“And they will feed from the other human by their blood!” A boy was telling his friends

“Whoooaaah!!!!!” the other kids yelled hysterically

“My Mama said, they will go out at night and looking for their prey” the boy continued, made the other kids cringing again

“But vampires don’t exist in the real world. They are just a tale” Yongie said casually. The other boy looked at him

“Who said that? They might be real! Even more, they might be living around us, living undercover as humans” the boy insisted

“That’s nonsense” Yongie said

“Yah! Kwon Yongjae! They are real! Look, Halloween is coming. My Mama said, they will go out at Halloween, when people wouldn’t recognize them!” the boy still insisted but Yongie didn’t really care.

“Oppa is home!!!” Rinnie jumped happily when she saw her Oppa already came back from school

“Annyeong, Rinnie-ah…” Yongie smiled and walked to his little sister, gave her a warm hug

“Annyeong, Oppa… welcome home! Here” Rinnie smiled widely, released herself from her Oppa and passed him a glass of juice

“Aigoo…, thank you” Yongie took the glass and drank it. “Why so quiet? Where’s Mommy?” Yongie asked

“Mommy is preparing our lunch” Rinnie answered with eyes on the TV screen

“Mommy doesn’t go to the studio?” Yongie asked again and Rinnie just shook her head. Then Yongie sat beside Rinnie

“Get change first, Yongie-ah….” Chaerin walked to the living room and pinched her son’s cheek playfully, made Rinnie giggled

“Aaaw… ok, Mom” Yongie pouted and rubbed his cheek. Then he stood up and about to go to his room when he realized something on his Mom

“Mom?”Yongie called, stared deeply on his mom

“Ya?” Chaerin turned her face to Yongie

“Are you ok?”Yongie asked.

“Yes, why?”  Chaerin asked back,

“Ani… you just looked a bit pale, Mom…” Yongie answered.

“It’s because Mommy kinda lost lots of blood…” Chaerin said absentmindedly while walked back to the kitchen. She was just said it spontaneously actually, but Yongie took it seriously.

“What? Lost blood? What do you mean, Mom? Did you get hurt?” Yongie shouted from living room, somehow his mind couldn’t get rid of those vampires’ things

“Oh, No… Mommy is ok, just forget it” Chaerin realized that her son wouldn’t understand about her womanly business and just smiled, arranged the meal on the table. “Now wash up and then get your lunch, baby” Chaerin told Yongie

Yongie was still in his own thought, figuring out his Mom’s words.

Lost lots of blood…..

But if his mom didn’t get hurt, how come she lost lots of blood?

That question kept ringing on Yongie’s head

“Yongie….” Chaerin called her son again

“Oh…, neh, Mom…” Yongie stood up and ran to his room. But right before he entered the room, he stooped suddenly

“Mom, where’s Dad?” Yongie asked. He rarely met his dad these days

“Daddy is working for sure…., why?” Chaerin sensed there was something strange on Yongie

“Uhm…, nothing, Mom” Yongie answered and closed the door

“Rinnie-ah…” Yongie called his sister who was busy with her piano

“Yes, Oppa” the 4 years old girl answered cutely

“Do you think that Mom and Dad are a bit strange lately?” Yongie asked seriously. Rinnie stopped playing the piano and turned her attention to her Oppa

“Strange?” Rinnie asked back

“Mommy looked so pale view days ago and Daddy…., he’s kinda rarely with us these days, rite?”

“Mommy said daddy is working on the new album” Rinnie said

“But…, I don’t know…, I sense something strange on Mom and dad…” Yongie mumbled. Rinnie, on the other hand, just looked at her Oppa seriously, didn’t understand what he meant

Suddenly the kids heard the door being opened

“Daddy!!” Rinnie jumped from her seat and ran to her Daddy, while Yongie… he looked at his daddy, studied him

“Hi, Princess…” Jiyong smiled and held Rinnie in his arms, kissed her chubby cheek while the girl giggled happily

‘Why does daddy wear those outfits? All black! Black long jeans, black jacket, black shades, and black hat! Even black mask that still hanging in his neck?’ Yongie questioned in his head

Jiyong realized the strange way his son eyed him.

“What’s wrong little man? Don’t you miss Daddy too?” Jiyong squinter his eyes

“Ahh.., o-of course I miss you, Daddy…” Yongie snapped and ran to Jiyong too, hug him

“Aigoo… I miss my babies so much” Jiyong hugged his kids. “Where’s Mommy?” He asked

“Mommy…, she said she want to take a bath…, about an hour ago” Yongie answered

“Huh? Aah…, then, Daddy will see Mommy first, ok?” Jiyong said to the kids and walked to his bedroom

“Rinni-ah…”

“Yes?” Rinnie turned her face to Yongie

“Daddy is really strange!” Yongie whispered to Rinnie

“What do you mean, Oppa…. I don’t understand” Rinnie sighed

“Don’t you notice, Daddy never go out at day” Yongie whispered again

“Huh?”

“And when he go out, he always wears those black shades, mask and hat” Yongie added

“Daddy wears it to avoid the press or fans, he told us already” Rinnie said

“But.., Mommy didn’t do it all the time like daddy. Mommy is a famous artist too…” Yongie argue. Rinnie pursed her lips, seemed like thinking

“Yes…, I think you rite, Oppa. But, what’s wrong with that?” She asked. Yongie looked hesitate but then he decided to tell his sister

“Promise Oppa that you won’t tell anyone” Yongie pulled Rinnie to the sofa

“I promise, Oppa…” Rinnie said

“Rinnie-ah….”

“Yes?”

“I think….” Yongie seemed hesitant

“Tell me, Oppa…..” Rinnie nag

“Hmm, I think…, Daddy is a vampire” He whispered. Rinnie’s cat eyes get widen

“Vampire?The one that drink blood like on the movies?” Rinnie asked

“Psshhhhh….” Yongie stick his finger on Rinnie’s lips. “We have to observe more….” He whispered

“Ok, Oppa….” Rinnie nodded her head. Truthfully, she didn’t really understand what happened, but Yongie was her role mode. She would believe anything her Oppa told her.

“Let’s go” Yongie sneaked

“Where?”

“Observing”

And the two sneaked to their parent’s door. Yongie pulled the door knob carefully, tried to take a peek. And Little Rinnie, she just copied her brother by took a peek onto the parents room

“Oppa….”

They heard their mother moaned

“Sshhh…, Oppa misses you, Chae… Don’t you feel it?”

Then the kids heard their dad’s voice kinda different… almost like…., growl?

“Oppa, why does Dad sound like that?” Rinnie whispered, frightened by her Daddy’s deep voice.

“I-I don’t know, Rinnie-ah…..” Yongie whispered back. The kids exchanged stares then took a peek again. This time, they saw their Mom sat on the make-up table while their Dad hovered over her, bent to her

“Op-pa…, aah…” the kids shivered more. They saw their dad pressed his face on their mom’s neck. But it was too dark for them to see it clearly. But they tried to keep watching

“I miss you so bad Hunchae……” Jiyong hummed on Chae’s neck

“Oppa.., not now…. The kids are still awake” Chaerin said, panted heavily, tried to keep her conscience
