Shall we start ?

- Mommy ? Mommy. The bad man has gone away already. Why won't you wake up ?

The little girl gently shook her mother's hand.

No response.

A man, beaten up and tired, bursted through the doors of the small, claustrophobic room.

- YOO BIN !! YOO BIN WHERE ARE YOU ? - He shouted.

- Daddy, mommy won't wake up....

Picking his little daughter up, that man started running.

And so he ran.

And ran.....

They reached an alley . He quickly put her down, into a small cardboard box between two large, long rows of worn out shipping boxes. Her eyes started to well up with tears.

- I want mommy, I'm scared.....

- Yoo Bin, look, - He heaved a ragged, painful sigh-  .....Mommy......won't wake up. But she wouldn't want you to cry now, would she ? She'll be busy for a while now, but she'll always be here, in your heart, right next to you, Ok ?

The child arched her eyebrows, and when it looked like she was about to burst into tears, she sniffed :

- Ok, I want mommy to be happy about me....

-That's my girl. Now, daddy has to go take care of somethings, you stay right here. Exactly here. Until I get back to get you. I want you to be quiet. Do not be seen. Keep yourself safe. Understand me ?

-Yes.

She was given a pat and a kiss on the forhead, and swoosh.

In to the cold dark night he was gone.

Yoo Bin was left a lone, curling up to her own arms as the brash yellow light of the opposite street lamp shown down on her.

Or so she thought.

The snowing became harsh and rapid around her, as if trying to bury her underneath it. " Fine by me"- she thought. After all, what would a little snow do to a guardian that controls it such as her.

Suddenly, muffled footsteps were herad.

Angry voices where heard.

Her heart banging against her ears was all she heard.

" I'm done for  !"

Kim Yoo Bin closed her eyes.

Out of the blue, a strong gush of wind enveloped her surroundings, making the rust old lamp creak and crack, followed by a terrified scream and hasty retreating steps.

" Oh ?"

Yoo Bin bit her trembling lips and peep her eyes open.

She saw bright mint blue hair, sharp eyes and a sharp nose that goes a long with it, and thin lips wich curled into a seductive smile, even for a kid.

- Hello.

Tired and scared, Yoo Bin quickly fell asleep in the arms of the kid she just met. Strange, even though she knew nothing about him, she felt incredible warmth. She felt he was someone to rely on.

And that's how she met her savior. A guardian.
