The year was 2001.

The year she died was the year 2001. 

September 11, 2001 to be exact.

The last time I saw her was well....never.

I was visually impaired ever since my youth days, but the girl I loved never cared for such a thing.

Her beauty from within was what I saw. I felt it in the gut and heart.

But that was when I had to let her go for a while......

She went after four years to meet her parents once again.

She went by airplane....The airplane that was involved in the incident of 9/11.

I couldn't see her for the first time I met her nor the last....

I am Kim Jongin. I am 48 years old and now finally, I can open my eyes and experience the different colors of the rainbow after nearly 48 years of total darkness.  And I will go back in time to the year of 2001, the year I was 18 amd she was 17, the year I couldn't see her for the very last time, the year my heart crashed, the year my tears finally dropped after so long, the year she died within a flash before her life flashed before her very eyes. This is the year I must go back to in order to meet my girlfriend once more....before she dies...
