That day, Yoona said to herself, everytime she see tears, that means that person is hurt. But every people had a shield, and for her it’s Jessica. And she also wants to be shield for her beloved sister.

“Yoongie!” a voice snapped Yoona out from her deep thoughts. She turned her head to the direction of the sound and found her sister staring at her confusely.

“Ne?” Yoona asked as confuse as Jessica with a blank mixed with surprised expresion, which is cute in Jessica’s eyes. Jessica gigled quietly before ruffling the younger’s hair.

“You seems in a deep thought. By the way, don’t fall on the same knee again… the scartch might get wider,” Jessica said as she putted the first-aid kid away. Yoona looked down to her left knee absentmindly, she wiggled her knee slightly and nodded with a grin.

“Okie-dokie!” she cheered. Jessica gave her a warm smile before slumping herself on the couch beside Yoona. Waste no more time, Yoona crawled to her sister’s laps immediately. She sat sideway with her feet on the opposite end of the couch and her head resting on the arm rest. Only her that on Jessica’s laps.

“So Yoongie… have any plan in mind?” Jessica opened up a conversation, she was more determinate to stop this action than before since now Yoona joined the force. Sadly, Yoona shook her head and pouted. Maybe’s she’s just to young to think of a plan.

“Hmm… I know I’ve been asking you this before but… Are you sure you don’t want to leave that school?” Jessica asked, another shook of a head she got. Jessica heaved a sigh as Yoona explained.

“Nooo! I like it there. I like the teacher. Some of them is nice to me, like Soojung and Jinri. I like to play with them in the playground. I don’t want to leave,” Yoona said with a pout. “Besides, there’s a cute fluffy bunny.”

Jessica sinked more to the couch with a pout also.

“What to do? What to do? What to do?” Jessica thought it for herself. Silence invaded the room, Jessica was spacing out and Yoona was watching her sister blankly. About 5 minutes after that, Jessica spoke again, “Yoona… you do know that they’re wrong right?” Yoona nodded. “Therefore, you don’t believe them anymore right?” Yoona nodded again. “So if you don’t believe it, will you still hurt?”

This time, Yoona took time to think. “I don’t know Unnie. If those words still hurtin you, then I’ll be hurt too. But if you don’t, then I don’t.” Yoona said after that. Jessica was touched because Yoona still put her infront of anything else, she couldn’t help it but to pull her sister’s face and pecked both of her cheeck, causing Yoona to giggled.

“Okay fine, ignore those words okay? Don’t smile, don’t grin, if you can, call for a teacher okay?” Jessica tried to presuade Yoona. Yoona frowned at the thought she couldn’t smile, she always want to smile brightly, so she can brighten peoples day. Knowing the fronw on Yoona’s face Jessica quickly added. “Only when they mock you.”

Upon hearing the word ‘only’ Yoona slowly smiled and nodded. She got a playful ruffle on her hair from her sister. “Good girl! Unnie love you.” Jessica said with a warm smile. Yoona hugged her sister on the neck tight before peck on one of Jessica’s cheek.

“Yoona love Unnie too~” Yoona said as she pulled away from Jessica. “Unnie… I want to watch that movie again.. can I?” She asked cutely, her eyes were shinnin, anticipating for Jessica’s answer.

“Sure, I’ll company you. You can go first, I’ll go grab some chips,” Jessica said as she got up, resulting Yoona to jumped off too. Yoona nodded and waste no time to ran upstair. Jessica laughed at her sister’s action, she shook her head lightly as she watched her sister’s glimps dissapear behind the door.

Lazily, Jessica dragged her body to the kitchen and grabbed everything that looked delicious for her and Yoona. In her mind, she’s hoping that this time, it’ll work, maybe those kids will grow tired when Yoona shows no intrest in them. And hopefuly, Yoona can proof them wrong.

Jessica walked really slowly to got upstair and enter the playroom. She noticed that the movie was starting already. She chuckled and putted down the snacks on the table before proceed to sat beside Yoona and enjoy the movie.

It’s the first day to launch their new plan. Yoona already waiting infront of their car, waiting for Jessica. Soon, Jessica came and got to the car with Yoona.

“Yoona, remember what I’ve told you.” Jessica said as soon as the car drove of.

“Ne~ Because I’m a good girl,” Yoona said cutely, using her aegyo voice. Jessica smiled and patted Yoona’s head.

“Right! Now let me get some sleep again,” Jessica leaned her head to the window and closed her eyes. She could hear that Yoona was giggling silently, but she ignore it, she prefer to think about what going to happen in Yoona’s school later. She couldn’t help but to felt worried.

The driver dropped Yoona on her school and Jessica on her school. One girl was on a mission and the other one worried about the mission.

Jessica walked anxioulsy to her room. When she arrived at her room, she opened the door and found Yoona on her bed as usual.

“Hey,” she said as she putted her bag down and welcoming Yoona to her embrace. “So.. how was the plan?” Jessica asked immediately, she’s dead curious  about it. Unexpectly, Yoona giggled and ran to the bed again, jumping to the bed and landed in a sitting position, she patted a spot beside her, gesrturin Jessica to sit there. Jessica obeyed and looked to her sister.

“So….” Yoona started teasingly, she gave a brief second, just to built up Jessica’s curriosity. “You should see their face! It’s hillarious!” Yoona laughed, causing Jessica to laughed to. With Yoona’s answer, she assumed that it’s working well.

“Yah! Tell me!” Jessica demanded, slightly smacking Yoona on the forehead. Yoona giggled again.

“So, when I kept my poker face… they’re clearly confused. But they try again. But I think I’m scaring them because they stopped and made weird faces. You should see that Unnie!” Yoona told shortly.

Jessica smiled at Yoona, indeed she’s really happy. Maybe this time it’ll work. “And, what do they told you today?” Jessica asked, now, that Yoona already knew about Jessica’s feeling about it, and Jessica already told Yoona how to ease the pain, and they’re already agree that this thing shouldn’t hurt them, Jessica braved herself to ask Yoona for the first time.

“I don’t want to tell you that, it’s unnecessary,” Yoona said. Jessica faked a pout, but she couldn’t help but to smile also, she ruffled Yoona’s hair with her hand while the other hand gave Yoona a short side hug.

“That’s my girl! Now… Ice Cream?”

“Yeeess!!!!!!” Yoona cheered upon to hear the word Ice Cream, Yoona jumped down immediately and ran downstair to the kitchen, leaving Jessica behind. Again, Jessica shook her head at Yoona’s behaviour, she moved to the closet to change before proceed to the kitchen.

“Jessi, honey. Come here!” Mr.Jung called her daughter. It was a lovely Saturday morning, so Mr.Jung decided to have a coffe in their backyard while watching his two daughters playing together. Seeing how much Yoona had grew in the past few months, Mr.Jung decided to took Yoona’s intelectual to the next level, of course if Yoona transeferred to another class immediately, she’ll confuse. That’s why he called for Jessica this morning.

Hearing her named had been called, Jessica looked up to her father and nodded slightly, gesturing him to wait for a second. Jessica told Yoona to stay there if she wants to or go to the pond. She left Yoona and went to her father.

“Yes?” Jessica smiled and took a chair between her daddy. Even thouh Jessica was only 11 years old, having a sister like Yoona making her mature, so mature.

“Jessi, can I ask for a favor?”

“Sure what is it?”

“It’s about Yoona…” just with the word ‘Yoona’ Jessica’s ears allerted. Mr.Jung put down his coffee and relaxed in the chair before contunueing his words. “I see she’s been growing well, her grades were good too. My terpahy to her work well. I don’t want her to waste any time again… her semester wil ended next month right? I think it would be good if the next semester she’s not going to the same school anymore and go to the third grade.” Mr.Jung explained.

“But dad, she’ll be shocked by the subject. It’s such a diffrence between kindergarden and third grader. Beside, her school year haven’t ended yet.” Jessica argued, still confused what favor she’ll do to her father.

“I know honey. That’s why for the next 6 months, Yoona will be homeschooling. And… the teacher is you!” Mr.Jung chuckled when he saw Jessica’s expresion.

“Wait… what do you think of me beeing a good teacher?”

“It’s okay. Yoona is smart. Even though you’re not a good teacher or the time is short, she’ll be able to catch up since you’re close to her… the closest I mean. Therefore, there’s no problem.” He expalined further.

“Why beeing the closest even matter?”

“Jessi, will you do it or not?” Mr.Jung spoke the final word.

“Fine… I’ll do it,” Jessica finally agreed. Actualy, she’s happy that she can felp with Yoona’s teraphy and progress, she’s just confused. She nodded her head, but feeling to lazy to get up and tell Yoona what she just heard.

“By the way… you can ask Fany to join you also…” Mr.Jung added as he took his mug back to his mouth. Jessica nodded again.

“Okay then, I’ll call her now… bye dad love you.”

“Love you to honey!” Mr.Jung replied and watched Jessica’s glimps to fade into the house.

“Yoona… this is Tiffany, you can call her Tiff Unnie or Fany Unnie,” Jessica interdouced Yoona to the familiar eye smilling girl. Tiffany streched her arm out, asking for a friendly handshake with Yoona while Yoona still looking directly to Tiffany’s smilling eyes. It seems familiar for Yoona, especialy the name ‘Fany’.

“Hello~ I’m Yoona!” Yoona cheered and took Tiffany’s hand hapily after her brief pondering moments. Both Tiffany and Jessica chuckled at Yoona’s reaction.

Yoona’s semester already ended last week, Jessica already told her that she’ll be her tutor for the next 6 months and surely Yoona was happy about that. She occupied herself with chattering in that topic for almost a week, Jessica could only smile and listen to it. She’s happy if Yoona happy. How ever, this was the first time that Tiffany met with Yoona.

The three girls started their session. To Tiffany’s surprise, Yoona was a really fast learner at least for someone that had brain problems. Yeah, she hear a lot form Jessica about Yoona, like how Yoona always smile, how kind-hearted Yoona is, and she couldn’t help but to agree to her bestfriend.

Eventualy, Jessica needed to take some snacks and go to the bathroom, so Jessica left Tiffany and Yoona alone, thinking that they’ve got along already. While Yoona, she kept one question in her head to ask Tiffany later, maybe now is the right time, she thought.

“Fany Unnie?” Yoona asked.

“Hmmm?” Tiffany who were wearing glasses turned her head slightly facing Yoona. She was expecting for another question from the doe eyes. But what she got quite shocking for her.

“Why do you seems familiar to me?” Yoona asked innocently, now her minds started to think about Tiffany. Where have she met her? Why does her name seems familiar? Yoona can’t think of that a while ago because of her study.

“Huh?” the only word that came from Tiffany’s mouth. Indeed she’s 100% confused by the younger, while the younger one staring blankly to her.

“Oh I remember!” Yoona snapped, “I saw you at the very first day when the words came! You’re the good guy!” Yoona said, more to herself, she proud for herself for remembering who is that ‘Fany’.

Tiffany was more confuse. What words? She’s a good guy? What day? She never met Yoona right? Slightly right, Yoona already met Tiffany before or shall we say see.

Before Tiffany can ask, Jessica appeared. They decided to play for a little while before studying again. And Yoona? When Jessica came, her mind only focused to her. While Tiffany noted herself to ask Jessica about it.

They ended when it’s about 7pm. Mrs.Jung attemped to make Tiffany had dinner at their place and suceed. Tiffany got to know Yoona better and vice versa. They have a lovely warm dinner together, and sice Tiffany don’t have any mom or dongsaeng, she’s really glad.

“Jessi…” Tiffany called out when she and Jessica arrived at the gate. Tiffany’s house only acroos Jessica’s house so she’ll just walk. Yoona was on the house right now, so Tiffany thought it’ll be good if she ask now.

“What?”

“No offense but, what’s up with Yoona? When you’re away earlier, she mention something about words...” Tiffany said hesitately. Jessica was taken a back, she knew that Yoona was blunt, but she never imagine to be this blunt.

“Long story Tiff. I’ll tell you tomorrow. Bye~”

“Bye~”

“Yo Jess! Tell me now! Tell me now!” Tiffany said using a glint of her aegyo. Jessica turned to see her bestfriend joged to her direction lightly. Jessica nodded and gestured Tiffany to sit beside her and started to tell everything. From incident in the living room, neighbor’s and the school.

“Whoa… really? That bad?”

“Yup…” Jessica answered with a sad smile. “But it’s already over anyway.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t know she was there then.” 

“It’s okay… You don’t join them at least,” Jessica said. Tiffan couldn’t help it but to respect the two sister, they’ve through a lot for such an age. Tiffany nodded and pulled Jessica for a side hug.

“By the way, will 6 month of our tutor can catch up 3 years of education?” Tiffan asked, slightly worried.

“Um… I don’t know. But as you see, Yoona is a great kid, and yeah… let’s just have faith in her,” Jessica said, she leaned her head on Tiffany’s shoulder. They were actualy waiting for the bell to ring, but it doesn’t come sooner as they expected. Tiffany nodded again before restin her head on top of Jessica’s head.

“Yeah… you’re right.” Tiffany said. They stayed in silence. For Tiffany, she’s regreting for not stopping them in the first day, she also determinated to help Yoona now. For Jessica, she’s just quiet as usual.

Day by day passed, sayd turned to weeks, weeks turned to months. 6 months have passed even before they know it. Yoona had grew more mature and smarter with the help of her two unnies and also with the help of Mr.Jung’s teraphy.

Yoona already signed into a school, Jessica’s and Tiffany’s school to be exact. At first, Yoona was sad because she had to leave Soojung and Jinri, but after she knew that was Jessica and Tiffany’s school she agreed.

It was the night before Yoona’s first day at the new school, and of course Jessica was nervous as hell. What if they start to make fun of Yoona again? What if it’s physical? What if Yoona will get hurt again? Finaly, she can’t take it anymore, the bad sugestion that flowing to her mind made her somber, she dragged her feet to Yoona’s room and knocked lightly.

“Yes?” Yoona answered from her room. A light steps can be heard moving closer to the door. Yoona opened the door and slightly shocked to see her sister. “Unnie! Why?” Instead of answering Yoona, Jessica choosed to tackled Yoona with her hug. Yoona wrapped her arm around Jessica immediately when Jessica snuggles to her. But to her shock, she heard faint sobs from her sister. “Unnie… whats wrong?” she started to panick.

“I’m scared Yoong… what if they mock you again? What if worst? I don’t want that…” Jessica said afer she calmed down. Yoona smiled and led them to the bed, they sat on the bed when Yoona wiped the tears from her sister’s precious face.

“If you don’t want that to happen… it won’t.” Yoona said calmly, giving a warm smile and a soothing cares on Jessica’s hair. Jessica looked to Yoona’s eyes with her eyebrows raised.

“Why?” Jessica asked slightly confused. But she got a shurged of the shoulder instead of an answer. “Yah you!” Jessica smacked Yoona’s arm lightly, but she giggled eventualy. The younger one girned because she’s suceed to made her sister laugh again.

“Don’t worry, I’m already… normal right?” Yoona asked, but her face dropped at her last word. Yeah, they said she’s improving, they said she did a good job, they said she already normal. But.. Was it the truth? Was it? Or it wasn’t? Yoona could only trust Jessica’s answer.

“No…” Jessica said. Yoona widen her eyes immediately, agape, a glint of hurt could be seen in her deer face. Just before Yoona could react more, Jessica added.

“… You’re special.”

Jessica earned a smack from her little sister, but she laughed anyway. She definetly love to little sister.

“Yah you! I thought I’m not good enough.” Yoona pouted. Jessica pinched both of Yoona’s cheek before bursting to laughing again. “Unnie~~” Yoona whined.

“Okay okay… If you say it will be okay. I trust that.” Jessica said with a warm smile. They both hugged eachother and enjoying their last day of holiday. “By the way Yoongie… can I sleep with you tonight?”

“Sure!” Yoona answered with a big wide grin.

The sun rose, a day to begin, another day that will change into weeks, months, and years. 10 years passed unoticed by the two sister. Before they know it, both Jessica and Yoona grew from a girl to a beautiful woman. Jessica was already on her third year in her university, however, it’s Yoona’s first year. And for Jessica’s bad luck, she can’t be with Yoona on her reception ceremony. They only could meet later at luch.

“Yah Sica! Whats with the pout?” Her good friend Yuri asked suddenly, waking her up from her deep thoughts. Jessica turned her head sideways and found Yuri already sitting beside her, her expresion was still blank and the pout still on her face. Beeing a good friend, Yuri noticed it quickly. “Is it about your sister again?”

Unconciously, Jessica nodded, but a second after that she’s a taken back. “Wait… how could you-”

“You’ve been speaking about her since this morning,” Yuri reasoned even before Jessica could finished her word.

“Yeah… I feel bad because I can’t attendt on her reception ceremony. And I miss her,” Jessica admitted.

“Awww… come here!” Yuri pulled Jessica to a side hug. Jessica rested her head immediatey on the taller’s shoulder and waited. They’re actualy waiting for Yoona infront of the cafétaria, but it seems that Yoona will be late slightly.

“Wait… wait… it’s that her?” Yuri asked after she saw a petite tall girl with a black long hair looking at their direction with her doe eye, she seemed to look for someone. Jessica stood up abrubtly and looked at ther direction where Yuri was looking and nodded.

“Yoona! Over here!” she shouted, to exited maybe. Yuri also stood up and looked more closely to the doe eye. The called one smiled brightly before making her way to her sister and her friend. Jessica turned her head just to saw that Yuri was immeresed by Yoona’s beauty, so she elbowed her lightly.

“What?” Yuri raised an eyebrow while her hand rubbing the spot that Jessica elbowed.

“Don’t fall for my sister,” Jessica said firmly. Yuri changed her expresion to a shocked one.

“What?? Yah! I’m not gay!” Yuri protested, but Jessica just simply shook her head.

“Her charm can attrack anyone.” Jessica said the final word.

“Aish… fine fine. What a proud sister you are…” Yuri snickered, just to be ignored by the latter. But she smiled brigtly when Yoona already arrived, not wasting anymore time, she exteend her hand, “Hi, I’m Yuri, Kwon Yuri.”

Yoona took Yuri’s hand gladly. “I’m Yoona, Im Yoona. Nice to meet you Yuri-ssi,” she said and bowed. The older one was slightly surprised by her action, but she smiled anyway. While Jessica, feeling proud as ever that her sister was polite.

“Call me Unnie, now… you gotta go for your sister, she’s been missing you from this morning,” Yuri said jokingly. Yoona flashed a smile and turned to Jessica’s direction just to found that her sister was pouting.

“Aww Unnie… I miss you to,” Yoona said as she moved closer and hugged Jessica. Jessica returned the hug gladly.

“I’m sorry I can’t attend to your reception ceremony,” Jessica said after they broke the hug.

“It’s okay. By the way… where’s Fany Unnie?” Yoona answered and asked in the same time she turned her head side to side, trying to catch a glimps of Tiffany.

“She had class. She will join us later,” Jessica informed. Yoona nodded her head as the answer, she looked at Yuri and started a conversation. They started to walk inside the cafétaria hand in hand. Yuri and Yoona talked in their way while Jessica just kept mum.

Jessica looked at Yoona with a warm smile. She couldn’t help but to feel happier each time she sees Yoona. Yoona had grew taller than her, Yoona had grew to a beautiful one. And one thing that made Jessica extremly happy was the fact that Yoona already prove them wrong.

“Yoona… look at you now. Still thinking that you’re ugly? You’re the goddamn beautiful. Still thinking that you’re stupid? Please, you graduate with a good score. See Yoona… you are not what they said… You are not.”  -your sister.
