Lee Jihyun is a normal student. He does not like to get attention. He is quiet and clumsy. Most people think he is serious but when he is with his friends and family, he is funny and witty but still clumsy. He often helps his father in their business so he knows some of his father’s associates

“Good job, Jihyun. Mr Kim was impressed with your presentation.” Mr Lee said to his son as he patted Qri’s shoulder. He was really proud of his son’s first company presentation.

“Thanks Appa.” Qri said. He was glad that he didn’t embarrass himself. He was really nervous that he thought he would make a mess.

“You did well, son.” Said Mr Kim. He came to congratulate Qri.

“Thank you, Mr Kim. I will do better.” Says Qri. Mr Kim is a really nice man.

“Take it easy, son. You might just outdo your father in no time.” Assured Mr Kim.

“Haha! What do you expect? He is my son.” Mr Lee exclaimed being proud of Qri.

The three talked for a while. Mr Kim found out that Qri goes to the same school as his daughter, Kim Taeyeon. Of course Qri knows Kim Taeyeon, who hasn’t heard of her? She is famous. Her voice simply captivates every ones heart. Her smile makes ones stomach filled with butterflies. Not a day will pass without any of her fans giving her gifts trying to win her heart over. But none has been successful in winning Kim Taeyeon’s heart. Everyone knows that fact even Qri who does not really pay attention to all these.

“How was your day, Appa?” Taeyeon asked as soon as she saw her father arrive.

“It was great.” Mr Kim said smiling.

“Yeobo, how was the meeting with Mr Lee?” Mrs Kim asked.

“Mr Lee’s son Jihyun made the presentation. That kid has great potential.” He answered his wife. He then turned to Taeyeon and continued, “He goes to the same school as yours, Tae. Lee Jihyun.”

Taeyeon shook her head saying that she does not know the guy. She thought Lee Jihyun might be a serious and boring guy.

 Qri was kneeling down and picking his books. He tripped on nothing but his clumsiness. Qri was thankful that there weren’t anyone around to see him tripped while walking on a flat surface. When he stood up, he saw a girl was running towards his direction.

Taeyeon was talking with Soyeon and Sunny when they were interrupted by one of her fans. They were making plans for SST when another guy asking Taeyeon out. Sunny and Soyeon were fed up from constantly being interrupted by Tae’s fans that they decided to meet in another time. Taeyeon was going somewhere when someone stopped her to ask her out. She made an excuse but then she saw this very annoying guy coming towards her. She knew this guy will never leave her alone. Ugh, she will be late for practice. She made a detour but he was insistent. So she tried to speed up she kept looking behind that she failed to notice a guy in front of her. Suddenly she slipped and was about to fall. Everything went on slow motion. She closed her eyes ready to hit the ground but someone caught her…her savior as Taeyeon taught.

“Are you ok?” Qri asked.

Taeyeon nodded and said, “Thank you…umm”

Qri smiled and introduced himself “Qri”

“Thank you, Qri shi.”

“Please call me Qri, Taeyeon shi.” He said smiling. Taeyeon was a bit shock that he knows her name. She taught that he might be a stalker but he does not look like it. 

“Then please call me Taeyeon, Qri.” Taeyeon said smiling. She does not know but she felt at ease with Qri. They notice that they were still holding each other so they let go. It was a bit awkward.

“See you” Taeyeon was about to go when she saw the annoying guy. She turns back. Qri who was still standing, saw Taeyeon walking back. He also noticed a guy not far behind looking for something or someone.

“Forget something?” He asked.

“Umm..actually I need to go for practice.” Taeyeon said.

“I believe choir practice room is that way.” Qri said pointing the way where Taeyeon came from. Taeyeon does not know how to explain to Qri that she was avoiding this guy. Unfortunately, the guy recognized Taeyeon and was going towards them.

“Come with me.” Qri pulled her and hid to the room nearby.

“Thanks, again.” Taeyeon said relief that the guy was not able to follow them.

“Why are you hiding from that guy? Do you owe him money?” Qri asked with a straight face.

Taeyeon looked at him and when she saw him grinning, she knew he was just joking. Taeyeon grinned back and said, “No, it’s just that this guy will not stop bothering me. Don’t get me wrong, I am flattered with all the attention I am getting but sometimes it is just too much. It’s getting out of hand. Like this guy, he follows me around and..” Taeyeon tried to explain to Qri. She does not want him to get the wrong idea of her.

“He is starting to creep you out.” Qri said nonchalantly.

“That was a bit too much but yes.” Taeyeon said. Qri might think she is arrogant or something. She looked at the time and groaned that she won’t make it for practice.

“You just have to wear an invisibility cloak.” Said Qri. Taeyeon looked at Qri thinking how this guy could still make a joke at this time.

“If only Harry Potter will lend it to me.” She decided to play along.

Qri pulled her to stand up. “Here put this on.” He said while giving his hoodie to Taeyeon. It was big for Taeyeon’s size but she was able to pull it off. She was surprised that their disguised worked. They walked to the choir practice room without anyone holding her up.

“See? I told you it will work.” Qri said as they reached the practice room.

“Yeah. Who needs Harry Potter when you’re here?” Taeyeon said and they both laugh. She saw that practice was about to start, “I have to go. Thanks again. Bye.” Qri waved back. Qri can’t help but smile as he watch Taeyeon run to practice.

“Where were you? You were almost late. What are you wearing?” Sunny asked.

“Long story.” Tae replied.

“And who was the guy you were talking to? Is that his?” Soyeon ask referring to the hoodie Tae was wearing.

“What guy? What did I missed?” Sica joined in the conversation.

“Shh.. I’ll tell you later”. She forgot to return Qri’s ‘invisibility cloak’. She will just return it next time.

“Jihyun ah, do you have something this Saturday evening?” Mr Lee asked.

Qri stopped playing with his bass guitar and looked at his father saying, “No appa, why?”

“There is a company event. I would like if you can come.” Mr Lee said. He wants Qri to be familiar with the business that is why he asks him to help him as part of his training. Qri agreed to go with his father. He was about to get up but his foot was caught on the wires and tripped.

“How can you be clumsy in your own home?” Mr Lee teased.

“I was just testing our house security and safety measures, Appa.” Qri joked back.

“It is nice seeing you both. I see you brought Jihyun as well. Come, I will introduce you to my family.” Mr Kim said and led them to their table. “Honey, these are my business associates, Mr Lee, his wife, Mrs Lee and their son, Jihyun. Jihyun goes to the same school as our Taeyeon”

“Annyeong” Qri bowed and greeted them.

Their attentions are called for Taeyeonn’s performance. It was the first time Qri saw Taeyeon sing and it was breathtaking. He can understand now why she has many fans. The Lees and Kims were busy talking while Taeyeon is still being surrounded. Qri excused himself to have a breath of fresh air. These gatherings and business talks can be really tiring and boring. He bumped into a waiter and nearly caused an accident. Thanks to the waiter’s good reflexes, nothing was broken. He glanced back and saw his parents shaking their heads teasing him. But then again he nearly walked into an ice sculpture. He didn’t dare look back and just hurriedly went out. He let out a sigh as soon as he was out.

Still being surrounded, Taeyeon wanted to escape. She looked at her parents who were busy talking to another people. She was so hungry and just wanted to sit and eat. Once she found and opportunity, she excused herself and rushed out. She swore that she is never going with her parents to this kind of events again.

“This is so much better.” She heard someone said and she looked at the person who said it. Feeling her gaze, the man looked back at her. “Taeyeon?”

“Qri” She immediately recognized him and almost called him ‘hoodie guy’

“What are you doing here?” Both said at the same time.

“My father brought me to this company event. You?” Taeyeon answered.

“I know. I saw you perform. You are really great, by the way. What I mean is, what are you doing here outside?” Qri asked. “You aren’t running away from someone again, right?”

“No, James Bond.” She answered giggling. “Inside is pretty hectic for me. What are you doing here outside?”

“Inside is pretty tiring and boring for me.” He answered back mimicking Taeyeon which they both giggled.

“I’m hungry” Taeyeon blurted out.

“You know there are a lot of foods inside. Plus it is warmer.” Qri said noticing that Taeyeon might be cold wearing a dress. Taeyeon shrugged. She does not want to go inside. Actually, Taeyeon wants to shy away from all the attention. But then again, she is hungry. Qri was watching her while she contemplates whether to go inside or not. He finds it amusing how she makes faces.

Taeyeon was a bit surprised when Qri put his coat on her. “You must be cold. Come I know a place we can eat. You don’t mind walking a bit, do you?”

She smiled widely and answered, “I don’t.” They walked to this noodle shop not far from the place.  After enjoying the meal, they went back to meet their parents.

“There you are, Jihyun. We’re going home.” Mrs Lee said. Taeyeon looked at Qri and mouth “Jihyun?”

“Neh. Umma, this is Taeyeon. Kim Taeyeon.” Qri introduce her to his mom. Taeyeon greeted Mrs. Lee.

“Nice to meet you, Teayeon. I heard so much about you from your father.” Mrs Lee said.

“My Appa can be too talkative sometimes.” Taeyeon joked making the three of them laugh. Taeyeon bid goodbye to look for her parents. Mrs Lee insist that Qri walk Taeyeon inside. As they walk inside..

“Jihyun?”

“That’s my real name, Lee Jihyun but my friends call me Qri or Kyul.”

“I thought you had some kind of double identity or something.”

“Hahaha.. Ani.”

After that night, Taeyeon and Qri will meet often. Sometimes in school or outside, sometimes they meet at company events where they will go to another shop to eat.  It is too obvious that they enjoy each other’s company.

“Where do you think you are going, Kim?” It was Soyeon who asked. Practice just finished and Taeyeon was going to meet Qri.

“Outside? Practice is finished.” Taeyeon answered in a matter of fact tone.

“We need to talk.” Sunny butted in this time. “We hear rumors.” Teayeon gave them a look.

“More like fan accounts.” Soyeon said. “We think this have to do with the hoodie guy.”

“You know the guy you were supposed to tell us but didn’t tell us.” Sunny further explain hoping Taeyeon will catch what they mean. Giving up, Taeyeon told them about Qri. How they met and kept meeting. The two wanted to meet Qri. Sunny even does a dozen of aegyos to which Taeyeon finally gave in because she does not want to see anymore of Sunny’s aegyo.

“Lee Jihyun?!” Soyeon exclaimed as soon as she sees Qri. She then looked at Taeyeon and said, “Lee Jihyun? Clumsy Jihyun? Are you sure that this clumsy guy saved you a couple of times?”

“Yah! Park Soyeon!” Qri said.

“How did you know each other?” Taeyeon and Qri asked at the same time.

“We go way back.” Qri answered.

“We are in the school choir together with Sunny.” Tae answered.

Qri greeted Sunny. “Sso in a choir?! What do you? Sing trot?” Qri teased. Ssokyul continued to tease each other and Taeyeon was feeling uncomfortable with the closeness of the two.

“Sorry, I want to stay and chat but I have to go. Eunjung is here to pick me up.” Sunny said.

“I see you and your long lost childhood friend are getting closer..” Soyeon teased.

Later on, Hyoyeon who is Taeyeon cousin arrived. They were going home together. Hyoyeon who is usually playful and a prankster is acting mature while the usually talkative Soyeon is quite.

“How about we go to that place. Just for old time’s sake?” Soyeon who is still acting weird asked Qri. Soyeon noticed that Qri glanced at Taeyeon and asked, “Tae, wanna come? You won’t regret it.” Taeyeon looked at Hyoyeon since they are going home together. She wanted to go with them to know more about Qri. Hyo agreed because he wants to spend time with Soyeon. They used Hyoyeon’s car. Soyeon was sitting at the passenger seat because she was giving directions. They went to an underground club named, Number 9.

“Omo! If it isn’t our superstars Qri and Soyeon. Good to see you both!” One shouted when they entered. Qri and Soyeon greeted them. Taeyeon watch Qri, he has a different expression. He looks happier.

“Why don’t you perform? Come one…” One of them said and the rest cheered. He then looked at Tae and Hyo and said, “These two are our superstars so you can see our excitement upon seeing them.”

“Qri is in a band and so am I. We are in different bands but since we play here, I get to know him. Most of us created screen names because we were afraid of being caught by our parents. That’s how Jihyun became Qri.” Soyeon explain upon seeing both Kims being confused.

Soon all of them are onstage. Qri is on the bass, Soyeon and Taeyeon are the vocalists, and Hyoyeon is on the drums. The crowd cheered for an encore and they sang another song. They were chatting about the performance and how great it felt.

“I didn’t know Hyoyeon can play drums.” Soyeon murmured but Taeyeon heard it.

“So cool, right? It’s written all over your face, Sso.” Tae teased the blushing Sso.

“How about the sweet glances you shared with Qri. You two were so obvious during the whole performance. And it's not like we are singng a love song.” Sso teased back.

Taeyeon was talking with another guy, not just any guy but it is Baekhyun, a famous heartthrob. Qri who saw this, walked to them. Once he was infront of them, he smiled at Taeyeon and took her hand. Still a bit surprised by Qri’s sudden action, Qri then intertwine their hands and walked away from the guy.

“He said he will give me dukong…” Taeyeon said with a pout.

Qri looked at her and said, “I will buy you dukong then.” Taeyeon was excited but still find Qri’s action odd. “Just don’t talk to him again…”

“Why? You are acting weird.” Taeyeon said but Qri still kept quiet. This is the first time she see Qri acting like this. “You are not jealous, are you?” She asked. This time, Qri stopped walking. Qri? Jealous? Taeyeon can help but smile. It’s the first time she sees him be jealous. She finds it extremely cute especially the sulking Qri. Qri hardly gets jealous. He is usually calm and understanding even to Taeyeon’s fans. “Why should you be jealous….when I am already your girl?” Taeyeon asked sweetly. Yes, they have been together for weeks. Qri looked at Taeyeon who is smiling sweetly at him. They stood for almost a minute just staring at each other sweetly.

“All set?”

“Yup. This is pretty tiring. I can’t believe our boyfriends talked us into this.”

“I think it is just right we return the favor to them.”

Sica and Fany are in Number 9 making preparations for tonight. Qri, Eunjung and Hyoyeon prepared something for Soyeon, Sunny and Taeyeon. Hyomin and Yuri are more than willing to help even asking for Sica and Fany’s help too. The two were feeling jealous because the 3 guys’ surprise for SST. But like what Fany said, they have to return the favor. They are in a happy relationship because of those three. The plan is they will all go to Number 9 after attending the school’s mini concert event. The meeting place will be in front of the concert stage since the girls except Tiffany will be performing.

“Where are they?” “They are late.” “Park Hyomin, I can’t believe you are late even at this time.” “Eunjung might have fallen asleep somewhere.” “They better show up soon.”

They were busy with their phones but when they heard screams, they couldn’t believe what they were seeing. The boys were onstage. Yuri on guitar, Hyomin on keyboard, Qri in bass, Hyoyeon on drums, Eunjung on vocals.

“Hello. I bet you were not expecting us. I bet you didn’t even know us.  Well, we will be the first act.” Yuri said.

“This is a surprise we prepared for our girls.” Hyomin continued.

The boys became friends easily even to Eunjung who transferred to their school. Kkab Yul, Half Shikshin Hyomin, Clumsy Qri, Prankster Hyoyeon and Sleepy Eunjung. These boys have one common problem and this is the solution they can only think of..
