New Classmate

Falling In Love With A Panda

It was one of those days when Sehun was in lesson, sitting there day dreaming. Their teacher was not here yet, so the class was quite noisy, chit chatting everywhere. The door suddenly opened, Ms. Chan walked in the room.

“Good morning class,” Ms. Chan greeted her students.

“Good morning Ms. Chan,” the class replied.

“Today we will have a new student joining our class, please be nice to him!” Ms. Chan surprised everyone.

Then a not-so-tall boy, actually quite tall boy walked into the room. His hair was blonde, his nose was sharp. His pink and kiss-able lips, and his eyes.

“H-hello, I am Huang Zitao, but you can all call me Tao. I come from Qingdao all the way in China,” the panda like boy introduced himself.

The girls in the class were all fangirling like crazy, Tao was really handsome to them.

“Tell us a fact about you,” one of the fangirls asked.

“Um… I’m allergic to peanut butter!” Tao replied shyly.

Most of the girls in the class made a mental note that if they wanted to ever give Tao a lunch they couldn’t give him anything peanut butter related.

“Tao, you can sit over there in the vacant seat next to Sehun,” Ms Chan said.

“Thank you,” Tao replied and started walking towards the table.

“H-hi,” Tao said,” you’re Sehun right?”

Sehun woke up only to find a panda like boy staring at him, he believed that this was the new student.

“Uh, yea,” Sehun simply complained.

During lunch break, their classroom was crowded as always because each and every fangirl wanted to give Sehun their “homemade” lunch.

Tao was amazed at how many lunch boxes there were on Sehun’s table, Sehun just smirked looking at Tao’s shocked reaction.

“This is just a normal day,” Sehun muttered, “in some occasions there would be more.”

“Really! That is daebaek!” Tao exclaimed, “But why don’t you eat?”

“I’m not hungry, you can take some if you want,” Sehun replied.

“Thank you!” Tao said cheerfully.

Tao was in fact starving, but he didn’t really know where the canteen was so he just decided to stay in class. But now that someone had offer him free lunch how could he deny it?

Tao was so hungry he just decided to take the first box which was on top of all the others. It was a sandwich! He didn’t hesitate and took a bite, but as he swallowed the first bite, he noticed something was wrong.

“IS THIS PEAN-,” Tao chocked.

Sehun turned around looking at the pale chocking boy, he didn’t know what was happening at first but then realized that Tao ate a peanut butter sandwich.

“Tao, did you just eat peanut butter?” Sehun asked, somewhat amused.

Tao nodded, he couldn’t speak. He tried to get the medicine out of his bag, but failed to as he fell off his chair to the ground. He was shaking and trembling.

Sehun noticed a rather loud thud and saw the new student lying on the floor shaking and trembling.

“H-help me,” Tao squealed and out.

When Tao woke up, he was in a really big and comfy bed. He looked around and saw luxurious decorations, he had no idea where he was, until Sehun and a doctor looking man walked in.

“Tao, you woke up?” Sehun asked.

“Y-yea,” Tao replied, “where am I?”

“This is the guestroom at my house, and here is my personal doctor, he will be helping you,” Sehun answered.

Sehun’s personal doctor checked if Tao was okay, and he soon left when he decided that Tao was already back to normal.

“T-thank you,” Tao said. He tried to get out of bed but was stopped by Sehun.

“Where are you going?” Sehun asked.

“S-since now I am feeling better, I think I should go now,” Tao replied. It was then till he had a close look at Sehun’s facial appearance. He was very handsome, and Tao really like handsome guys.

“You can stay here for the night,” Sehun said, “this is somewhat my fault too, I shouldn’t have given you my lunchboxes.”

Tao didn’t know what to do, he believed that he had fallen for this boy.

“Just call me if anything happens during the night okay? It is pretty late already,” Sehun said.

That was when Tao looked at the clock realizing how late it was already.

“I’m just in that room across this one,” Sehun said, “Good night Tao.”

“Goodnight,” Tao replied.

Tao was never really able to sleep if he wasn’t home in his own comfy one. Well he could, but he would need warmth and something to cuddle on. But right now, he was lacking both, Tao couldn’t sleep.

Then he heard tapping sounds at the window, Tao was really scared. He was already scared sleeping alone in the dark, and now there were tapping sounds coming from the window… He ran out of the room and rushed into the room directly across the guestroom.

Sehun was just about to fall asleep when he heard a loud bang and his door opened. He looked at the figure, it was Tao. But he looked like he was fragile and vulnerable, there were tears in Tao’s eyes.

“Tao, what is the problem?” Sehun asked, “Shouldn’t you be sleeping by now?”

“I-I… I’m scared…” Tao whispered, it was barely audible but Sehun still managed to catch it.

Tao couldn’t help but to cry, he was really scared. He didn’t have warmth, he didn’t have his panda plushie to hug on. Then he felt arms embrace him.

Sehun walked over to the broken Tao that sat on the floor crying, he didn’t know what to do, but he decided to wrap his arms around him to comfort Tao.

When Tao felt arms wrapped around him, he instantly hugged him back. It was like a little child finding his lost parents again. Tao cried harder and harder, both Sehun and Tao were really exhausted by now.

Soon, Tao managed to fall asleep in Sehun’s embrace. Sehun slowly carried Tao up and put him on his bed, and he himself snuggled in too.

The next morning, Tao woke up and was greeted by Sehun’s peaceful sleeping face. He blushed instantly as he saw how short the distance was between them. Wasn’t he supposed to be in the guestroom? Why is he sleeping next to Sehun right now?

Sehun woke up and looked up at Tao which was staring at him.

“Good morning Tao,” Sehun said, “are you feeling any better?”

“Y-yes,” Tao replied.

They were ready to go to school, Tao wearing Sehun’s slightly tight uniform as he did not bring spare uniform to school. Only now did Tao know that Sehun lived in a rich family, they were picked up by a limousine.

The ride was quiet, and they soon arrived at school.

The moment the black limousine stopped at the school’s front gate, a huge amount of girls hurried themselves around the car.

Sehun walked out of the limousine with 4 body guards protecting him, he started walking towards the classroom. There was a huge group of girls which followed him to his classroom.

Tao went out of the car when he saw Sehun and the group of girls leave. He sighed: Tao, he doesn’t even notice you. He was just pitying you yesterday, he will never like you.

Tao slowly made his way to the now crowed classroom and got to his seat. By now the group of girls got smaller as it was nearly start of lesson, he saw the amount of chocolate on Sehun’s table.

“Wow, you are really popular,” Tao complimented.

“Yea, I have to agree with you,” Sehun agreed.

“They why don’t you have a girlfriend?” asked Tao.

Sehun blushed at the question and the mention of “girlfriend. Sehun was never into girls that much, he found guys rather attractive.

“Um… I don’t find girls attractive,” Sehun stated.

“Then do you find boys attractive?” Tao curiously asked.

“Yea… Well sometimes,” said Sehun.

Tao couldn’t believe what Sehun had just told him, his crush was gay? He found guys attractive?

It was their last lesson of the day and it was PE, the subject that Sehun was always number 1 at. Their unit was currently swimming, and it was a relief for Sehun that the girls didn’t swim with the boys.

The boys were in the changing room, changing into their swimming trunks. That was when Sehun noticed for the first time Tao wasn’t anywhere to be seen. He had forgotten about that boy as soon as school started. Tao suddenly came out of the changing room stall and was dressed in his tight swim trunks. Sehun couldn’t help but to stare at Tao’s fit body. His arms were muscular and he had visible abs.

“I never knew you would have such a good body,” Baekhyun smirked.

Tao blushed as everyone in the changing room started to look at him.

“Baek, I’m so going to tell ChenChen after swimming class,” Kyungsoo said.

All of the boys were in the swimming pool, not necessarily mucking around, but it looked like they were.

The teacher blew the whistle.

“Okay boys, today you will be tested on your speed,” Mr Wu said, “First I want you guys to pair up with a partner.”

Sehun would have always went to find Jongin as his partner, but knowing Jongin had just manage to get into a relationship with Kyungsoo, he decided to find another partner. It seemed like everyone was occupied, so Sehun decided to stand by the edge of the pool waiting for the remaining one without a partner.

Tao walked over to Sehun and nudged him by the elbow.

“Sehunnie, do you have a partner?” Tao asked.

Sehun flushed for a bit when Tao called him “Sehunnie”.

“No I don’t have a partner,” Sehun replied.

“Do you want to be my partner?” Tao asked.

“Sure,” Sehun said.

Mr Wu made the class swim laps and everyone was more than exhausted afterwards. They ended with a competition to see who the fastest swimmer in their class was. Sehun was the fastest swimmer… Before Tao entered their class. Tao shocked everyone with his speed of swimming, they described him as the speed of light.

When all the boys were changed, it was time for them to go home. It was raining and Tao forgot to bring an umbrella, so he decided to make a run for it. His house was actually quite far away from the school, but the rain didn’t look like it would stop any second so Tao just decided to run back home.

Tao lived alone and was soaking wet. It was a wrong choice running from school back home, Tao was pretty sure that he would be sick and catch a cold.

That night Tao had a fever, a really high one. His head ached like hell and he did not know what to do as he was rarely sick and even if he was he would know where to find a doctor. But this was Korea and not China, he did not know where the doctors would be. He decided to phone his mom. He picked up his phone, he didn’t even look at it and tapped on the first number possible… Which was not his mom for sure.

“Mama, your TaoTao is sick,” Tao said over the phone.

Sehun heard his phone ring in the middle of the night, he picked it up and heard an extremely tired sounding Tao.

“Mama, are you there?” Tao asked again.

“Um… Tao are you okay? Did you get sick?” Sehun replied, “I’m Sehun not your omma…”

“O-oh, I’m so sorry Sehunnie, I thought I called my mama,” Tao said, “Um…Bye.”

“W-wait, Tao?” Sehun asked.

“W-what?”

“You don’t sound okay… Are you by chance sick?”

Tao started to cough and sneeze, “I-I’m fine, go to sleep Sehunnie.”

“No, I am coming over to find you,” Sehun firmly stated.

After probably 10 minutes time, Sehun was at the door of Tao’s house and he rang the bell.

The door opened slowly and Sehun saw Tao wrapped in many blankets with a nose as red as Rudolph’s nose.

Sehun tucked Tao in his bed and reheated the pre-made congee made by his chief. Sehun walked in to the room and woke Tao up.

“Tao, eat this first,” Sehun put the tray with the congee on top in front of Tao.

“B-but I don’t want to eat,” Tao said, “and my hands feel weak.”

“I can feed you,” Sehun said confidently, “now open up your mouth.

Tao reluctantly opened his mouth as Sehun kept spooning the congee in Tao’s mouth. Tao managed to finish the congee and Sehun took out the medicine.

“Tao, here you need to the medicine,” Sehun stated.

“I-I don’t like medicine,” Tao replied, “they are bitter,” Tao whined a bit more.

“But you need it, or else your fever won’t get better.”

“F-fine, but you must buy me candy.”

“Okay.”

After Tao had taken the medicine, he fell asleep and Sehun decided that it was too late to go back home and that he would stay here for the night. He remembered how Tao whined like a little child and he thought it was really cute.

The next morning Tao woke up and saw Sehun sitting on the chair asleep. It was then did he remember what happened yesterday. He left his bed and went to the washroom and got himself sorted before he decided to make breakfast.

Sehun woke up upon the smell and sound of bacon. He looked around realizing that Tao wasn’t in bed anymore, but he was in the kitchen happily cooking breakfast.

“Sehunnie, is Bacon and Egg okay?”

“Y-yea.”

When they were sitting on the chair eating the breakfast made my Tao, which was delicious. Sehun could feel the awkward aura around them.

“Um… Yesterday… Thank you,” Tao said.

“It’s okay… At least you’re feeling better now,” Sehun replied.
