Its 20 minutes passed midnight, Yonghwa looked around at the almost empty park confused, he felt his head, trying to jug memory but failed. He has been in that park for over 30 minutes and he still does not remember a thing. Frustrated, he walk at the nearby train station, an odd feeling has been going around his stomach, aside from his lost memory, he knew he has to search something but he can’t point a finger on it.

As he wander around the train station, the woman that passed him by dropped her wallet, he hurriedly pick it up and chased her.

“Excuse me miss” she turned as he called her “I think this belongs to you” he said as he handed the wallet to her

“OMO! Thank you!” she bowed to him “I don’t know what to do if I lose it.” She said grateful, she studied the young man in front of him, he looks like early 20’s to her “I’m Ji Hyun. You?” she extends a handshake

While reaching out for her hand, his forehead creased, he felt the name has an odd familiarity in it “I’m…” he tries to remember his name “I don’t know, I can’t remember a thing” he informed

Shocked and concerned she answered “Look, I’m in a rush right now for my work, can you tag along?” she asked

Without much choice, he nodded a small smile spread on his handsome face “You’re the only one I know as of the moment.”

She nodded and led the way to a convenience store nearby. She rushed to change for her uniform after she instructed him to sit and wait for a while.

While working, she chatted with him, she gave him the address of the nearest police station “Go there, it seems like you have a loved one who might report that you’re missing.” She said pointing at his ring

He looked at the ring and for some reason, his confused mind went at ease while staring at it. A smile adorned his face “Yeah, you’re right” he stood and left after thanking her

“I’ve already uploaded your picture and descriptions in our data list, it is visible all over Korea now. Don’t worry too much.” He tapped his shoulder.

Yonghwa studied the man and on instinct he asked suddenly “Do you have a wife?”

The policeman laughed, slightly surprised but answered “I have none” he wagged his ring less hands

“Girlfriend?” Yonghwa asked again, somehow he felt that this guy and the girl earlier are meant for each other. He can’t explain it even to himself but the strong feeling made him ask questions unknowingly.

Officer Jungsoo shook his head “Let’s have a bite. It seems like you’re hungry” he put his arm on Yonghwa’s shoulder and dragged him outside the police station

“I knew a girl earlier, she was the one who gave me directions. I think we can eat there” Yonghwa suggested. He wanted them to meet, his instincts told him they’d like each other. The officer agreed.

Yonghwa pushed the glass door and greeted Ji Hyun. He introduced the two and as expected, their is too strong he felt it through the air, they are attracted to each other. He felt a sense of fulfillment as he saw them smile shyly and in a little while they became at ease and chatted, exchanged numbers and promised to keep in contact.

SME has been busy preparing for a press conference. They called all the major TV stations in Korea and invited reporters.

Seohyun was pacing around the waiting room anxiously while her unnies console her. But contrary to what they assumed, she is not worried about the press conference, her mind is wandering to where Yonghwa is. She is worried of what might have happened to him. “Yong” she called loudly while looking up. She saw her unnies shared a confused look. “Yong!” she tried again but nothing happened “Maybe he doesn’t want to appear in front of my unnies” she appeased herself and looked at each of them directly to their eyes. She needs to be honest, they need to know. She contemplated the thought for several minutes until she decided to tell them.

“Unnie” she started “Do you believe in magic?” she saw them smile as though they were trying to tolerate her silliness

“Seohyun-ah” Taeyeon ran her fingers through her hair “This is not the time for talking about magic or fairy tales” she said tenderly

“No, this is the time. I need to know if you believe in those kinds of things” she told them, she saw some shook their heads “I’m not going nuts unnie, it’s true.”

“Well maybe I do” Hyoyeon said “I used to be, until I realized magic doesn’t exist” her unnies nodded in agreement

“Fair enough, I used to be like that.” Seohyun answered “Until Yonghwa came along” she finished

“Oh, I get it!” Tiffany clapped her hands “The magic of love”

“Oh that.” Yuri exclaimed “Yeah love is like magic” she smiled dreamily

“Well, that and more. Yonghwa is a Cupid, he was sent for me. He was assigned to find me a perfect pair” she told them

She heard them chuckled thinking that she was kidding them, but as they look at her serious face it started to cease

“Chungmal?!” Yoona exclaimed her eyes bulging in disbelief. Seohyun nodded and she saw them in awe

“I’m going to call him, so please brace yourselves” she stood and started calling his name “Yong! Yong Oppa! It’s alright to show yourself, I already told my unnies about you. Oppa!” she yelled

A swirl of pink light came in view to her unnies’ astonishment, but who came in view was not the one expected. Seohyun gave her a confused look “Where is Yonghwa oppa?” she asked frantically

Cupid Shin Hye sighed and studied each faces before she answered “Don’t worry, Yonghwa oppa is fine.”

“So what exactly did you do to him?” she asked again now in the verge of panic

“The elders has come to the consensus that Yonghwa has lost his way, so they’ve sent him to the path towards following his destiny”

“You know what this Cupid speech is not really working for me, I need straight answers” Seohyun said in a controlled voice. This is what she feared the most

“They erased his memory, placed him back on Earth as a mortal, somewhere you’ll never find him.” Shin Hye informed. Seohyun froze, she felt like crying but no tears fell from her eyes, it was as if her tear ducts went dry.
