Soohyun POV
Saving SoohyunI returned home to my shoddy apartment and let Hyerim’s exhausted body collapse onto the musty couch. I quickly pulled off my heels and threw them across the room. Even in Hyerim’s body, those shoes were a burden.
Before I began my nightly routine, I pulled my cellular from my clutch and punched in Dr. April’s number.
Her annoyingly chirpy voice sounded after the first ring.
“How was the party?” she sang.
She asked this question as if we were long time chums, catching up on the latest gossip circulating through the high school halls.
“Um, it went as well as it should have. I got the fiancé raging with the dress humiliation. She kicked me out, as I expected.”
“What happened with Key? That’s what I’m really trying to get at!”
I thought for a moment.
There was no real way to describe what happened with Kibum.
He was so poised, refusing to display any emotion towards anything.
Except for when he walked me out.
That could’ve meant something.
“Well, when Arisa kicked me out, Kibum walked me to the front of the firm,” I began.
My eyes landed on the black tuxedo jacket splayed across my lap.
The scent of his cologne traveled up my nose, saving me from my couch’s cat-pee stench.
“Oh, I almost forgot, he gave me his suit jacket to shield me from the cold. That’s something right?”
In all honesty, I’m not good at picking up signs of affection from anyone. Bac
