Hello! This is a story I've been planning to do ever since (with the insistence of Emie and Elaine who came up with the prompt). It's inspired by how we think that Taehyun and Mino knew each other from way way back when they were still students in Hanlim.

Prologue

Taehyun knew him, knew him. And it baffled him how Mino was acting like he didn't even have any clue who Nam Taehyun was. He was agitated because they had a past- a past that was better left unsaid and forgotten. But the way the older man extends his hand to Taehyun and dumbly smiles at him was enough to bring Taehyun's mouth to a scowl because Mino was being, Mino and Nam Taehyun hated that side of him so much.

"Please take care of me!" the tanned kid exclaimed, a little too enthusiastic for Taehyun's liking, as he gave a bow that was lower than necessary.

Seungyoon approaches Mino and gives him a light tap on the shoulders. "Welcome to the team. Seunghoon is working on a new choreography for this month's evaluations so we'll start practicing in a few. Do you have a background in dancing?"

Mino's face lits up and gives Seungyoon a hasty nod. "I took dance classes back when I was in Hanlim. I trained with this other group too and we worked on a lot of hip hop stuff so yeah." Mino explains with a bright smile as Seunghoon studies the boy's movements.

"Hanlim? Taehyun studied in Hanlim too right?" Jinwoo asks innocently, directing his gaze towards Taehyun who flinched at the mention of his name.

Seungyoon goes, "Ohhh...." with the sudden realization and follows, "Do you guys know each other?"

Taehyun doesn't know how to react to that, doesn't know where to start or if he's actually supposed to say anything. He shifts awkwardly on his seat, his thoughts battling it out on whether he should just say 'no' and get things over with or if he should tell the truth and--

"No, we don't know each other." Mino says firmly, a grin plastered to his face. Taehyun looks at the boy with that smile, that same smile from four years ago and thinks how he looks so ugly.
