A little too late;

Description

Becoming a singer had always been your dream. Claiming your space on stage, showing everyone looking at you what you had been hiding deep down- that had always been your secret desire. Leaving behind your small hometown, you decided to follow- no, to chase your dreams and to become someone famous in the entertainment industry.

Full of hope and devotion, you became a trainee at the famous SM Entertainment, barely knowing that you'd get more than you'd ever wanted- and to go through more hardships than you had ever deserved.

Becoming a part of EXO's female co-group, you surely cried liters of tears- out of happiness, out of pain, because of the stress you had to endure. Yet all of these were worth that one moment, this one duet you got to perform with him- barely did you know that this would be the only chance for you to be ever close to him on stage.

The more you two practiced together, the easier it was for you to see that your secret crush wasn't the typical sweet guy you had imagined him to be, but a spoiled and bratty devil, acting like he owned the place when he wasn't even the leader of his team. The more time you spent together, the more he hated you- and he made you feel that, not knowing about the secret you hid behind these witty eyes you called your own.

After your duet, it's time for you to leave- to leave the group, to leave the business, to leave your life behind. Everything would come to an end- your young life, the bonds you shared with your various friends and aquaintances, even these losy feelings for him being left over. And the saddest thing is the fact that he's happy about you leaving the group, not even caring about your reason.

Ready to stop breathing, you take your leave and go back to the small town your family lives at- only to be granted a whole new chance to be with him, while he's shown a whole new side of life.

Foreword

"I'll get going now."

"Do you really have to...?"

"Let her be, it's time. She'll be late if you keep on clinging to her, Yeol."

"I know. But..." and with that, Chanyeol turned back to you "...you... you will be back, right?"

"I don't... think so." Taking notice of this tiny spark of hope in his voice, you forcefully gave the tall guy a weak smile- the one he hated the most. Because out of all the sad smiles he had ever seen on your face, this one was the most meaningful. Deep down, he already knew it- you'd never be back again. He'd have to stay behind, and he'd have to let you go- even if it ripped his soul into pieces.

"Oh, you're finally leaving?" You lifted your head, the tears in your eyes starting to overflow as you looked into that snarky voice's owner.

"Yeah. You must be happy." Seeing your tears and hearing the hoarse tone in your voice, he grinned sheepishly.

"No, I'm not... happy." Making his way through the crowd of 16 people surrounding you, Byun Baekhyun stopped at a distance of two feet from you only.

"Actually, I'm overjoyed. And I hope you never come back here, girl."
