The last time anyone has ever seen Lee Yejin was two months after high school started. Everyone knew of the way she was treated in middle school, and they could all see why the runt of the class was harshly bullied. When she comes back for her final year of high school, 'surprised' was an understatement to what the student body felt when Lee Yejin comes back. 
 

"Lee Yejin?" A girl rolled the name on her tongue, unconsciously twirling a lock of hair around her pale finger. "I've seen her around the halls before. Actually, I think she's in my math class- think. I don't know!"

A taller boy dribbled a basketball casually as he recalled his former classmate. "Yeah, she gets a lot of . I've seen the cheerleaders throw a bunch of insults at her before, but that's nothing compared to what the sports teams did to her. I don't know, man- they're just trying to have fun, you catch my drift? She was an easy target. I'd be lying if I said I didn't do a thing to her once or twice, but you can't blame me. Everyone did something to her." 

"Yejin... Yejin.... Right! Lee Yejin, the scrawny flat-chested girl that everyone picks on!" The school's chess team leader clapped his hands when a lightbulb flashed in his head. "Don't tell anyone, but when I first saw her, I thought she was a twelve year old girl who skipped a few grades. She's so skinny! I'm not even talking about the good type!" 

A pack of girls fawned over a tanned boy as he played with the wheels on his skateboard. "Never heard of her." 

One of the girls playfully rolled her eyes, lightly smacking his arm. "Kai, don't lie! She's one of the girls you used to torment, remember? Psh, so forgetful." The rest of the girls giggled.

Kai stopped playing with the wheels. He stared at the ground silently, the tension around the group growing thicker by the second. No one dared to move nor speak until the boy slowly spoke. 

"Yeah," he breathed. His expression grew dark. 

"I remember her."

Chung Bora, Lee Yejin's only friend at Seoul High School of Performing Arts, grew a ghostly smile at the end of every interview she had with the different students. 

"It's a good thing that you remember her," she said with a thin voice. "Because when she comes back tomorrow morning, I hope you all remember the memories that you shared with her dearly."
