Dara Park had been suffering with adrenocortical carcinoma , or to put it into simpler terms; adrenal cortex cancer since she was just a kid. But serious symptoms didn't show up until she turned 21. The doctors had given her twelve years to live, but miracles work in strange ways.
Kwon Jiyong had noticed Dara's absence on their recent planned dates. Too blinded by his own thoughts, he assumed the worst. But he was oblivious to Dara's sickness.

Foreword

"Aren't they great Darayah, omma helped me pick them out!" Jiyong opened his palm to reveal two couple rings, and smiled shyly at Dara's surprised reaction.
Dara nodded and put hers on. "But.. didn't they cost you a lot? You didn't have to do this you know.."
Jiyong shook his head, and slipped his ring on his finger too. "That doesn't matter... it only matters that now the world can see that you belong to somebody.."
The two held up their hands besides eachother and marveled at the sight.
Dara was right. It had costed Jiyong's entire salary this month. But with Dara's smile it was worth it.
Jiyong pulled out his cellphone and snapped a picture of their two hands, now newly adorned with matching rings.
