Foreword

GIRL's POV

"Hi." He greeted me the moment I turned away from talking to our old high school teacher.
"Oh. Hello. How are you?" I smiled at him.  But all I really wonder if he still kinda care about me.
"I'm fine.  You look bright today." he smiled warmly and I just stood there. Looking stupid, can't get off my eyes at him.
He cleared his throat then looked away.
"How 'bout you? How are things now?"
"It's... it's fine. Happy 'bout my achievements. Oh, heard 'bout your new girlfriend.  She's pretty! Congratulations!" I did my best to sound very ecstatic.
"Oh. We're... we're doing great. Yes." He smiled at me.
"Yeah. Happy, of course." Then once more, he looked away.  He can't even look at me.
"You know, I miss you. A lot. All those fun stuff that happened to us." He chuckled, as if he was really reminiscing our memories together as best friends.
I just also chuckled. Just going with the flow.
The bell rang.
"Oh gosh. It's already 11. Need to go now." Then he gave me a hug, a friendly hug.
I went home, dumbstruck.
The moment I reached my room, I locked my door, went to my bed and cried.
'I love him.'

BOY's POV
"Hi." I greeted her the moment she faced me.  She just talked to our high school teacher.
"Oh. Hello. How are you?" she smiled and greeted me.
'It seems like forever since we last met.' I smiled and told her I'm fine and that she looks so bright today. But all I really wanted to say was she looks better than before.
She was staring at me. I can't look back at her. I would just embarrass myself. I would just show my weak side. I would just cry in front of her.
"How 'bout you? How are things now?" I asked her.
"It's... it's fine. Happy 'bout my achievements. Oh, heard 'bout your new girlfriend.  She's pretty! Congratulations!" and she sounded very enthusiastic. And honestly, I was disappointed.  'Cause I was hoping to hear a little despondency in her voice but found none.
"Oh. We're... we're doing great. Yes." I smiled at her. I was hoping that she could feel that I would choose her over any other girl. But still, I heard nothing but her smiles.
"You know, I miss you. A lot. All those fun stuff that happened to us." I chuckled, as I reminisced some of our memories together. I really doubt she would think that I mean it because honestly, I at confessing my feelings.  But seriously, I mean what I said.
The bell rang.
"Oh gosh. It's already 11. Need to go now." Then I gave her a hug. A hug that I know would be the last.  I held her for the last time.
The moment I got home, I went directly to my room and burst.
'I just totally lost her.'
