first day at my new school ended with geography, which was my worst subject then, but became my favorite for a special reason.

 

Usually I go to school by bus, but my parents had to come take me home because the school didnt provide school bus on the first two days of school. 

 

"Hey Amber, how was your first day?" My mom asked me after i got on my car

 

"Good, I like it here" I put down my bag and told her 

 

"We're gonna have dinner at our friend's house near here, so dont fall asleep" my dad noted, because of the distance i have to travel to school everyday i usually sleep on the car.

 

"Alright dad, but which friend? do i not know this person?"

 

"yeah, i dont think you've met him before. His daughter goes to your school too, i think even in your grade" My mom answered since my dad didnt really like talking while driving, it increases the chances of getting in a car accident, he always say.

 

"Oh, thats great" I told her, while putting my headphones on. Because honestly, i didnt care.

"come in!" my dad's friend uncle Chris said to us after he opened the door.

 

"Long time no see, chris!" My dad shook uncle chris' hand and introduced me to him "This is my daughter Amber, I dont think you've met her before"

 

"Nice to meet you Amber, how was your day?" Uncle chris said to me

 

"Good, thank you" I replied, trying to keep my polite image 

 

"My wife is in the kitchen, Oh, and I nearly forgot, let me introduce you to my daughter soojung" He turned back to me after walking to the living room

 

"soojung?" I was a little confused, is it just someone who shares the same name?

 

"oh, she goes by krystal in school, soojung is her korean name"he explained

 

wait. i was shocked. "krystal?" 

 

"Yeah, do you know her?" He told me after knocking on a door next to the living room

 

"What, dad...." Krystal opened up a tiny gap from her room and peaked out, she saw me after a few seconds and called my name "Oh, hi amber!"

 

".....Hi Krys" I said awkwardly after she quickly closed her door again 

 

"Hey amber, you mind waiting in the living room for a while? We're gonna go choose a bottle of wine" My dad asked after a minute or so 

 

"sure.."

 

 

"soojung..... oh, sorry, she doesnt like to show up with pyjamas, shes probably changing" A lady, who I guessed was krystal's mother, walked out of the kitchen and told me 

 

"oh, thats okay" 

 

"you're Keith's daughter, amber, right?" krystal's mother asked after struggling to remember my name a little

 

"Yes I am, and you must be Mrs.Jung?"

 

"Thats me! nice to meet you, amber" she said before turning back to the kitchen
