Amber’s POV

I park my car at the usual spot and take a glance at the rear mirror to see if the kids are awake or not. I let out a chuckle at their sleeping face “so cute..” I thought. After turned the car off, I go out and open the back door to wake up the kids

“Jungsoo-ah.. Sooyun-ah.. wake up.. we’re here already…”

They just stirred a bit and mumbled some words that even I don’t understand

“Yah.. Big boy.. Little princess.. wake up..” I try again while shaking their body

Finally, the older boy wake up and with his sleepy face rubbed his eyes with his hand and said “five more minutes daddy..” while showed me his five little fingers. I just chuckle and ruffled his hair

“Yah! do you want to make mommy wait?”

At this, Jungsoo open his eyes wide and shout “Mommy!”

I smiled “Yeah, we want to see mommy, right? Now wake up and get out of the car, I will wake your little sister” then Jungsoo, finally fully awake hop off the car while I trying to wake this little princess up

“Little princess? Sooyun-ah.. come on wake up, you want to see mommy right? Wakey wakey..” I playfully pinch her nose and cheek but she crunched her eyebrows while still closing her eyes and just slap my hand away, “Owch.. like mother like daughter.. you really like your mother when you are sleeping little princess..” I smiled then picked up Sooyun and carry her in my arm.

I close the door and lock the car while Jungsoo already tugging at my shirt and whined “daddy quick daddy quickkkk dadddyyyy”

“Wait a second big boy” after the ‘click’ sound at the car I turned to him and ruffle his hair “Now I’m done, let’s go, you lead the way to mommy’s room okay?”

“Okay sergeant daddy” he give me a salute and run to his mommy’s room’s direction. I following him from behind while occasionally yell “Jungsoo don’t get lost” or “Jungsoo don’t run too fast, you can fall you know” while carrying a sleeping Sooyun on my arm

While watching Jungsoo so excited at his mission to lead the way to his mommy’s room I can’t help but take a look at my surrounding, white floor, a long corridor with many rooms at each side, people with white clothes walking here and there, the smell of medicine, and a little park at the right side not far from this corridor. From here I can see that park, with many people trying hard to live, to feel the wind and sunlight again and the people in white clothes come again, helping those people to stay alive, or at least give them the spirit to try to stay alive.

I hope you can see this.. sunlight.. wind.. I hope we can see sunrise and sunset together again..

“Daddy, where is this?”

While I’m still in my deep thought, Sooyun’s voice bring me back to reality “Oh, are you awake little princess? Did I wake you?”

“No, daddy, where’s mommy?” she said while cutely rubbed her sleepy eyes

“Mommy is –“

“Daddy! Mission complete!” Jungsoo come running to me while saluting to me all the way

“Good job private boy!” I playfully grinning at him and salute back “Now, go see mommy and say hi with your sister, okay?” I said while kiss Sooyun’s cheek and put her down to let her join her oppa who already drag her to see their mommy “Oppa, wait! Slow down!” I can hear Sooyun whine. I let out a chuckle and start walking toward that room too. I stopped at the front of a white door, a door that I never want to see, my hand reach out to the doorknob

“Amber….”

My grab on the doorknob tightened. I close my eyes and take a deep breath before finally open the door and see the kids chatting happily to their mommy, telling her story and bickering to get their mommy attention. They are so cute. You would have scold them thought if you see them bickering like this, then I will come to rescue them and you will scold us together. But at the end, you would always smile at us and kissed us at our cheek and everything turned out to be okay. I hope those days would come again.

After the kids done with their story telling, I told them to play at the park and wait for me there, but before they got out, Jungsoo turned to me and playfully said “Daddy, don’t do naughty thing with mommy here” and stuck his tongue out

“YAH! WHO TEACH YOU THAT!?” I blushing and yelled at him at the same time but he already run out with his sister to the park. Seriously, these kids hang out too much with Yuri, I’ll make sure to give her a piece of my mind later.

After calmed down, I sat beside her and take a good look at her. She looks paler and thinner. I her hair, her long black-brown hair, then my hand find its way to her face, I run my fingers to her forehead, her eyebrows, her closed eyes, her nose, her cheek, and finally her lips. I closed my eyes, trying to remember all the feelings,  her smiles, her laugh, her pouting face, her annoyed face, her bored face, her happy face, her sad face, her glare, her everything. I let out a chuckle and continue stare at her while her hair

“Yah, when will you wake up? Stop being such a  princess will you? Who do you think you are, huh? Snow white? I know I always call you princess but it doesn’t mean you should act like this you know..

Well, if you really like to act like Snow White…

Should I be the prince and kiss you to wake you up? hehe” I said while grinning from ear to ear and wriggling my eyebrows

but no response, you just laying there, sleeping

My grin immediately turned into a sad smile “Ahh.. I shouldn’t do things like this, no wonder Jungsoo told me not to do naughty things here.”

I continue to her hair “It’s been a year after your coma state, Jungsoo is eight years old and Sooyun is six now. Jungsoo is become handsome and charming like me hehe and Sooyun.. she’s such a princess like you..”

Silence..

“We miss you… all of us.. Our family... The boys.. The girls.. Jungsoo and Sooyun.. and Me.. We miss you..”

I can feel a tear start to forming at my eyes, I stop her hair and grip her bed sheet at her side with both of my hands

“Just come back to us already..”

Now the tears falling from my eyes

“Soojung-ah…”

So this is the first chapter, for those who read Serenade before this, the first chapter actually the same with Serenade's with some modification here and there lol. Hope you still enjoy this haha
