3 YEARS LATER

 

SOMEONE'S POV

 

Today is the 7th birthday of Darin, I am watching her from above. I can see that she's happy eventhough a tragedy happens to our family. It's been three years since it happened but I can still see the hurt and sadness in their faces. If youre going to ask me if I'm okay? I guess so, somewhat I felt at peace where am I today.

 

 

 

As the party is about to starts, Darin's friends and classmates arrived at the Lee Residence, Seungri together with Haeun and Minji are greeting their guests as they enter the house. Bom and Seunghyun are with Darin, they are waiting in the garden at the back of the house

 

"I bet Darin can't wait to open her presents eh?" Haeun said to the two

 

"I can tell that! She keeps on shaking the gifts on the table.." Seungri laughs while Haeun winks at Minji

 

"She's like her mother. I remember how Dara shakes the gift Chaerin always give to her like she's trying to guess what's inside.." Seungri said, smile from Minji's face suddenly disppear while Haeun sighs

 

"Hey cheer up guys! You don't want Darin to be sad on her birthday right?" Seungri told the two

 

"It's just that--" Haeun was cut off by Sunhee

 

"Guys the party is about to start, Darin's waiting for us.." she said, they all look at her and smiles. They all went to the garden and they saw the game starts. They are all laughing and cheering for the kids when Mrs.Lee an Seoyeon called Seungri and Sunhee

 

"Hey mom.." Seungri said, she and Seoyeon arrived from South Korea earlier today

 

"Why you didn't wake us up?" Mrs.Lee asked while looking at Darin

 

"We were about to but your grand daughter stops us.." Seungri answered

 

"Why?"

 

"She wants you both to rest for a while.." Sunhee answered, Mrs. Lee and Seoyeon smiles at each other and look at Darin

 

"She's a one tough kid. We are al scared to tell her what happened to her mothers that day. I thought we're going to lose Darin too.." Mrs. Lee said as she remembers the day when a big change happened to their family

 

"Let's not think about that anymore, the important is, Darin understands everything we said to her and little by little accept the truth about her parents.." Seoyeon added. Sunhee looks at the picture of Dara and Chaerin resting on the shelf hanging on the wall. It's the picture they took after they graduated from Highschool, she walks closer to the shelf and closes her eyes

 

"I am sorry for everything I did. If only I could turn back the hands of time, Dara, Chae. I will.." she said while tears falling down on her face

 

 

 

The party went well and they can see that Darin is happy but they also know that she's sad because her parents re not there. When the prty ended she and the rest of the family together with Hae-won and Minji are inside the house in the living area and watching Darin opening up her presents

 

"Yipee! Another pony!" she said and hugs the stuff toy, they all laugh at her because she loves pony and she asked a real one from her Uncle and Auntie

 

"I don't think we need to buy you a real one sweetheart, you already have hmm 4 ponies.." Seungri said to her

 

"But Uncle they are not real! I want  real one, please.." she begs, Sunhee shook her head and look at Seungri

 

"Okay but you need to promise us that you will study hard and get good grades at school.."

 

"I promise!" they all smile at her when they saw her sit on the couch and took the picture of her mommies

 

"I miss them so much.." Darin said in a sad voice, Haeun sits beside her niece and place her arm on Darin's shoulder

 

"They misses their little princess too. Always bear in your mind that they love you so much okay?" she said

 

"I know that Auntie, i just wish they are here. I wish I can hug and tell them that I need both of them in my life.." No one said  word, all of the people who are hurting the most is Darin, it's her seventh birthday but she's celebrating it without her mothers

 

"Come here.." Mrs. Lee said, Darin walks towards her grandmother and sits on her lap, she place her hand on Darin's chin and lift it up gently

 

"Someday you will see them again. You'll be able to tell them that how much you love them. Don't be sad little one.." she said, Darin smiles at her as tears escape from her beautiful face, Mrs. Lee wipes it off and said

 

"Now let's clean this up and have some cake! I think they are all delicious!"

 

 

 

 

 

DARIN'S POV

 

After I said goodnight to everyone, I told my Aunt Sunhee not to tuck me in and that I'll see her tomorrow, the truth is, I want to be alone for a while and think. I open my window and sits on side of it. I look at the stars, hoping to catch a glimpse of a shooting star and make a last wish before my birthday is over but there's none

 

'I still want to thank you for giving me another year to live and for giving me a family like them..' I whispered while looking at the sky

 

'But is it impossible to ask that I want to see my parents?' i added, I know what I ask is impossible but for a kid like me anything is possible, I waited for a while but i'm starting to lose hope

 

'I guess this is not the right time huh?' I asked the one above, as I stare into the sky i saw a shooting star then I closes my eyes and wish

 

'I will wait for that day to come. I will always pray so that I can see them again..' I reach for my window and closes it, I was about to turn around when I heard my door opens, I smile and I knew they are here

 

"Mom? Mommy Cee?" I asked

 

"Happy birthday baby girl.." A voice answered me
