Speculating glances shot towards Kibum.

He shrugged, grabbed his empty cup, and walked out of the café.

He glanced to his left then to his right to see if he could spot Eunji.

She had already blended into the crowd.

Kibum groaned and tossed his cup into an outside trash can.

“That girl is out of place,” he grumbled, sliding his body onto the driver’s seat of his car. “I mean, honestly, who does she think she is?”

Kibum pulled out of his parking space and mingled into traffic.

His phone vibrated in his pocket.

It was his best friend Lee Jinki.

“Call me.”

Kibum did as directed and requested that his car dial Onew’s number.

He picked up after the second ring.

“God, took you long enough,” Jinki joked.

Kibum rolled his eyes, not in the mood for Jinki’s child play.

“Hey buddy, you there?”

“I’m here,” he replied impatiently, tapping his slender fingers along the steering wheel.

“Oh gosh, someone’s in a bad mood-,”

“Onew please, just get to the point.”

“Okay, okay, jeez. I figured out where you can take your fiancé to make up for the engagement thing,” Jinki announced enthusiastically.

 “Excuse me?”

“Just hear me out man. Minho’s law office is hosting their annual holiday party this Wednesday and-,”

“No,” Kibum interrupted.

“C’mon Key, just listen to me-,”

“No. I won’t say it again.”

“But you can bring Arisa. Announce her to everyone as your fiancé. Recreate the moment but at someone else’s party.”

Kibum huffed. “Onew, what kind of…that doesn’t even make sense.”

“But it does! She can be the center of attention! And she’ll be wearing another dress, so the new intern won’t be wearing the same one!”

Kibum squinted.

“How is the intern even a factor?”

“Haha, you got me buddy. I’m going to ask her to be my date.”

His foot slammed against the brakes, making the ca
