Chapter 2
You've Fallen for a Bad GuyIt was too late.
Without realizing or knowing what he had done to her, everything seemed to be spinning around...
Until she collapsed on the ground. Unconscious.
She opened her eyes and had no idea how many hours she slept.
Everything's dark.
The smell of wood.
That disgusting smell she can't describe.
L. Joe locked her inside a coffin near a cemetery, the same cemetery where he had been buried alive when he was a baby.
L. Joe didn't bury her alive yet. He only locked her inside the coffin, but he was still watching, waiting for Nana to knock and shriek like a little girl. He shouldn't feel conscience... but he is.
"Where am I? “Nana asked herself and kicked the coffin with her leg. "Ow," she sniffled and became tense. "Somebody help me... Help," she whispered.
L. Joe hated that voice, somehow he thinks he had heard that voice before.
He placed his hand on top of the coffin and whispered to himself, "Don't open it, L. Joe... She'll tell everybody that you're a killer." But he couldn't stop himself.
He opened the coffin . Nana stared at him in horror.
"You---" L. Joe faced his gun at her and glared back at her.
"Don't move," he ordered. "Close your eyes." He added.
"What?" Nana asked confusedly.
"You don't know how it feels to be buried alive, do you want me to do that to you???!!!" He yelled at her. Nana closed her eyes and her sweat was falling. Her hands were cold as if she was dead. She was too nervous, afraid that the strange man in front of her would kill her.
"Promise me you're not going to tell anyone what you had seen," L. Joe said, "If you do, you're really dead. I'll be watching you."
"But... you killed my best friend..." Nana said and her voice croaked.
"Keep your mouth shut if you don't want me to kill you and your family!!!" L. Joe yelled at her.
With Nana's eyes closed, she couldn't stop but cry. Her tears fell out her closed eyes and by the time she opened her eyes, L. Joe was already gone.
Nana lies up and looked around. The man left his gun on the ground and she kept wondering where he is.
L. Joe went back to his place and talked to his father inside his office.
"Someone saw me..." he said in an unpleasant voice.
"Did you kill her or him?" Tae Suk asked him.
"I didn't kill her," when L. Joe answered his question, Tae Suk's eyes widened. His hand clenched into a fist.
"What?!" His father scolded him. "You should have killed her! What if she will tell the police? Or her family???!!!"
"Father..." L. Joe began. "I couldn't. I don't know why but something's stopping me. I tried to bury her alive, but I just couldn't. Father... I don't know why. "
"I don't care why." Tae Suk said. "I don't care whatever your reasons, whether it's because you pity that girl or because you are attracted to her, I don't her. Just keep your eyes on her, and if she dares to tell anyone what she saw, kill her immediately. If you can't do that... Then I will forget that you are my son." He added and walked out of the room.
L. Joe stayed inside his father's office; his hands clasped together, his eyes so deep and dark. He remembered the face of Nana while he was carrying her inside the coffin, he remembered that he tried to kill her but he couldn't.
"I don't understand it... Why is it I can kill anyone I want to? But why can't I get myself to kill that girl?" He thought.
