Summary:

There’s a barcode on the back of Lu Han’s neck, and his life ends when the last bar fades white. In order to stay alive he works for SM Science Corps as an assassin, because the moment he fails to kill his assigned target, it’s game over, forever.

His new target happens to be Oh Sehun, troubled teenage heir to the million dollar corporation: Oh Enterprises.

However, Lu Han starts to fall in love with Sehun, something that he never thought would happen. Now the stakes are higher than ever as Lu Han the struggle to save both Sehun and himself begins.

                She’s dead before she manages to scream, her body rolling onto the molted carpet. Cyanide mixed with the nectar of an Oleander plant and some other masking poisons, virtually untraceable.  Lu Han stands up, holding the bloodied syringe delicately as if might explode at any given moment.

                He scrubs the glass clean using the washroom sink before wrapping it in layers of  cheap, flimsy toilet paper and drops it out the windows—with a view of brick walls of graffiti—into a dumpster filled with empty packets of powder and garbage.

                There’s distant noise of police sirens and hysteric singing, drunken laughter and shattering glass as Lu Han kneels down by Kwan Hwa’s head. He shuts her eyelids, pressing his lips to her forehead in a kiss without feelings; it was a parting gift, because if she dies, he lives, it’s as simple as that.

                “Thanks for tonight.”
