Perhaps more than one of the two fighting for their love, neither choosing to fight is the hardest of all. Because then, even love has no choice but to give up on both of you.

“Let’s break up.”

Jungkook blinks. He didn’t hear it right, did he?

“Jungkook, let’s break up,” Jimin repeats, making sure he is saying each word correctly.

He stares at Jimin. He didn’t just mention the word ‘break up,’ did he?

“What are you saying? Are you having a difficult time with your studies?” Jungkook awkwardly laughs. He places both hands on Jimin’s arms and looks assuring at him, “It’s going to be okay. You shouldn’t worry.”

Jimin becomes angry. “It’s because of you that I can’t study!”

Jungkook looks at his eyes – on the verge of his own anger. He looks at his eyes – on the verge of losing it as well. He looks at those eyes he loves – on the verge of breaking but not. He takes a deep breath and eases his gaze on those eyes that he loves. He walks closer until he closes the distance between them.

He wraps his arms around Jimin and hugs him tightly.

He loves this man not because he is perfect. He loves this man because he is imperfectly perfect for him. He loves this man because he loves him and he wish he can explain it in words but in truth, he can’t. He loves this man because he can’t not love him and he is scared but he is also glad. Because he can’t think of any other way besides loving this man.

Jimin collapses in Jungkook’s arm.

He sobs in an ugly manner but he doesn’t push away. He realizes he can’t.

“It’s okay,” Jungkook caresses his hair and softly whispers. He hushes him and doesn’t let go. “It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay.”
