All Over You
[Author’s POV]
“Goodmorning class. From today forward, I will be your homeroom teacher. My name is Park Kahi, you can just call me ms. Kahi. I hope this class will do good” juniors 3-C homeroom teacher, Kahi, wrote her name on the whiteboard & faced her students with her arms crossed
“Now I want you to introduce yourselves one by one. Stand up from your seats & speak loud. Your name, hobbies, or whatever” Kahi looked at everyone inside the class, from the front to the farthest back seats
“Front right seat please begin” Kahi nodded to the students sitting at her front right seat
Various students introduced themselves in many unique ways, some trying to seek attention & some trying to be class clown. But Nana paid not much attention to them as she doesn’t find that much interest in her classmates. Lizzy also, she put on a poker face fiddling with her own hair with her chin resting on her hand
Until the turn comes up for Lizzy to introduce herself. Sitting on the middle back with Nana, the other students sitting in the front turned their backs to see the two, paying full attention
“Uhh.. Hi, my name’s Park Sooyoung you can call me Lizzy I’m a Busan girl?” Lizzy stood up nervously showing an awkward face to the rest of the class
She heard some students snicker at the way she introduced herself, but Lizzy rolled her eyes & ended it with a slight bow.
Then next, is the potential class star. Boys are already so looking forward to Nana when Nana stands up, with an uninterested expression on her face
“Hi my name is Im Jin Ah call me Nana thanks” Nana immediately sat back down
Nana killed the whole class, giving the class an icy first impression. Gaining disliking glares from the girls & disappointed looks from the boys, turning them all down in a single blow. If you’re about to count that introduction, she only spoke for 3 seconds. Even Lizzy’s mouth is hung open at how quick Nana introduced herself, & how uninterested Nana looks
Lizzy wanted to ask Nana what’s up, but her question feels as if it’s stuck inside so she decided to ask it later. After a whole lot other introductions, Kahi gave all the students a blank white paper
“Let me know what your dreams are. Write it down honest” Kahi asked the class & everyone took out their stationeries, eagerly writing down their dreams
Meanwhile for Nana, she already got a pencil in her hand but she just looked blankly at the paper. Noticing this, Lizzy exhaled & patted Nana’s shoulder
“What’s wrong with you, Nana-ya?” ask Lizzy concerned
Nana then gave a smile on the paper
“Nothing’s wrong, Liz” Nana replied without looking back at Lizzy & start writing her honest dream
Nana looked proud & sincere, telling from her smile. Curious, Lizzy took a sneak peek at Nana’s paper to see what she wrote down
TO BE A SUPERMODEL
Lizzy smiled at her bestfriend knowing that. She remembered when they were still young, Nana has always wanted to be a supermodel. She want to appear in a lot of magazines & in tv, want peoples to know her. Lizzy knows Nana’s passionate, Lizzy somehow felt happy Nana’s still dreaming the same dream. But what makes her sad is how narrow the chance is for Nana to reach her dream due to her parents, typical yes? Unfortunately that’s what Nana’s going through with. She never even has the chance to take a learning of being a model. Not because she’s not allowed to be one, but because her parents protects her too much.
“Why are you smiling..?” Nana snapped Lizzy out of her thoughts
“N-no, nothing!” Lizzy grinned awkwardly & tried to divert her attention
“What did you write Liz?” Nana asked Lizzy with a smile. Lizzy somehow knows Nana’s happy now & she’s glad
“The same thing” Lizzy showed Nana her paper
“Idol. I guess we’re still on the same track, we never change” Nana raised her shoulder & then both girls gave the paper to Kahi
But, there is something in Lizzy’s mind. Helping Nana to make a progress for her dream. Lizzy just doesn’t know how. It’s impossible to convince her parents, it could risk their friendship Nana once said. Lizzy wanted the best for Nana, she doesn’t want to be the only one making a progress for her dream, she wants to see Nana becoming a supermodel in the future. But how? Lizzy doesn’t have the slightest clue, the slightest way of helping her bestfriend
There are times when the brunette feels useless, but Nana always put that thought away from Lizzy & remind her how blessed she is having the brunette on her side.
Lizzy doesn’t want to see Nana’s passion go off….
Lizzy decided to dismiss the thought for a while & spend the day with Nana. Then Kahi asked the students to fill in the extracurricular form & that all students MUST pick at least one extracurricular activity
“Oh there are a lot of nice options!” Lizzy said, cheerful when she saw the options
“What are you gonna join, Liz?” ask Nana tapping on her chin cutely
“Dance obviously!” Lizzy filled in the form enthusiastically, then showing a wide grin
“I’ll go with you” Nana checked the same as Lizzy
“What? There’s a modeling extracurricular Nana. You don’t have to always follow me around” Lizzy complained
“Huh? It’s not that. I hear modeling always got called off because the lack of interest from the students. Besides I liked dance too” Nana told her reason
“Really? Well that ..” Lizzy exhaled from her nose
After the day’s done, Lizzy & Nana hangs out on the school’s front gate for a bit. They usually just sit on the stairs looking at other students getting picked up, talking about many random things.
“So flat..” Nana said out of the blue
“What?” Lizzy turned to Nana
“I feel so flat today. It if it’s like this everyday” Nana pouted looking straight
Nana-ya... I’m sorry I can’t do much Lizzy thought sadly
“I’m gonna go to the toilet for a bit. Will you wait for me?” said Nana
“Yeah, sure take your time” Lizzy smiled back at the blonde. Thinking of Nana hurts her head, as in thinking in a friendly way. She wanted to help but she couldn’t, who liked that feeling? If only there’s a way, there’s a chance somehow
Lizzy takes out her cellphone & plays a game waiting for Nana
“Jooyeonnie~ It ! Modeling got called off again, we’re only running low on 1 member left!! Can you believe that?!” said a loud, whining voice from meters beside Lizzy
“You always are unlucky, Uee. Anyways, at least you got to join basketball. Your height is promising” said another voice responding to the earlier one
“Geez, I could’ve picked swimming as my 2nd option. But it also got called off.. Urgh! If only there are more students in this school” the first girl groaned in frustration
“My poor, poor friend..” the second girl teased
“Will you at once say something better, Joo” whine the first girl
“Oh are you saying I’m supposed to lie?”
What? Lizzy asked on her thought after unintentionally listened to the conversation
Running low on 1 member????? If only Nana— Lizzy screamed inside her mind
Wanting to know more from the conversation, Lizzy looked up from her cellphone to see who they are
That’s Kim Yoojin & Lee Jooyeon unnie. The famous seniors Lizzy said inside her thought
Could this be..? Lizzy narrowed her eyes, devising something with what she just got
I forgot Yoojin unnie loves modeling too. And I know Jooyeon unnie pretty well, we’ve been in the same dance class. This could be it! Lizzy grinned by herself
“Lizzy-ah?” a familiar voice called Lizzy’s name
“H-huh..?” Lizzy got distracted & turned to the voice’s direction
“Why are you grinning like that earlier?” the other brunette asked with a teasing smile
“Ah, J-Jooyeon unnie.. You surprised me” Lizzy exhaled, patting her chest
“Am I that scary?” Jooyeon raised her eyebrows
Lizzy looked everywhere around Jooyeon but got no signs of Uee
“What? Who are you looking for?” Jooyeon bent down following Lizzy’s face, blocking her from actually looking
“No, nothing unnie. Are you joining dance extracurricular?” Lizzy shifted her eyes to Jooyeon
“Obviously! You in too right?” Jooyeon’s eyes glimmered at just the word dance
“Yes!” the brunettes high-fived when Nana came back & interrupted them
“Oh is this a friend of yours, Lizzy-ah?” Jooyeon turned to Nana, observing her from head to toe
“Yeah. Nana this is Jooyeon unnie, Jooyeon unnie meet my bestie Nana” Lizzy stood between them
“Unnie?” Nana asked, she doesn’t know that many people around school
“Well if you don’t know yet I’m two grades above you girls. That makes me a senior grader, one building but the senior's classes & the junior's are from edge to edge” Jooyeon shook hands with Nana, introducing each other
“It’s nice knowing you. I’ll be off now, you girls take care on your way home” Jooyeon walked away & waved at them
I guess Uee unnie already got home Lizzy disappointedly thought But at least I got the key Lizzy added
“Shall we go home then? I think you’ve been zoning out a lot today Liz, no fun you’re such a zombie today” Nana whined like a little girl
“I just need some sleep. Let’s go!” Lizzy grabbed Nana’s hand & walked out of school grounds with a happy face
I hope this is just what I need to help my bestfriend. I won’t let her passion be in vain
