Set of deep brown wavers, nothing but a bundle of nerves on the inside as restless chocolate wobbles out of the carriage, unsteady feet falling by his Alpha’s side.

“You’ll be fine.” Platinum leans, voice laced with assurance as calloused fingers trace patterns of comforts over the tensed back of his fidgety mate. The Omega though, is far from convinced.

Nonetheless, Donghae tried his best to reciprocate the soothing gesture with a nervous smile. Eunhyuk decides to take the restless hand into his, caressing the cold skin with the pad of his thumb.

“Don’t fret, they would surely like you,” he says finally before dragging the unwilling Omega to the front porch.

It did not take so much time to wait, because as soon as the Alpha went for the first knock, the main door burst open. In an instant, Eunhyuk finds himself surrounded by his pack, everyone merrily welcoming their Alpha’s return.

“Hyung, hyung!” The smallest pup yaps happily from beneath the crowd, pink tongue lolling and tail excitedly wagging from side to side as it desperately crawls its way out of the standing limbs.

Eunhyuk beams, picking the caramel fur that had its hinds caught in between two legs, hoisting it up his arms. “Hello, Kyuhyun.” He coos, petting the soft fleece.

“Hyung!” The youngest exclaims, immediately flinging himself to the Alpha. Eunhyuk stumbles but laughs, coals deep yet warm.

“I missed you hyung!” Kyuhyun whines, voice muffled beneath the elder’s neck and Eunhyuk pets the soft tuft of honey, “Hyuk-hyung missed you too, Kyuhyun-ah. Have you been a good pup?”

“I did! I did!” The youngest declares proudly, chest puffing out. The Alpha couldn’t help but to bite his lower lip, suppressing himself from chuckling at the adorable sight.

Donghae watches the scene and feels something in his chest flutter as he observes his mate. Eunhyuk is undeniably handsome with the crinkles on the side of his eyes, straight button nose and charming smile. But more than anything he is kind and gentle, a good Alpha. The Omega stays rooted on his feet, for a moment forgetting all his nervousness while he focused his gaze on his mate, laughing to himself as he watches his mate gets hoarded by the rest of the pups. Eunhyuk is by no means similar to the likes of Donghae’s previous Alpha—everything but imposing and strict. Eunhyuk is like an ideal brother—soft hearted and understanding and it made his wolf rumbles in satisfaction for finding such a perfect mate.

The Omega has been contented watching, away from all of the attention, except until Eunhyuk turns and their gazes meet. The Alpha softly lowers the youngest down on his feet and peels away from the crowd, taking a step closer towards his mate and encaging the frozen Omega’s frame within his hold.

“Everyone,” platinum smiles, happy and proud, “This is Donghae, my mate.”

Everyone paused, all attention turning directly towards him and Donghae inwardly flinches, trying his best not to coil and shrink from the stares. He gives a hesitant smile and a timid wave, hoping he doesn’t look like a fool for doing so. Unconsciously his lips, Donghae averts his eyes, feeling like he’s about to faint from the uncomfortable silence when he hears a voice calling out for his name. He looks up and blinks at the hand presented in front of him.

“Hello Donghae-sshi, my name is Ryeowook. Welcome to our pack.” The petit male’s tone is warm and friendly, a sincere smile adorning his small, pretty face. And Donghae couldn’t help but feel grateful by the welcoming gesture. Curtly he takes the hand, mumbling a ‘thank you’ in return.

He gasps when Kyuhyun suddenly latched on his thighs, large doe eyes blinking up at him. “You’re pretty, noona.” The youngest exclaims, causing the Omega to blush and the rest of the pack to burst out laughing.

“S-sorry, I-I’m not a g-girl.” Donghae tries to explain, completely mortified by the misconception.

But Kyuhyun only tilts his head, brows furrowed and orbs shining with confusion. “You are not?”

It was Ryeowook who pulls the youngest away. “Sorry,” he shoots the Omega an apologetic face, “Kyuhyun-ah, Donghae is a hyung and not a noona.”

“Oh,” the youngest nods in understanding, suddenly feeling embarrassed by his mistake and Donghae reaches down to tentatively pat the pup’s head.

“It’s alright, you can call me whatever you want Kyuhyun-ah,” he tries to cheer the deflated pup, succeeding on doing so as he earns a bright grin from the youngest.

“Okay!” The pup titters, face morphing to mischief when he surges forward the baffled Omega and places a smooch on the elder’s cheek before scampering off like a silly thief.

“What…was that?” the Omega mutters shocked, watching the pup happily ran away with his friends.

Eunhyuk gathers his stupefied mate up to his feet while shaking his head. “I hope you don’t find him weird.”

“I…” Donghae was about to answer when another hand was shoved in front of him.

The male introduced himself as Jongwoon, Eunhyuk’s Beta and Ryeowook’s mate. “It’s nice meeting you Donghae-sshi.” He shakes the Omega’s hand eagerly. “Never took our Alpha as someone who dotes on the cute types.” The male added with a playful wink, effectively causing the Omega to blush once more.

“Hyung,” the said Alpha warns, albeit his face also dusted with red.

The Beta laughs at the empty threat, dark intimidating eyes disappearing to crescents as he hold his arms up in surrender, retreating to his mate’s side with an amused smirk.

Another man takes an opportunity to offer his hand. “My name is Jungsoo, the pack doctor.” The dimpled man reverberates with wisdom and respect as he introduced himself. “Welcome to our pack Donghae-sshi, there’s no reason for you to be afraid, Eunhyuk is a good Alpha. You two make a lovely pair, by the way.”

Soon all of the pack members were introducing themselves one by one.

By the time they were done flocking the Omega with greetings and congratulations, Donghae’s head is swarming with new faces, half of which names he couldn’t remember. He was thankful though, because they all seem to be very different from Donghae’s previous pack, they give off a warmer, much welcoming feeling than the Omega could ever imagine.  It made Donghae feel more relaxed, his nervousness gradually vanishing the longer time he spends with the new pack.
