Choi Sulli as Goo Jae Hee- 23 year old woman who just got back at college after a few years working as a e. She wanted to begin living again, even when her dark past still haunts her. This dark past made her cold and indifferent to love. She promised herself that she would not fall in love again, but when Tae Joon enters her life, would this promise be broken? Would she be able to break free from the past? Or would this past catch up with her?
Choi Minho as Kang Tae Joon-a 25 year old man, an intern in the Genie University Hospital. He is the ideal man of every woman—humorous, intelligent and warm to people. He will fall in love with Jae Hee at first sight. A secret will destroy him as the story progresses, and he will have to choose between love and loyalty.
Jung Krystal as Lee Bo Na-23 year old career woman. She is goal-oriented and would do anything to get her way. She masks her innocence with coldness and seriousness; but when she is with friends, she can be funny and bubbly. She is the only friend of Jae Hee, and is the only one aware of Jaehee’s past. Tae Joon is also her ‘oppa’—her cheos sarangni—and for ten years, she has been doing everything to get his affection. What would she do if she discovers that Tae Joon has already someone else?
Kang Chanyoung as Kim Chan Young-Jaehee’s neighbor who is in love with Jaehee. He knew almost everything about Jaehee—her past job, her attitude—and still, he loves her. He is kind and caring, and persistent. He was clear with his intentions towards Jaehee, and he would do his best to be her man.
This story will involve many points of view (POV).

Jae Hee’s P.O.V.
It’s raining again.
The drops are hitting my window, and I watch as they roll down, leaving traces of water in their way. I follow a trail until the drop is completely gone. Another drop hit the window, erasing the trail the other drop has made.
I once wished to disappear like the drop, with my traces erased completely. But I am still alive—my heart’s still beating, my mind still working—and I finally decided… that I should live it.
This is also told to me by my friend, Bona: “You can’t be like this forever. You can’t stay where you are. This is a second chance for you, Jaehee.”
I never believed in second chances, given the nightmares I have been through in my twenty three years of existence—I had hell for a home, and another hell for work.
When I was seventeen I ran away from home. I didn’t know where to go and wandered the street of Geongpyung until an ahjumma spotted me. She told me she would help me and would provide for me if I were to be obedient. What could a person who hasn’t eaten for three days do? I obediently followed her… until she reached a building reeking of women’s perfume combined with sweats of men. Should I go in? She nodded. You won’t hurt me? She promised.
That day, my second nightmare began in a brothel.
