charabanc tracks
charabanc tracks || a writing contest [closed]Aaaand after much delay (no excuses, we procrastinated), we’re here with our final announcement for the second, and also the last station we have for charabanc tracks.
작은행동. (Little actions.) by stupidfella (quirky username by the way) was an interesting take on a platonic relationship, and a rather light-hearted slice-of-life fiction that has, embedded in it, promises of a much fuller development of the characters and their thoughts.
However, the criterion for Station 2: The Nameless was “Make us feel something strong for an unnamed character”.
Though we caught glimpses of a few nameless characters in Little actions, most notably the handicapped man, it seemed like a touch-and-go and what little we saw of them was, regrettably, not enough to make us feel something substantial for these characters :( Perhaps the criterion was interpreted in a different manner than we’d intended, and if so we apologise for not having been clearer in that!
Since the criterion wasn’t fulfilled, we won’t be rewarding this passenger with the prize promised in our attempt at bribery (that was in the foreword).
That being said, we do recognise the effort you’ve put in, and to also applaud you for being the last passenger standing in our journey, we’ll still be giving you a little token (half the slated prize, not a lot but something of a ‘thank you’) so please send a PM to forestwhisperz to claim that!
As we conclude our journey here with Station 2: The Nameless, we’d like to thank each and every one of you –whether you’ve been a passenger, a friend of a passenger, or simply someone taking note of our travels– for having come all the way with charabanc tracks. We’ve probably been the laziest charabanc conductors around, but we’ve learnt something from this journey and we hope you’ve taken away something of your own as well (:
Thank you once again and have a wonderful year ahead!
Your bumbling and not-so-responsible conductors,
forestwhisperz & inphnite
