On April 2, 2004, Jinhye debuted with Pulling Through, a song that describes her struggle to debut.

Originally, Jinhye wanted to be a soccer player, but on her birthday, March 24, in the year 1998, new faces to the korean music world emerged.

The group's name: Shinhwa.

With a new dream, Jinhye moved from her home in Pennsylvania to Seoul, South Korea.

Being half Korean, half Japanese-American, Jinhye knew how to speak English, Japanese, and Korean.

 After being in the music industry for ten years, Lee Chae Mi, or Jinhye, is considered to be one of the most respectable seniors.

Jinhye has composed (with some help) most of her songs, and songs for others.

She also writes all of her lyrics.
