It's a Headache.

 

Few times in her life had she been so nervous. There wasn’t even a logic reason for this feeling: she was totally prepared for what was coming. She spoke Spanish, English, Italian, German and Korean fluently. She studied in a good university in the States. She had made herself taking advantage of the opportunities she had deserved thanks to her own talent. Nobody had just given herself anything, because everything in life requires certain amount of sacrifice and tears. And she surely didn’t need to be reassuring those truths to herself every damn day, did she?

 

Until the moment, everything had worked out perfectly, and it would continue in that way.

 

“Mr. Yoon is waiting for you” the security guard said, opening the door for her.

 

She looked up with a small, almost shy smile.

 

“Welcome, Mss Royce” the old man greeted her with a kind smile “It’s a pleasure for me to finally meet you in person”

 

“Sir, the pleasure is mine. I couldn’t wait for the day I would step into Korea. I was excited about getting to know more about the foundation and your hospital, Mr. Yoon”

 

“I think that I should show you all the medical facilities of our new hospital”

 

“Sounds perfect to me” Maya answered with a big smile in her face.

 

Yoon Seok Young  was a nice gentleman, and they had barely shared some words before she came to that conclusion. All that stupid nervousness she had felt before disappeared. But then, the door opened suddenly, just when she was about the open it herself, and she was in front of a couple of sad eyes. The saddest eyes she had ever seen, and it reminded her of all the sadness and injustice in the world.

To Maya, the Korean guys weren’t something exotic anymore. She had gotten used to their features before. They, on the other hand, glared at her for a longer time. This man wasn’t the exception.

 

But maybe yes, there was a difference. He seemed to be curious about who she was, not where did she come from. Maya had always been proud of the way she could read other people’s face.

 

Of course Ji Hoo was surprised, not to say mesmerized, by the woman’s appearance - Her olive skin tone, her bright, straight, dark hair and her eyes which were a mix between green and honey, those eyes seemed to see everything - an exotic beauty. What was doing that woman in his grandpa’s office?

 

Yoon Seok Young waited for them to stop staring at each other, so that he could present them properly.

 

“Miss Maya, this is my only grandson and heir, Yoon Ji Hoo” he told her, and then he spoke to his grandson “Ji Hoo, this is Miss Maya, expert in marketing, besides Doctor in Pediatrics and…”

 

“That’s all, Mr. Yoon. I think you’re making me greater than I really am”

 

“Oh, I remember now. You’re also an artist. You paint, if my memory works well”

 

“Well, I just like to paint.” She accepted, but she quickly changed the subject “You said you would show me the hospital”

 

“I forgot I have some issues to solve. Since Ji Hoo is here, he will make you company. When you finish you can come back and we will discuss some final details.”

 

Maya couldn’t be more surprised, but she didn’t find any problem in Mr. Yoon’s new plan. Yi Hoo, on the other side, knew his grandpa better. He understood this was because of Jan Di, and he wasn’t wrong. Mr. Yoon came up with his brilliant idea in the moment his grandson got into the office. For it was a misfortune that Jan Di was marrying Joon Pyo instead of Ji Hoo, there were few women like her; but he liked Maya, there was something in her... she was one of those rare special women.

"It's amazing. Your grandfather is truly an admirable man. I think that with the right hook and a good presentation, we will get sponsors all around the world for the Foundation and the hospital" Maya said, just to make him say something.

 

She didn't like the red haired man anymore. He kept with that sad look, and he didn't even try to be nice. He didn't even replied to her remarks.

Meanwhile, Ji Hoo was only thinking about going to his grandfather and make clear some points.

 

"You know what? You can leave and do what you need to do, I will do this tour later and if I have questions, there is always people here whom I can ask"

 

"What are you saying?"

 

"It's obvious you don't want to be here, and I am not planning to force you to stay. I promise Mr. Yoon will not know, if that's what worries you"

 

"Tempting offer, but that's not right.  I'm sorry if you misunderstood me, it's not your fault. Let's just keep walking, ok?"

 

She nodded, and they continued their way in a quite more comfortable silence.

"You should have told me! Didn't I ask you to look after her, Woo Bin?"

 

Yi Jeong yelled at his friend while they secretly followed Ga Eul.

 

"I didn't have idea that... what is his name?"

 

"Kim Hoon"

 

"The might have met recently...never mind. Ga Eul seems to be so bad in love that I don't know why are you so mad"

 

"Shut up, they're just there"

 

"Why don't you just tell her that you love her? It's much easier. Didn't you learn anything from our friends?

 

Good point. However, that Kim Hoon was his same age, though he would not ever compare to an F4, maybe a plain girl like Ga Eul wouldn't see that. She had dated idiots before.

 

They followed Ga Eul and the idiot all day. They joked around and laughed. Everytime Ga Eul smiled at that man, Yi Jeong's desire to kill and bury him in a remote place grew stronger.

 

"I think that's all" Ga Eul said "It'll be a perfect welcome party" she sat on the stairs and took a deep breath. "I'm exhausted"

 

"I don't know how to thank you, Ga Eul. You're an amazing girl"

 

She smiled softly.

 

"You don't need to thank me, we're friends"

 

"About that..." he took a step forward, and then he sat next to her "Ga Eul, I need to tell you... " he grabbed her hand. Ga Eul looked at their intertwined hands and started feeling nervous.

 

"What happens, Kim Hoon?"

 

"About being friends, you and I, maybe that's not enough, maybe..."

 

"That's definitely enough!"

 

Ga Eul stood up, all nervous now.

 

"Yi Jeong sunbae! Were you spying on me?!"

 

"We were just passing by" he lied easily, but she didn't believe him "How can you allow this.... person, to touch you?"

 

"He is just..."

 

"Ga Eul, is this your boyfriend?"

 

"No"

 

"YES"

 

Woo Bin and Ga Eul couldn't believe the Casanova had just said that. But Yi Jeong grabbed Ga Eul's hand and took her to a complete different path.

 

"Well, I guess it's only me now" he shrugged and then put his eyes on the blond woman who was glaring at him meters away.

Joon Pyo was, for the first time, the first one arriving to the F4’s lounge. None of friends were in sight.  

“What the hell..”

“Do you have something to tell me, Sunbae?”

 

“Yes. I don’t want to see you close to that man ever again. He does not see you as a friend”

 

“And what does it have to bother you?”

 

Deep inside, she enjoyed seeing him like that. He was jealous. So Yi Jeong was jealous because of her!

 

“Just don’t come crying again when he becomes an idiot”

 

“Just as you do so many times, Sunbae? I don’t think Kim Hoon will act such stupidly”

 

He was angrier every second. He didn’t even have a word to say, he was just furious. He only words that made sense didn't come out from his mouth.

 

“Tell me, why don’t you want me to date other guys? Why did you tell him you’re my boyfriend?

 

She looked up at him with a challenging expression. She could have denied it when Kim Hoon was still there, but she didn’t. So he felt confident again and smirked, getting closer to her.

 

“Because I will be. From now on” His fingers wandered across her cheeks and then her neck. “Ga Eul-ah, do you want to be only my girl?

“I’m sorry, something came up” Woo Bin apologized, getting into the room and sitting in the couch.

 

“I guess what could have been… Wasn’t Yi Jeong with you?”

 

“You said it: he was. But he is with Ga Eul now; he must be making it up with her after the jealousy demonstration he made in front of her”

 

Joon Pyo didn’t quite believe it. Then he started laughing.

 

Yi Jeong came in, he saw the guys laughing without understanding the reason.

 

“Yi Jeong making a jealousy scene?” Joon Pyo asked “I didn’t think I would live to see this day”

 

“I have all the rights to react like that”

 

“Actually you don’t” Woo Bin said.

 

“You’re not even a couple” Joon Pyo added.

 

“I already solved that little detail”

 

His friends looked at each other in silence for seconds, processing his words.

 

“You… and Ga Eul?”

 

“I don’t think nothing more unexpected can happen”

 

“Really? Do you think so?” Ji Hoo asked, making his appearance. He threw his jacquet to one side and sat down. “Well, look at this”

 

“Hello” a young woman said, coming into the sacred lounge of the F4.

 

She was beautiful. Slim, with a bright hair, a pair of big eyes which were a mix of green and honey. Her smile irradiated joy and energy, the same as her eyes. The same as her voice.

 

“So this is the F4’s headquarters” She examined all of them “I am Maya, nice to meet you”

 

A woman out of all their parameters. They all looked at Ji Hoo suspiciously.

 

Ji Hoo closed his eyes, knowing that his friends were filling their minds with unsaid questions. How could he tell them that his grandpa had gotten crazy? That Maya’s apartment wouldn’t be ready for two weeks more and she would stay with them? How would he explain that Maya did not know anyone in Seoul and, as her position in the Foundation demanded, she needed contacts. Who would be better for that than the F4?

 

It was all just a farce well planned. But her grandpa’s plans were bound to the disaster again.

 

For the rest, the fact there was that Ji Hoo had taking a woman to the F4 lounge for the first time in history.
