Jessica entered on the supermarket alone. She walked towards the shopping carts and picked one of them. She was dressed normally, wearing skinny jeans, a large shirt and her slippers. Her long brown hair was free and curly.

Some seconds had passed since she got on the place when someone also did. Donghae followed her, clearly nervous. Just like her, he had a casual outfit on, formed by his pants, a collared shirt and his sneakers.

“Can you at least listen to me, Sica?” he inquired, walking beside her.

Jessica pretended to not hear him, staring at the products on the shelves.

He snorted angrily, almost losing his patient.

“Will you just ignore me like that?” he continued his interrogation, still not receiving an answer from his girlfriend.

She was pissed off, and it was obvious. Whenever Jessica Jung was in that state, the best thing to do was stay away from her. Buying a fight with that woman was a terrible trap.

Donghae stopped, closing his hands in fists. He hated whenever she did that to him.

Having enough of that, he grabbed her arm and span her around, so she was now facing him.

“Jessica, you are boiling the blood on my veins” he muttered through greeted teeth “Don’t act like a stupid immature kid and talk to me like a grown adult” he spoke threatening, but she wasn’t scared at all.

The two of them stood staring at each other’s eyes during a moment, until they were interrupted by someone else.

“Excuse me” a tall man cleaned his throat, causing them to look at him “Is everything fine?” he asked worriedly.

Some people were glancing at the couple confusedly. Donghae rolled his eyes, while Jessica managed to smile.

“Absolutely, sir” she assured, freeing herself “Thanks for the concern” she bowed politely, before holding on the cart and continuing her path.

The boyfriend came by behind, running his fingers through his hair desperately.

“Victoria isn’t my lover, Sica!” he exclaimed, loud enough for her to hear.

Jessica tried to ignore that too, opening a fridge and analyzing some beers.

Donghae snorted heavily, approaching her and closing the door violently.

“She called me because she needed to get Kyuhyun’s number. That’s all!” he explained.

“Now the is chasing after Seohyun’s boyfriend? Wow, how classy!” she clapped her hands sarcastically.

“Don’t call her that way!” Donghae shouted, piercing her with his pupils “Victoria is my friend since I was a baby. We grew up together! She is like my sister, Jessica”.

“And so is Leeteuk to me!” she replied on the same tone.

He furrowed his eyebrows.

“What the does Leeteuk has to do with it?” he inquired.

“Whenever I talk to him, you get mad at me” she jogged at him.

“Because he likes you” he answered immediately.

“And she likes you too!” she also did it “Damn, Donghae! Can’t you see how crazy about you Victoria is?” she stared at him hopelessly.

He shook his head, denying.

“You are wrong, Jessica. Victoria likes Nichkhun” he assured.

She slapped her forehead, angrier than ever.

“Nichkhun is dating Tiffany, idiot. They are getting married next week! Did you forget that?” she exclaimed, opening her arms in a despair gest.

He stood quiet for a while. He almost forgot about his girlfriend’s best friend’s wedding. And it remembered him that he still had to buy a gift.

“It doesn’t matter, anyway” he shrugged his shoulders, stepping away from her “But Victoria only sees me as her brother” he affirmed.

Jessica laughed in sarcasm.

“Yes, because your first girlfriend would really forget about when you two dated” she spoke.

Donghae sighed heavily, passing his hands over his face.

“It was ten years old, Jessica! Can’t you move on?” he shouted, provoking some people to turn at him.

“And can’t you ing stop annoying me because of Leeteuk?” she did the same, losing her whole control.

“He wants to steal you from me!” he screamed, getting red because of the discussion.

“What the hell!” she grimaced, snorting strongly “You are such a sometimes, did you know that? And I hate it!” she confessed.

He laughed ironic, clapping his hands.

“As if you were a flower 24/7” he smiled pathetically.

“At least I tell you when you annoy me, instead of keeping it, like you. A relationship is meant to be based on the truth! But seems like you are full of secrets, aren’t you?” she crossed her arms, staring deeply at him.

He furrowed his eyebrows, realizing that neither Victoria nor Leeteuk were the cause of the topic anymore.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

She hesitated a bit, but decided to throw it on him roughly.

“You told me you were going to Japan next month. But why are there tickets for New York? Shouldn’t Hong Kong be your destiny?” and that was it.

Donghae finally discovered the reason why they were arguing.

As if like magic, his nerves calmed down and he felt guilty.

Her two black eyes were filled with tears, which didn’t seem to fall down, as she tried her best to keep them.

“Sica…” he sighed, ranking his fingers through his hair “That was… It wasn’t what you think… I mean” he stammered, not knowing what to do.

Jessica nodded, guessing she had understood what he wanted to say.

“It’s over then” she turned around, abandoning the cart and moving towards the exit.

He furrowed his eyebrows.

“What?” he whispered, ingesting her words.

Suddenly, they hit his heart hardly. His eyelids widened and he ran after her.

“Jessica! Jessica!” he shouted, but she didn’t mind.

As he was fast, he reached her easily. He stopped in front of her and rested his hands on his knees, in an attempt of recovering his oxygen.

She stared at him painfully. Her nose was red, a mark that made him a hundred percent sure that she was crying.

“I won’t forgive you for cheating on me, Donghae” she annoncied, not glancing him.

“Cheating? What? No! Jessica, I didn’t cheat on you!” he assured, grabbing her shoulders “Those tickets are for me and you, honey” he informed, smiling slightly.

Jessica furrowed her eyebrows, not understanding.

“But you said you would be busy-“.

“I lied! Isn’t that obvious?” he inquired.

She looked at him with a mix of surprise and confusion on her pupils.

“Why would you lie to me about such a thing like that?” she questioned.

“Because I haven’t…” he interrupted himself.

They locked their gazes together while he thought about how to make such an important event inside a supermarket. But that had to happen in there. There was no way out now.

He took a deep breath, letting go of her.

“Okay, okay” he putted his hands inside his pockets and snorted; the box wasn’t in there.

He furrowed his chin, spinning around. His eyes caught something and he grinned, walking towards it. He grabbed a roll of string and went back to where she was, climbing on the shelves’ stairs.

“I am sorry about that. It was meant to be perfect but you pressured me a lot” he hissed.

“Donghae, what are you-“.

“Ladies and gentlemen!” he shouted “May I have your attention, please?” he asked, receiving what he wanted “Thank you” he smiled.

Jessica looked around, biting her lower lip embarrassedly.

“Five years ago, inside a Starbucks in New York, Lee Donghae, the foreign law student, saw Jessica Jung, an american designer student” he started his speech.

She remained in silence, listening to him cautiously.

“During a moment, he thought ‘Wow! Who the hell is this girl?’” he copied his own voice, making the audience laugh, including his girlfriend “At the same time, he knew she was the one. A whole life came to be programmed on his mind and, in all of it, she was there” he turned at her, who was already very emotional “Despair filled his body while he imagined how hard it would be living without her. He couldn’t even believe that he stood twenty years of his life not having that person beside him. And it hurt him” he confessed, going down slowly “Now that he came to meet her better and she accepted to be his valentine, he thinks it’s time for them to become more than that” he arrived at the ground “Because Donghae doesn’t want to be incomplete, and that is exactly what would happen to him if she ever left him” he stood in front of her.

Jessica covered trembling. The tears were falling crazily on her cheeks, but she didn’t mind.

“That is why I am going to ask you something really important” he grabbed her hand, standing in one knee.

The whole supermarket exclaimed, and she stared at him lovingly.

“Jung Sooyeon” he called her by her korean name, causing shivers on her spine “My Ice Princess” he smiled sweetly, caressing her palm gently “Would you be mine forever? Would you share your mornings, afternoons and nights with me forever? Would you be my Juliet and let me be your Romeo?” he pulled a single line of the string “Would you marry me?” he looked up at her.

A cute sound echoed on the corridors while Jessica stood immovable. She never thought he would propose her; not now. They were still young and she had just graduated. But she wanted it so bad that, quickly, she moved her head.

“Yes!” she replied, breaking down on cries.

Donghae smiled happily, also getting a bit emotional. Everybody around them cheered for the couple.

He bypassed the object around her ring finger and tied it, before hugging her waist. She threw her arms on his neck and rested her cheek on his shoulder, not controlling herself. Her legs wrapped on his hips and he held on her thighs, caressing them softly.

She stared at him and laughed like a fool.

“You are so stupid, Donghae. Look at my state!” she exclaimed, pointing at her red eyes.

He grimaced, nuzzling his nose with hers.

“I am so unlucky because I will have to wake up with it beside me the rest of my life” he teased, receiving a pat on his back.

They laughed before sharing the most passionate kiss ever.

“I love you” she whispered with her heart.

“I love you too”.
