Summary : Hyukjae said he was belong to city, he will never belong to this small city with pretty beach he always visited every summer. Without knowing he pretty much doesn’t belong to anywhere, he doesn’t completely fit. But Donghae has a place that Hyukjae really belong to.

It took few years for Donghae to finally admitting his feeling for Hyukjae. A boy who collided with him and bought him slushie and stole Donghae's heart with his gummy smile since beginning but Donghae doesn't know yet his heart already stolen by his best friend. He remembers Hyukjae’s question few summers ago about "what if your best friend fall in love with him?" Without thinking first he answered, “it’ll awkward”, still hasn’t fully aware he was jealous. Hyukjae had been constantly talking about his best friend in high school, his name is Yeneung or Yesung something he doesn’t really remember his name, why should he remembering his enemy name, a person who ready to snatch Hyukjae away from him, thus lead him to think that Hyukjae was talking about him. He saw sadness on Hyukjae’s face when he decided to sleep after listening his answer and Donghae getting more positive that Hyukjae’s was talking about Yeneung or Yesung, ugh, whatever.

Slowly but sure Hyukjae starts to distancing himself from him and make Donghae crazy. Donghae put the blame on anything happened between them as the source of Hyukjae’s sudden behavior. Their relationship was stood in the middle of thin line which none of them dare to make first move, where they should go? Going to the side where they'll ended their friendship or let the relationship as it is. Close but far, far yet close.

The thought of confessing to Hyukjae about his feeling had crossed his mind few times but Donghae hold it back, he’s afraid. What if Hyukjae rejected him? What if Hyukjae only likes him as friends? What if in the end he will lose Hyukjae? And another 'what if' was haunted him, make him couldn't took a decision. Until he saw Hyukjae change his relationship status. Donghae felt something stirred on his chest. Jealous perhaps or simply envy. He feels envy to whom wasn’t clear even for himself. Is he envied to Hyukjae’s boyfriend or Hyukjae himself?

Long story short, he kissed Hyukjae that night at beach party and makes the boy crying because of his insensitive answer. Donghae had zero courage to contacting Hyukjae again and silently admitting their friendship was completely over now, thanks’ to his jealousy. Yes, he openly admitted he was jealous and he was a jerk. A jerk who need to be slapped and hit few times so he can regain his courage.

He waiting and waiting. Autumn came before winter and spring came after winter before summer once again came, but Hyukjae didn’t come. “He’s busy. He started his college this year.” Said Mr. Lee when Donghae asking about Hyukjae. He decided to come to Hyukjae’s beach house.He want to apologize at first but instead of Hyukjae he found Mr. Lee sat on porch alone. Donghae went back to his house and waiting again. But now was different. Autumn, winter and spring he passed in uneasiness. Went back and forth from house to hospital, worried about his father. The thought about Hyukjae was pushed to the back of his mind. In the end, his father was losing in the battle. In summer he left Donghae and his family behind. Donghae felt so lost and broken and without him knowing he took out his phone, calling the only person he wants to come and comfort him. Hyukjae. Yes, him, only him.

The comfort he got from Hyukjae wasn't only words and hugs, the comfort he got from him were more than that. His best friend, Hyukjae, that night had given himself for him. No one could tell who was starts it first or how that could happen or why, the fact, it happened.

He poured out his misery, his sadness, his problem; he opened himself completely for Hyukjae that night, in secret place only both of them knew. Vulnerable and lost. Hyukjae hug him, saying comfort words but Donghae asking more, Donghae wants more, Donghae want him, because Donghae need to convince himself he still has place where he could visiting in the end of the day and accepting him as it is. He needs Hyukjae as anchor of his sanity. Donghae needs Hyukjae.

He kissed him again, this time he wasn't drunk and Hyukjae doesn’t pushed him away. He trailed kiss down Hyukjae's pale chest and Hyukjae still didn’t push him away, instead he winding his arms around Donghae’s neck, brought him closer. Both of them were amateur in this field, both of them were giving their first; both of them were experiencing their first. This was the blonde first time as receiving side and this was the brunette first time as giving side. Both of them were exploring the dangerous side of their friendship and if regret coming from one of them after they done doing it could end, their friendship will destroyed completely in no time, without able to be recovered again.

“Do you really want this, Hyuk?” Donghae asked, breathless. Clad only in his birthday suit same like Hyukjae, hovering on top of Hyukjae. Hyukjae smiled, instinct told him to wrap his legs around Donghae’s waist and he did that, “The real question is, do you really want this, Hae?” He whispered and Donghae understand both of them want this. They don’t need words or sentences, because Hyukjae’s wanton moan and Donghae’s grunts was much easier to understand than simplest sentences they usually said.

Hyukjae was crying silently, pain and pleasure was toying with his body and his heart, pretty much draining his energy. Donghae had trying to kiss the tears away but they keep coming back. Did he make a mistake? Did he too rough? He whispering those questions but Hyukjae shook his head. “Give me more!” He demanded. Donghae pick up his pace, watching Hyukjae tugged his sensitive organ eagerly, wanting to reach the bliss as fast as possible. One final , one final tugged, Hyukjae arched his back releasing the tension on his body, Donghae spilled everything he has into Hyukjae’s body. They were a heap of sweaty bodies and tangled limbs with breath mixing when they finished.

Donghae really want to say he loves Hyukjae but he was afraid Hyukjae will take it only as after confession. Usually meaningless. And that’s the reason why Donghae shut his mouth. He rolled onto his back and brought his best friend close to him, sharing body heat as he knew they really need that. “Hyuk, I-” He began but slender finger suddenly pressed on his lips, cut him off, “Don’t say anything and just forget this.” He said as calm as possible. But Donghae doesn’t want to forget this. He will never forget this. Never.

Donghae disappeared the next day. He wasn’t run away, but he needs to settle up few things regarding his father business and stuffs and when he went back to this small city, Hyukjae was no longer in beach house. Donghae took time to re think about everything that has happened to him and what he’ll do now. A long conversation with his mother and brother make him made a decision, he’ll continue his study. Another conversation with his mother made Donghae realized, he doesn’t really know himself. If he knew himself well he won’t hesitate that time. He really won’t hesitate to make a move. He could try his luck than holding onto jealousy. This autumn he made up his mind.

Almost midnight when he reached the town where Hyukjae's college stood. Blame his car that suddenly broke down and he spent hours fixing it before he decide he will took the bus instead of the car. Rain was drenched him but he paid no heed when he get off at bus stop near the college, rely on the text message he got from his friend, he finally found the dorm building. Lucky for him, the dorm leader was his friend in Mokpo so although the visiting hour had passed, he still let Donghae in and yeah, there he was. Standing in front of Hyukjae's room door. Nervous and cold and trembled. He knocked the door. Again and again when Hyukjae still hasn't open the door yet. He flinched in surprise when Hyukjae opened the door while shouting. He grinned sheepishly as he asked Hyukjae, if he was come in wrong time. But he got no answer. He saw the blonde has tears well up in his eyes before he hugged him. And Donghae feels everything seems right again when Hyukjae hugged him. Donghae feels his world starts revolving again when he kissed him and Donghae feels he was beloved again when Hyukjae said he loves him too. Now, he doesn’t have to wait for summer to meet with Hyukjae. He can meet him in winter, spring, summer, autumn, all year. The reason was simple, he’s now enrolled in this college and he will become Hyukjae’s roommate. But sssh..Don’t let Hyukjae know about this. That’s still a secret. Donghae will tell him when the time comes.
