Kyungsoo was standing near the kitchen counter, cheerfully humming while wiping the wet dishes. There, everything’s in order, clean and in its place. He managed to peacefully finish his chores without the usual chaos that is around when the boys and Baekhyun are home. This way he can enjoy the quiet and get everything together. Two birds with one stone.

                He was putting the cup in the kitchen cabinet when he heard two loud child voices and even louder male voice. Well, that’s it for resting. The small man makes his way towards the front door to help undress the boys from their winter coats. It’s always a mess with these two. Tao and Sehun are adorable but there’s ton of work with raising them. It would be easier to deal with them separately but they have no heart for it. They will start crying instantly.

                The two little devils ran into the hallway making a mess on the perfectly clean floor with their dirty boots. Kyungsoo was aware that it’ll end up this way but he cleaned up either way. At least it was clean for a while to enjoy his eyes. Right behind them was his mate, Baekhyun, third kid in their family. Honestly Kyungsoo felt sometimes like choking him, and sometimes he did, when Baekhyun was getting annoyingly childish. Fortunately his choke hold worked every time and usually he got his mate back after a few seconds. Not that he did it all the time. He loved it how Baekhyun can interact with Sehun and Tao, play with them, show them how to fight, when all he can do is rip his hair from his head when he sees them getting hurt or dirty, all three of them off course. And that’s his charm, kids love him for being the cheesy but still a cool dad and he loves him…for no reason actually. Because does there have to be a reason for loving someone?

- Soo, I’ll go get some towels, their hair is wet from the snow…

- Nooo! No don’t move! Take your shoes of first! I cleaned here!

- Ok, ok don’t yell, I’m going back. Hey Tao, come here… um…Soo?

- What? – Kyungsoo asks, already a bit annoyed. He looks up and sees scared face of his mate looking somewhere to his right. He follows his look and gasps from horror. His shining floor. Dirty! Traces of small feet everywhere around and a distant giggles of their 4 year olds. – Oh my god Baek go catch them! Catch them before they make a bigger mess!

- Yeah, I got it just let me… yeah, I’m going.

Kyungsoo went to the bathroom to take something to wipe the dirt with and just when he opened the door, two little figures sprinted right passed him and he thinks he’s gonna have a breakdown today. He feels his left eyelid twitch from nerves and his full lips form a straight line, his hands squeeze the cloth. He’s gonna cry, or kill Baekhyun, or do both, he doesn’t know yet. And Baekhyun conveniently runs right into the danger zone.

- Babe, don’t cry. Please don’t cry. I’ll catch them, I promise. Can you just stay here for a second in the bathroom? Can you do that? No need to get you more   stressed out than you already are, ok? – his mate tries to ease the situation a little bit with one of his best smiles, sensing the near explosion.

- Get me stressed more? Is there more that they’ve done?

- Uh, babe, calm down, you know they’re still running around, right? I’m gonna…

- Baekhyun!

- What?!

- I’m gonna cry…

- I know… shh don’t cry.

He snuggles into Baekhyun’s chest and sniffs a little bit while being led to sit on top of the toilet. He gets a quick peck on the cheek and a pat of pretty hands on his head before he’s left alone. The door closes and he hears strong voice demanding for the boys to come back right now and he smiles. Baekhyun can be an but he’s always there when he needs him. He wipes the stray tear of his face and looks to the opening door to see Tao and Sehun, holding each other’s tiny hands, with their cute faces worried. Behind them stands Baekhyun, kids’ boots in hands and a cheeky smile on his lips. The boys start walking shyly in Kyungsoo’s direction like they’re trying to asses the level of trouble they’re in. They stop right in front of him and Sehun speaks with his little fist near his lips.

- Daddy, are you mad? – he gets shoved from behind by Tao and grimaces a little before saying: We’re sorry…

- Dad, don’t be mad we were just playing. – says Tao trying to climb on Kyungsoo’s lap and dragging Sehun behind him. They throw their little arms around his neck and that’s the point where all the anger escapes his body. He squeezes them in a hug and laughs a little.

- It’s fine, it’s just a dirty floor. We can deal with it quickly, right?

- Yes! – the boys yell in unison making their parents laugh. Kyungsoo puts them on their feet and leads them in the direction of kitchen to make them something warm before they get a cold.

- Baek can you go get them clean clothes? – he turns to the other man

- Sure thing.

Kyungsoo smiles lightly and turns with an intentions of following the boys but gets stopped by his mate. He feels arms wrapping themselves around him from behind.

- You know, it isn’t healthy to get angry just because some stupid floor got dirty. They’re four, they’re gonna make a mess all the time. You’re going to end up with a heart attack soon, Soo. – Kyungsoo hears a worried sentence said in a cheerful voice. So typical, hiding his worries behind humor.

- Well, then you have to make sure I won’t get angry right?

- … You’re evil, you know that?

- Yep, now go get those clothes, will you?

- Yeah, yeah… - They both smile as they walk in different directions
