Hannah has been living the life as a teen idol in South Korea. With no actual connections to the country or culture, Hannah is actually from Sweden; growing up in a small city for almost 16 years, she along with four friends of the same age came to Korea for an audition as a band for SM Entertainment. In 2008, these five girls won a contract with one of the biggest record labels in South Korea and soon enough they made their debut as 5 Pieces – a loved and hated girl-group with Swedish members that somehow have captured the heart of the world and become one of South Korea’s most successful and popular artists and icons, gaining more and more attention worldwide.

While living this amazing life with top selling albums and hit songs, Hannah is no longer a teenager and she is growing along with her group, leaving Hannah with so much more on her mind than just the passion to sing on the stage and living the dream.

5 Pieces has been expanding worldwide, more as outspoken icons than your typical girl-group. Having the image of being charismatic and strong as young women, living far away from home and succeeding in every challenge they face, the girl-group have gained worldwide attention for a certain song in particular – [Daze] – for its strong lyrics and fun yet difficult choreography, catchy melody and with 5 Pieces bringing the stage presence that surely have made both women and men get shaky legs. One song did a lot, yet the variety of 5 Pieces’ charm has barely even been peeked at. The world seemed shocked yet impressed when the music video for a new Korean song called [Girls Power] came out just recently, revealing a burlesque feeling where 5 Pieces showed a y vibe dancing on chairs and incredible vocals following the y choreography. The world that saw five teenage girls embracing the world as young girls wanting to challenge society had stepped up the stairs of impressing everyone with a theme, concept, style and more that no one expected. Feminism. That’s the word used to describe [Girls Power] around the world, and to have that word unwritten yet thrown in your face with this song’s lyrics and music video has made the world go a step crazier than before.

And still, 5 Pieces have their fourth album to be released. Their summer hasn’t even started, but with the new concept and album, the world is eyeing them as young women – strong and confident, individual women with a common voice.

5 Pieces is busy preparing for their album comeback, with just a few days left that pass quickly they need to be ready to face their fans with this new challenging concept of theirs. But it won’t be the first time facing the fans with this concept; they had their comeback showcase just recently and fans were showing their endless of support to the new album of 5 Pieces. With the successful showcase that came to an end, 5 Pieces could not have been happier. To their surprise, and to Hannah’s fear, after the showcase she got face-to-face with her mother who had come all the way to Korea and watched the showcase. Hannah had run away from her, not daring to face the mother who raised her, but for the past six years has cursed and threatened her to come back to Sweden. There is no person Hannah both loves and hates as her own mother, the woman she looks up to.

Will her mother ruin this moment for 5 Pieces by filling Hannah with emotions and thoughts she do not wish to have? Their promotions, desired worldwide, will 5 Pieces pull through the need people ask of for [Girls Power]?

With five members there are a lot of things happening, there is never a quiet moment. A new challenge, a different destiny.
