Sehun loves bubble tea.

  He really really loves bubble tea.

  The first time he drank bubble tea was when he was a kid. His grandmother had bought him one as a treat for being a good boy all day. Of course, no one told her about Sehun's sugar high. He was brandishing the cup of bubble tea around after taking a sip, nearly smacking it into his grandmother's face as he attempts to throw a hug around her to thank her.

  Needless to say, he was banned from having bubble tea regularly after that incident.

  Sehun loves bubble tea.

  He was eating Ddeokbokki on the streets with his friends, drinking bubble tea, when the casting lady approached him. Being the well-taught kid he was, he ran away from her. It was a full thirty minutes before she finally caught up and gave him the card. The cup of bubble tea in his hand was half-finished as a pair of heels clicked off while he stared disbelievingly at the card.

  He was sure he had just flunked his audition. How could he not? He had totally forgotten the steps halfway, and had swayed around a little stiffly, before getting a grip on himself and finishing his dance. He was nearly in tears as he left the room, convinced that he didn't make it.

  Feeling sorry for him, his mum took him out to get some Choco Bubble Tea. Sipping the bubble tea contentedly, Sehun couldn't help but regret the happenings at his audition.

  He got in, of course.

  Sehun loves bubble tea.

  Trainee life turned out to be harder than he thought. He was exhausted from the endless practices that was dished out to him. The language lessons, physical workouts, dancing lessons, singing lessons...everything. The only solace he could find in such a mess of his life was of course, his bubble tea.

  Fast forward to his fourth year as a trainee, and he was walking along a stretch of road that he had walked upon many many times already. Once he got to the bubble tea shop, he placed his order, and went in search of a table. Finding one, he plopped down into its accompanying chair, awaiting his order.

  "Is this seat taken?" A voice broke his reverie.

  Sehun glanced up into a pair of sparkly eyes.

  Wow.

  Sparkly Eyes continued staring at him confusedly. Sehun shook his head dazedly, and Sparkly Eyes sunk into the other chair. They remained silent for the rest of the time until Sehun got called up for his order. He stood up, bade a small farewell to Sparkly Eyes, and soon left the shop, bubble tea in hand.

  Sehun wasn't a talker, but that was still honestly the most awkward moment he had shared with somebody.

  He was in Dance Class when h met Sparkly Eyes again.

  What is he doing here?

  "Hey, be my partner?"

  Sehun blinked in confusion. He was a trainee here? Trying to avoid the impending awkwardness, he glanced around the room desperately, trying to find a different partner.

  Unfortunately, everyone else was already in pairs, and Sehun's usual partner and best friend Kim Jongin was late and nowhere in sight. Shrugging, Sehun agreed. Along the way, the instructor came and went, ponting out ways and steps for Sehun and Sparkly Eyes to work on. As Sparkly Eyes nailed a spin, Sehun couldn't help but think that there was a lot more to Sparkly Eyes than meets the eye.

  At the end of the lesson, Sehun made his way to Jongin, who HAD turned up late and flushed during the lesson, but a hand on his shoulder slowed him down. Sehun turned around to look at the owner of the hand, and was met with a pair of sparkly eyes.

  "Wanna go out and get bubble tea sometime soon?"

  At their next rendezvous at the bubble tea shop, Sparkly Eyes turned out to be a Chinese university exchange student, who ended up getting scouted while shopping one day. Sparkly Eyes who turned out to be named Lu Han, who explained that 'Lu' in Chinese meant deer. Sehun couldn't help but think that Lu Han was a very befitting name: a deer's eyes were just as sparkly.

  Sehun went to sleep dreaming about sparkly-eyed deer that night.

  Sehun loves bubble tea.

  When he was told that he would be debuting with Lu Han and Jongin, he immediately threw a mini bubble tea celebration. Lu Han was invited, and so were Jongin and Kyungsoo, a boy whom Jongin had been hoping about for ages.

  (Sehun had cheered like there was no tomorrow when Jongin told his best friend that he was finally dating Do Kyungsoo: he was beyond annoyed watching his friend act like a lovesick puppy and mooning about Kyungsoo and how he'll never be his. He was also annoyed that Kyungsoo got Jongin to take breaks while he couldn't even get Jongin to go to the toilet with him.)

  Sehun took a quick one-over when he saw Do Kyungsoo for the first time, as his boyfriend dragged him up to meet him. Kyungsoo had huge eyes too, but bigger than Lu Han and not as sparkly. He was small and shy though. And Sehun had to admit: cute and squishy-looking.

  Definitely Jongin's type.

  No wonder Jongin had fallen so hard for the boy, Sehun mused. He could tell that they were going to be very lovey-dovey.

  Gesturing for them to sit, Sehun said: "We're just waiting for one more. So I guess we'll all be debuting together."

  "Isn't it great?" Jongin grinned. "Now I'll get to be with Soo Hyung every single day."

  Sehun rolled his eyes. Trust Jongin to link everything back to Kyungsoo.

  Kyungsoo then spoke up: "Who did you invite?"

  "Lu Han," Sehun replied. "He's-"

  "Your soon-to-be, future boyfriend." Jongin interjected. "And husband." he added as an afterthought.

  Sehun kicked him from under the table and Jongin yelped from the pain.

  "He's just my friend." he hissed, glaring at Jongin, who pointedly decided to ignore the glare.

  "I think that would be cute though." Kyungsoo mumbled shyly.

  Jongin squealed as he tackled Kyungsoo into a hug. "Finally! Someone agrees with me!"

  "Did I miss something?" a voice interrupted.

  Sehun turned around, meeting a very familiar pair of sparkly eyes.

  He failed to see his best friend's eyes widen, and failed to see Jongin leaning down to Kyungsoo's ear whispering: "Wow, he's totally Sehun's type."

  And everyone else would have agreed: Sehun's obviously smitten with Lu Han.

  Bubble tea helped him gain a new friend. And no matter how much Sehun denied it, someone to have a crush on.

  But sometimes looking at Lu Han, and the way he acted, Sehun wondered if that was possible. The way Lu Han insisted how he was very manly, yet at the next moment he would be brushing his hand against Sehun's. How Lu Han went out to play soccer, yet wiped food stains away from Sehun's face when the younger had gotten them onto himself by accident.

  He just felt really confused.

  Along the way of his and Lu Han's bubble tea trips after practice, he had somehow fallen in love (yes, he finally admitted it) with the baby-faced, sparkly-eyed, lead vocalist and dancer of EXO-M.

  But that's what broke his heart the most.

  It was true that Lu Han and him would be debuting in the same group, EXO.

  It was also true that they would be debuting in subgroups, and that they wouldn't be in the same subgroup.

  Jongin and Kyungsoo were lucky though, both debuting in EXO-K along with him.

  While he would be here, in Korea, debuting, Lu Han would be there, in China, debuting.

  Drinking his bubble tea, he coudn't help but feel that maybe, just maybe, Lu Han and him just weren't meant to be together.

  However, he couldn't even bring himself to say the same thing to Lu Han.

  He was too nervou, despite Jongin and Kyungsoo's endless coaching and practice.

  But apparently, Jongin had reached a limit.

  They were at the airport the next day to send EXO-M off to China, and Jongin had shoved Lu Han into Sehun.

  "You have five minutes."

  Sehun's face turned an awful shade of sunburn, and his mouth went as dry as the Sahara.

  "Lu Han Hyung, I...I..."

  Sehun cursed at himself. He was never going to say it.

  Lu Han would leave for China and he would never know and Sehun would die a slow and miserable death and Lu Han's lips were on his.

  At least, that's what he registered during his mindless tirade.

  He felt Lu Han's arms around him (when did they get there?) amd a voice murmuring: "I like you too, idiot. But you were too busy staring at me to notice the signs. And I kept dropping subtle hints too! So I just thought I would do what both of us want to do."

  Sehun just sighed in relief, wrapping his arms tightly around Lu Han.

  Just before they went on their debut stage, Sehun couldn't help but think that he and Lu Han were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time but in different places.

  But h was pretty sure that both him and Lu Han wouldn't forget the kiss that he planted on Lu Han's forehead the second before EXO-M left for the departure hall.
