Han Miyeon was one out of the 1437 pureblood vampires that have ever existed in the world.
Being in one of the most respected categories amongst the vampiric society & also being the only daughter of the longest living family of purebloods, Miyeon was highly-protected and pampered; and that caused her to be vulnerable. Extra vulnerable.

A little more about vampires, so that all of you wouldn't get confused and lost.
As in traditional folklore, they are sensitive to the sun and are active during the night; however, in reality, sunlight only hurts their eyes and does not actually cause them any physical damage. When killed, vampires will turn into sand. However Purebloods are an exception, as when they die, they instead shatter into shards of glass. The most effective way to kill any vampire is to cut off their head or burn them till they turn to ashes. Vampires also have a blood-lust that can only be quenched by the blood of their beloved.
Purebloods; The level A vampires. The heritage of these vampires haven't been diluted by human blood. They are the strongest type of vampires and have the most significant powers, and can destroy any lower vampire with ease. However, despite the fact Purebloods are very powerful, they only make up only a very small portion of the vampire population. The vampire society holds Purebloods in extremely high regard, to the point where it is taboo to kill or even harm a Pureblood vampire. As a result, they are treated like royalty. The powers a Pureblood vampire are dangerous to both their fellow vampires and humans.
Nobles; Also known as level B vampires, they are elite vampires with specialized abilities beyond normal vampires. These are also very powerful vampires, but not as powerful as Purebloods, due to having a small amount of human blood in their ancestry. They have super strength and speed, as well as specialized powers. When a noble is killed, they turn to dust like all other vampires, excluding Purebloods. These vampires are still able to be compelled by Purebloods, but enjoy a much more independent lifestyle in general. The Vampire Council is usually made up from their ranks.
Purebloods contain two powers/abilities, while Nobles only contain one. Only special purebloods get three powers.

Han Miyeon
Pureblood Vampire
18 in human age, 1859 in vampire age.
Powers: Miyeon's gift is a mental shield. Miyeon's shield is so strong that it's been working without her knowing, most likely, since birth. It protects her from "gifts" that affect the mind. Neither L.Joe nor Chunji read her mind and Daehyun can't shock her. Through practice, Miyeon learned that she could expand her shield in order to protect others. She can also project an illusion of being in extremely intense physical pain into others minds, thus incapacitating them. The pain that Miyeon inflicts is described as being like "burning" inside of the victim. Her power only allows him to affect three victim at a time; four if he really focuses. Since she's a special one, she has one last power. She is able to project what she wants to say into the minds of those she wants it directed to.
Jung Daehyun
Pureblood Vampire
20 in human age, 2094 in vampire age.
Powers: Daehyun can create a mist or fog which apon contact with someone paralyzes them and cuts off all, or some of their senses as he desires. He can also cover his body with an electrical current. Upon physical contact while his gift is in use, depending on the power he puts into it, the person can feel as little as static shock or great enough to cause their knees to buckle and have them on their backs.
Lee Byunghun / L.Joe
Pureblood Vampire

Powers: L.Joe's ability allows him to physically manipulate the four elements of nature with his will: fire, water, air, and earth. His power is channeled through his mind and hands. He can also see every thought someone has ever had upon physical contact with them. The longer the contact, the more he is able to see others' thoughts. He is the older brother of Miyeon.
Lee Chanhee / Chunji
Pureblood Vampire
20 in human years, 2086 in vampire years.
Powers: Chunji can strengthen or break emotional bonds and relationships. Though he can break the bond between allegiances, he cannot break those as strong as family or true love. His gift also allows him to hear/see the thoughts of other people, whether vampire or humans. Miyeon's love.

Power: Yongguk's power is to become mentally invisible to his pursuers. He can also use it to hide someone standing directly behind him. This power is very limited as it can be seen past by someone with a strong ability of focus.

Power: Youngjae causes anyone who approaches him in a way of aggression to become distracted and lose thought of what they're doing, causing them to wander off away from him and forgetting why they were trying to attack him in the first place.

Powers: Himchan can sense the type and strength of supernatural gifts that certain humans or vampires have both before and after his or her vampiric transformation. Himchan can also project a vision into others' minds. The vision can seem so real to the person impacted by them can easily forget that it's not real, extremely quickly. This power is most useful in clouding her target's vision..
