A walk in Munich

Description

Yonghwa and Chaerin are engaged for three months within their eleven month relationship. Twelve days before their anniversary and wedding, Yonghwa kidnapped Chaerin and brought her to a "vacation/road trip" around Europe. One that the woman know nothing about. With the help of their managers, CEOs and bandmates, Yonghwa managed to pull this plan into action.

[A/N: This was from a roleplay account on tumblr and the two characters mentioned above are the two muses that were in a relationship. This drabble is one that I did for yongxhwa. Here is my original post.]

Foreword

Every night, before Chaerin closes her eyes, she’d ask Yonghwa if ‘this is really real’ and every time, Yonghwa would answer her with a constant reply, without even faltering as if he actually enjoys answering her; a chuckle, while running his fingers through her hair and a soft "Yes baby, this is our reality now." He probably do enjoy such small moments instead of getting annoyed at how repetitive his fiancee can get. Maybe, he’s also convincing himself if this is reality, and by having to answer her, he sort of give himself some ground or assurance that yes… this is really happening. He is making this happen. And in a couple of days, this beautiful woman will walk down the aisle, in the most beautiful white dress in the world. And maybe he’ll have to slap himself a few times or pinch himself just like how she pinches him just to make sure that this is really happening.

But to be honest, her slow breathing, the soft thumping in her chest and the warmth that touches his skin every time he laid a touch on her was proof enough that this is far from fantasy land.

On the 10th of September, after dragging Chaerin out of their hotel and dodging her question of "When are we going back to Korea?" for the third time that morning, Yonghwa finally managed to get a taste of fresh air in his lungs. He loves Europe and he especially loves the weather. The streets are damp, meaning it probably rained last night, and it smells of dew, which could also signal that the rain had just passed. Perfect.

At least, perfect enough to drift his fiancee’s thought of planning the wedding and everything that goes along with it. If anything, he wanted her to just relax and enjoy their time together. After all, this might be the last chance that they’d get a vacation this long.

"Wasn’t the weather perfect?" Yonghwa mused before turning around and facing Chaerin which is behind him with her hands tangled on his. The woman nodded with a smile, the sign of irritation from earlier has obviously disappeared, given that she has an attention span of a cat. "It is. It’s perfect for a walk" this earned an even wider smile from Yonghwa since his plan has worked once more.

Chaerin wears a cropped, black, leather jacket and underneath it was a vintage dress paired up with black flat shoes. Since she knows that she would be doing a lot of walking, she decided to give her feet a break from high heels. They’d do good at dinner though. Yonghwa on the other hand wears a more casual look with his leather hoodie, shirt and a pair of jeans and sneakers. At times, the male would wonder how on earth he managed to get this woman’s heart with his casual fashion statement but what he hasn’t realize was, Chaerin actually love how he is flexible with his wardrobe. He can make a suite work on a casual and a hoodie and pair of jeans looks right beside a woman whose wearing a dress. He may have stared at her like he was seeing her for the first time earlier when she first stepped out of the bathroom, all dressed up; but he didn’t know that Chaerin had to catch a breath the moment he stood up and take her hands.

They started walking around Munich and doing what usual tourists do. Take pictures. Yonghwa got his DSLR while Chaerin have her phone, taking snapshots of random images and snapshots of Yonghwa taking random images as well. Basically, 90% of the photos that they’ve taken were images of each other, some images of them taking each other’s photo.

Something about the way that Yonghwa’s skin brightens against the sun attracts Chaerin’s eyes onto him, or maybe it’s the way that his lips would curl into a smile every time he’d spot something beautiful, or wonderful. Or maybe it’s how fascinating he moved with his camera, making him look so professional and intimidating. It wasn’t that easy to make Chaerin feel intimidated by someone, but somehow, this man gets her almost every time. Almost. Because Lee Chaerin have a very strong hold of self-control and denial. And she would never ever let herself be caught in such a situation where she would be gawking over Jung Yonghwa. Never.

It was a different story for Jung Yonghwa. There was never enough angles where Lee Chaerin didn’t look beautiful or breathtaking. He wears his heart and feelings at his sleeves when it comes to his fiancee. He probably is her biggest fan and he wouldn’t waste a sweat to deny that. Everywhere he looks, every time he turns his head and he’d see her occupied with something, he’ll take the chance and snap a picture of her. Something about her being occupied and oblivious with her surrounding gets him all the time. All the time.

It wouldn’t be once or twice when the couple would catch each other watching the other. At first, it would earn sheepish smiles and they would immediately pull their gazes away; but now, it still made them smile sheepishly but they would hold on to each other’s gaze with those cheeky, shy smiles.

But it wasn’t until after they’ve eaten their lunch that the real fun started.

Yellow drops of sun that used to sparkle against the corner of Chaerin’s eyes slowly disappears and at first, the woman thought that it was just the cloud, covering the sun’s rays. But it wasn’t. The air started to blow a rather colder scent but despite that, the people didn’t seem to mind nor worry about what seems to be a hard rain approaching. And to be honest, so is Chaerin. Yonghwa has noticed about the change as well but he didn’t mind it because firstly, it would be fun to play under the rain for once and second…. well, it would be fun to play under the rain. So technically, the young man took the signs of nature and turned it into a good sign.

"It’s raining…" Chaerin mused with a frown on her forehead. "Aish… now we’re stuck in here until the rain pass…" by the tune of her voice, Lee Chaerin wasn’t amused by the sudden turn of events and obviously, Yonghwa didn’t miss any of these unconscious reaction from his fiancee. Wanting to make things better, Yonghwa took her hand„ rub his thumb at the back of it and chuckled.
"Aigoo… Don’t be so gloomy, baby. The weather’s already gloom enough” he kissed the back of her hand and placed the camera into it’s water-proof bag before standing up "come on." he muttered, pulling Chaerin along. The woman got her brows frowning and even though she hesitantly moved, she still stands up when her fiance pulled her along.
"Eh? Where are we going?" Chaerin asked with wide eyes, already having a hint of what could be brewing at the back of Yonghwa’s head.
"You’ll see." Yonghwa grinned mischievously.

The rain has started it’s downpour when they stepped out of the restaurant and there are already a handful of people drying themselves at the small patio that the restaurants along the street were offering. But Yonghwa had a different plan in mind. What with his things already secured in his waterproof bag and Chaerin’s essentials all in her sling purse, he’s sure that his plan would work just fine.

"….. Yonghwa?" the worry in Chaerin’s voice made the male chuckle. He turned to her and started to walk backwards rather slowly, his cheeks being prominent as he flashed her a cheeky and excited smile. All his gums are present as well which hinted Chaerin that her suspicions are correct.
"What?" he asked innocently "We’re just going to play~"
"Aniya" she protested, raising a finger at him "We’ll get wet—"
"But that’s my plan~" he hums.
"I hate you."
she growls.
"I know."

With one last glare (or probably a warning) from his fiancee, Yonghwa jumps into the pouring rain, pulling a screaming Chaerin along. Yells from different strangers emerges as well but the two were too engulfed into the rain that they cannot understand what the people were talking about. Chaerin’s screams mixed with Yonghwa’s loud laughter and the rainfall’s hum against the establishments and the floor created a such a beautiful music in the couple’s heart. They played under the rain, threw water against each other, Chaerin, hitting Yonghwa and Yonghwa carrying her and twirling her around until she can feel the rain directly kissing her face. Their hearts were in Oasis and nothing else existed other than the warmth of their body, the laughter of each other and the rain that was happily dancing with them.

They ran along the street, caught a few eyes, didn’t care and finally , when the rain has slowed down, decided to stop for a moment. They are literally soaking wet and their clothes has gained quite a weight that the couple were almost catching their breath.

"That was fun" Chaerin mused as she squeeze water out of her skirt.
"Told you it will be" Yonghwa grinned, pulling his jacket away and chuckling more to himself. He has successfully made Lee Chaerin happy. What an accomplishment.
"Yeah, yeah. You did" letting go of her skirt, Chaerin messes Yonghwa’s hair and thinking that it would be funny to play with them, she pressed his locks down, making him look like a bald man and laughed loudly "Baby you looked like Homer!"
"Huh?" taking a moment to realize what she meant, Yonghwa eyed his fiancee and stretches his lips into yet another mischievous grin. "Maybe that’s because I am?" then he wiggled his eyebrow in a very odd manner which only screamed trouble for Lee Chaerin.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" the woman’s eye twitched as she slowly gets up and takes a couple of step back.
"Well, you are obviously my Marge so…" standing up as well and cracking his knuckles, Yonghwa take some steps forward just as Chaerin moved "so I should make you look like Marge too right?"
"No. There’s no need for that baby—-"
"Oh come on. Let’s make my Simpson Team possible~"
"Yah! Aniya!"

Chaerin dashed away from Yonghwa but it wasn’t too long that Yonghwa caught with her, messed up her hair and tried to pull them up with not much success. As a result, he just gave Chaerin a messy hair that made her look like she just woke up and a pissed-off expression on her face.

"Ehe… baby you’re still beautiful. And I’m still going to marry you~" Yonghwa said, patting both her cheeks. But it didn’t do anything to change the scowl on Chaerin’s face. She is so mad and he is in a dip of trouble.
