The two stood in silence for a moment with the sound of the news filling the silence. “In recent news a local couple has been charged with fraud.” The news reporter said. “The so-called couple was found to be faking their marriage in order to gain benefits…”
“Hyukjae!” Donghae squealed with excitement before getting down on one knee and taking the others hand. “Will you marry me?”
