Chapter 2: Oh. My. Goodness. This fic is absolutely amazing. To be fair, I had already expected something so beautiful to come out of this fic after I had read your description, and it certainly reached my expectations.
I'm sure by now that the majority of the readers preferred your first ending, and I have to agree since I really love stories that end with leaving the reader to make their own ending.

Also, can I just say, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS A HYUK STORY. OMG HE'S BEEN MY BIAS EVER SINCE I HEARD VIXX FROM THE HYDE ERA AND IT'S SERIOUSLY SUCH A STRUGGLE TRYING TO FIND MORE HYUK FICS THAT KEEP MY INTEREST. (he's seriously underrated in his group T^T he needs some more love)

Chapter 2: I like the original ending, especially with the somber feel you had going on in your story. And while the alternative ending was more hopeful, more of Hyuk having an epiphany of sorts, especially after his near death experience, I still feel the first one works better. It left more of an impression on me than the second ending. However, the pacing and writing style of your fic was wonderful and really set the mood and tone of the story. Loved the language and imagery that you used, very powerful. Overall, it was very well written.

Chapter 1: OH my this was so terribly sad. The wording you used made it feel like it was myself that was hurting like that! You've so perfectly captured the numb pain that accompanies the death of someone you love; it's not an easy thing to go through. I so loved this that I am almost hesitant to read the alternate ending... it was so perfect as it is! 0.o
My favorite part... "Death treated everyone equally. " <-- so, so true. It's not a matter of what's fair and what's not right, it doesn't discriminate between who's ready and who isn't. *cries*

It was good to do two endings because i think the first part left so much to imagination. He could've died. He could've lived. Poor Hyuk though
