Bubble tea, room B26. Now.

Luhan re-read the message, momentarily confused as to who would send him such a thing. Then, he remembered. How could he be so forgetful?

With his lips pressed into a thin line, Luhan quickly typed a reply, hoping his professor didn’t see him. It was his first class for the day, and he didn’t want his day to start on a bad note.

To: Oh Se-Jerk

I’m in class. Can’t this wait?

Luhan began tapping on the wooden desk, anxiously waiting for Sehun’s reply.

From: Oh Se-Jerk

No. You promised.

Luhan furrowed his brows in annoyance. He was aware that he owed Sehun big time, but he was a diligent student. He couldn’t afford to miss one day in class.

For the rest of the period, Luhan decided to ignore the continuous buzzing of his cellphone. He knew Sehun was going to be pissed at him, but right now he didn’t care.

When the bell signaling the end of class rang, Luhan was the first one out the door. As he was stuffing his books inside his bag, he felt someone bump into him. His books scattered on the ground, and he was immediately kneeling down to pick them up.

“Today is not going well.” Luhan muttered to himself.

“Trust me, it’s about to get worse.”

The familiarity of the voice sent chills down Luhan’s spine. He gulped, slowly bringing his gaze up.

“J-Ji Hoo… it’s so nice to see you.” Luhan said, forcing a smile. He had hoped after their little scene with Sehun the previous day, Ji Hoo was going to turn a new leaf. Oh boy was he wrong.

“Yeah, you too.” He grinned maniacally. “Especially without your knight in shining armor protecting you.”

Luhan’s eyes widened in fear. Ji Hoo made a move to grab onto the collar of Luhan’s shirt when an eerily calm voice spoke from behind Ji Hoo.

“Luhan, where have you been?”

Just like the previous day, Luhan was grateful for Sehun’s sudden appearance. He could feel Ji Hoo’s grip on his collar slip away.

“Ah, Sehun, how are you doing man?” Ji Hoo tried to mask the nervousness in his voice. Sehun ignored him.

“I’m still waiting for my bubble tea.”

Luhan blinked up at him. “I… I was about to go get you some when-”

“He tripped!” Ji Hoo exclaimed. Sehun turned to look at him with raised brows, so Ji Hoo continued. “I saw him drop his books so I was helping him up.”

“Really?” Sehun didn’t believe him for a second.

“Isn’t that right, Luhan-ah?”

Luhan flinched. “Yes, he is correct.”

Sehun turned to look back and forth between Luhan and his bully, before he knelt down and grabbed Luhan’s arm, dragging him away from the scene.

“When will you ever stop covering for him?” Sehun’s voice was icy, and Luhan couldn’t help but flinch at his tone.

“I’m not covering for him.”

“That’s bull and you know it.”

Luhan sighed and forced a smile, gently prying Sehun’s hands off of his arm. “I’m going to go get your bubble tea now.”

Sehun looked at him.

“Stay here, I’ll be right back!”

And in a flash, Luhan was gone. Sehun pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled loudly.

“What will I do with you, Luhan?”

To: Oh Se-Jerk

Where are you?

Luhan puffed his cheeks in annoyance. He was holding the cold drink in one hand, and his phone in the other. He was tempted to call Sehun, but in the end he opted not to. Instead, he figured he’d go to the Performing Arts building, where Sehun was most probably at.

The Performing Arts building was a lot bigger than the building Luhan was used to, so it was only a matter of minutes before Luhan realized he was lost.

“Maybe I should call Baekhyun.” Luhan contemplated.

He was about to dial Baekhyun’s number when he caught sight of a familiar mop of blonde hair inside one of the classrooms. Luhan peered inside and a smile formed on his lips when he spotted Sehun. He turned the door knob but stopped when he realized that Sehun wasn’t alone.

Luhan’s brows furrowed as he observed the pair. Sehun was talking fast, and the girl with him kept shaking her head, face red in anger. It didn’t take a genius to know that the two of them were fighting. Luhan pursed his lips and glanced down at the drink he was holding. Sighing, he decided it was best if he didn’t interrupt the two. So, he sat himself on the ground and began rummaging through his back pack. He took out a small piece of paper and wrote down a note for Sehun.

Saying that Sehun was mad was an understatement. He was beyond furious. He couldn’t fathom why Krystal was behaving this way.

“Why are you giving up?” Sehun asked, his voice breaking.

“It’s just not worth it anymore, Sehun.” Krystal replied harshly. She crossed her arms, glaring pointedly at Sehun.

Sehun looked down dejectedly. Their parents weren’t exactly fond of their relationship (if you could call it that), but Sehun thought that after everything they’ve been through, it would be enough for Krystal to keep fighting. He couldn’t believe how wrong he was. Did Krystal even love him at all?

“Was it ever worth it?” Sehun asked in a whisper.

It took a while before Krystal replied. “No, it wasn’t.”

Sehun was afraid. He was afraid he was going to say something to hurt her, so he turned to leave. Call him a coward, but he just couldn’t face Krystal right now. He pushed the door open with full force, making Krystal jump slightly.

Sehun was seething in anger, and he felt highly claustrophobic all of a sudden. His kept on looking around, but not really knowing what he was looking for. His head was starting to spin, and just as he was about to run across the empty hallway, his gaze landed on a dark colored drink just beside one of the pillars. He was momentarily confused, before he realized what it was. It was the bubble tea he sent Luhan to get for him.

Sehun narrowed his eyes as he approached the drink. He noticed a small note attached to it, so he read it.

I put a magic potion inside this Bubble Tea, it can bring you happiness~

He scoffed lightly. “Magic potion? Is he trying to poison me? Tch. So this is what I get for saving him.”

But he drinks the bubble tea nonetheless.

Luhan didn’t know how long he’d been running, but he couldn’t stop. He was scared Sehun might see him, so after writing down the note, he made a run for it. He didn’t want to face an angry Sehun, not after he saw how he was like when he was mad.

Luhan was completely lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice someone walking towards him with their gaze on the floor. By the time Luhan realized he was going to slam into this person, it was too late.

“Uhh, why does this always happen to me?” Luhan murmured, reaching out for his glasses.

“Oh my God I am so sorry I didn’t see you!” the other person exclaimed.

Luhan looked up at him and blinked, realizing he bumped into one of Sehun’s friends. The one he met that day he broke Sehun’s bike. The person was, for some reason, beaming at him. He couldn’t fathom why someone looked so happy after falling on the ground.

Putting his glasses back on, Luhan started to apologize. “No no, it was my fault. I was running too fast and I wasn’t watching where I was going and-”

“Hey hey, no worries.” The tan male grinned. “Guess we both made a mistake and ended up falling for each other - I mean onto each other - I mean... nevermind.”

Luhan blushed slightly at his choice of words. He cleared his throat. “Are you hurt anywhere?”

“Nope!” the other male exclaimed enthusiastically. “How about you?”

“Well my ’s a bit sore but I think I’ll live.” Luhan said with a small pout. He heaved himself off the ground just as the other male did.

“Do you want me to you to the clinic?” Jongin – Luhan finally remembered his name – offered.

“There’s no need... Jongin.”

Jongin grinned widely once again. “Hey! You remember my name!”

Luhan blushed again. “Uh, yeah.”

They stood there awkwardly for a minute before Luhan bid him farewell. “Um, I’ll be going now. Good bye.”

“Okay. See you around, Luhan!”

Before Luhan could ask him how he knew his name, Jongin had already turned a corner. If Luhan thought Sehun was strange, his friends were definitely worse.

Sehun was still pretty pissed about the whole situation with Krystal, but he had to admit he felt slightly calmer. After his encounter with her he decided to head home to calm his mind. The bubble tea Luhan got for him certainly helped. Sehun was a big fan of it for a reason. Thinking about bubble tea made his thoughts drift towards Luhan. The boy behind the dark rimmed glasses. No really knew him too well, except for that loud friend of his. All Sehun knew about him was that he often let people take advantage of him – something that annoyed Sehun to no end. As he was thinking of Luhan, he remembered that he never got the chance to thank him for the bubble tea. So he decided to text him.

To: Deer Boy

Thank you for the bubble tea.

Reading his message, Sehun wrinkled his nose in disgust. This was definitely not his style. So he deleted the message and replaced it with another one.

To: Deer Boy

What did you put in my bubble tea? I’m starting to feel strange.

Sehun waited patiently for Luhan’s reply.

From: Deer Boy

It’s a secret~ It’s good though, right?

Sehun smirked as he typed his reply.

To: Deer Boy

It tasted horrible. Buy from another shop next time.

It was a complete lie, but Sehun found it fun teasing Luhan.

Sehun couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Yep, he was definitely starting to go insane.

it's been a while, hasn't it? how are you guys doing? i hope you're still doing alright, especially after EXO's comeback :)) i don't know about you guys but i am definitely loving the album! hehe. what's your favorite song so far? :)

btw, for Krystal's fans, just because i brought her into this story as a potential rival of Luhan doens't mean i don't like her. Krystal is awesome :)
