Foreword

“Can we work together, now?” Jongin scratched the back of his head. “I’m pretty much done with my bit, and it’s not easy to actually write separately, you know? We could go to my house sometime and finish it.”

Kyungsoo didn’t want to go to his house. Alone. He didn’t quite trust himself, and he certainly didn’t trust the rumour mill, which worked faster than anything else in the school. Dragging Jongin’s reputation down didn’t really appeal to his soft side, microscopic as it was.

But Jongin was looking at him with something like hope, like a puppy slowly making a nudje of himself, and Kyungsoo refused to be weakened.

His mouth betrayed him. “What’re you doing after school tonight?”

Chapter 1: im ready to flail at how utterly adorable this is
at first i didnt know what to expect bec i felt like soo's character was always bullied and misunderstood and tbh i dont do well with reading bullying in fics even tho it wasnt as bad or terrible in this one, so i just really felt bad for soo. though i have to commend that his character here was strong and not pushed around and even though he was practically alone he didnt struggle with loneliness as much
jongin coming into his life i think is like a milestone for him bec jongin is the new kid, the easiest target to spread rumors he would believe from and about people he has no prior knowledge about, but instead of believing them and letting that get in the way, he was kind to kyungsoo and sincere with his gestures, and even tho that probably wouldnt have happened had they not been paired together for the paper, i just wanna believe it was meant to be anyway. jongin's character here is so ing endearing i can just imagine oo falling for him over and over again
those kisses towards the end of the fic were just so adorable???? to die for????? it was awkward yet comfortable???? idk thats how i felt okay
im glad soo has jongin in his life now and i hope jongin doesnt have to move again and leave soo.....

Chapter 1: I am honestly inwardly squealing with delight at how off the beaten track-like cute this was, how smartly it was written and how it succeeded into getting all of the reader's attention, but only if you wanted to truly revel in this really great piece of writing, that is. I am extremely merry that someone actually thought about building different personas for them, other than their cliche ones, and that the same someone managed to make them fit into a reality very much like ours.
