Prologue

The cloud was crying as it covered the bright sun gloomily showing its resentment on the non-stop sunny day that was stealing its limelight. Finally, it was a time for the human race to reflect on their darkest secret… and for some human being fates to be intertwined together.

Yonghwa was running to avoid the impending rain with his bag pack bumping to his back with every single step he took when he felt his feet are kicking something pink so he stopped. The lighting was scolding him for stopping his step as it groaned loudly and then the water started to pour mercilessly, giving its blessing towards the hoarse ground.

He squinted his eyes to take a good look of the small thing that he just kicked at when he heard a loud sobbing sound that rival even the sound of rain itself. He turned his back and saw a girl crying as she brushed her eyes with her free hand while the other was holding a yellow umbrella.

He glanced at her feet and saw that one of her shoe was missing, so he took the pink shoe and offered it to her but she cried even harder. Apparently the strap was cut. He approached her with a goofy grin on his face and patted her awkwardly.

“Don’t cry....”

“M-My feet hurt.. it’s dirty *hiccup* I-It’s raining too…”

“It’s okay.” Yonghwa untied his shoelace and gave her, his shoes. Helping her to tie the shoelace. “Better?”

“Uhuh.” She bobbed his head up and down.  

Yonghwa nodded and about to walk away when those cute little fingers of her curled and grabbed his wrist.

“Your shoes?”

“It’s okay..”

“It’s not.” Seohyun insisted. Suddenly, he felt the drop of rain stop hitting him and instead a yellow shady thing was covering him.

It was her umbrella.
