Donghae thought it was a nightmare.

The night had been going well, Jessica looked pretty and almost, almost ty but managed to look elegant at the last moment. Donghae was being the envy of every boy and the desire of every girl. It had been okay, they dance, laughed, flirted and he almost forgot that Hyukjae was going to perform in the dance until it was announced and he found himself on the first line, eager to hear his best friend's new song. Specially because it was for him.

Kyuhyun, Hyoyeon and Sungmin were already in their positions and when Hyukjae stepped in, the crowd went crazy because all of them loved his music and admired him. Donghae was also smiling widely and Hyukkie found his eyes for a moment before glancing at the crowd and smirking. The brunet blinked a little, he thought he saw sadness on his friend's eyes but maybe he saw wrong because he was being his perfect self right now.

"This a song I wrote for the person I like and... it says a lot of how I feel. So... for that person" he said and Donghae felt his cheeks heating before clapping with the others. Hyukjae took his guitar and breathed deeply before starting.

He is singing softly, and Donghae feels all warm when he hears the first lines, so cute and beautiful and his voice is so amazing. He's feelings incredibly happy and special until Hyukjae looks at him, and then he freezes. There's so much pain in that look that Donghae feels overhelmed for a moment and then knows that the song won't be a love song, but rather a break-up song. Break-up from what? Donghae didn't even know it.
