The first time Taehyung met him was at the café.

Taehyung was sitting on a red, velvety couch in the café reading his book as usual. He loved reading novels every now and then to relax and this café was his little escapade. Sipping on his caramel macchiato, Taehyung pushed up his glasses a little and flipped the page, too engrossed in his new novel he bought a few days ago.

“Hey, do you mind me sitting here?”

Taehyung frowned a little, unhappy that he was being disturbed but nodded anyways, not even bothering to glance at the man who just interrupted him. Silence followed afterwards and Taehyung smiled, satisfied that he could read in peace again.

“Uh, is that book interesting?” That stranger piped up just as Taehyung was getting immersed in the book. Taehyung grumbled and looked up to find a rather attractive man staring back at him, flashing his gummy smile.

“Yes it is. Now would you mind?” Taehyung gestured to the book, a little irritated that he couldn’t enjoy reading the book in peace. The stranger let out a soft chuckle and apologized briefly.

“Thank you.” Taehyung whispered back, somehow embarrassed that he was being rude to a stranger that he had met for the very first time, and not to mention a very attractive one indeed.

Taehyung couldn’t help but notice that the latter was constantly staring at him and he felt anything but comfortable. Shifting in his seat awkwardly, he shakily took a sip of his coffee and glanced at the stranger who was staring back at him.

“Do you… need anything?” Taehyung asked unsurely.         

“No, it’s alright.” The stranger smiled softly and propped his head on his palms, leaning forward.

“But, you’re staring.” Taehyung frowned. “Is there anything on my face?”

“It’s probably because I can’t take my eyes off you.”

The second time Taehyung met him was at the library.

Taehyung was browsing through some new books to borrow when he coincidentally bumped into the same stranger he met at the café.

“Hey!” The stranger all too friendly greeted him. “Looking for a new book?”

Taehyung simply nodded and brushed past him. However, the attractive man got a hold of Taehyung’s arm and spun him around, pointing at the book in his arms.

“You’re still reading that?” He asked a hint of amusement laced in his voice.

Taehyung nodded again and frowned. What did the stranger want from him?

“What’s so interesting about it?”

Blinking, Taehyung yanked his arm out of the stranger’s grip, angered that the stranger kept bothering him.

“Everything.” The younger replied harshly, earning another chuckle from the stranger.

“Mind telling me more about it over a cup of coffee?”

And miraculously, they both ended up sitting back in the same café, Taehyung explaining about the book passionately and the stranger listening attentively. Perhaps it was the stranger’s attractiveness that convinced Taehyung to believe that he wasn’t some creep and follow him to the café.

The third time Taehyung met him was at the park.

Taehyung decided that the park would officially be his new little escapade since there were too many distractions recently and he couldn’t focus on his book. He would never admit it but that stranger was constantly on his mind and it frustrated him to no end. Groaning, Taehyung closed his book and buried his face in his palms, shaking his head. There was no way just a simple stranger would have this effect on him.

Since he couldn’t focus on reading anymore, Taehyung placed his book beside him on the bench and decided to simply admire the scenery. Out of the blue, his eye caught a bunch of children crowded around the fountain in front of him. Curious, Taehyung stood up and sauntered towards the crowd.

And there he was, sitting in front of the kids, reading them the book Taehyung introduced him to. Taehyung stood there, shocked yet he was mesmerized by the stranger’s low and undeniably cheery voice. The stranger smiled a small smile when he saw Taehyung before continuing to read, while Taehyung adjusted his glasses and awkwardly smiled back.

“A-are you going to read to us another time?” A little girl squeaked out softly when the attractive man read finish the first chapter, which marked the end of his reading session.

“Yes, of course.” He smiled his gummy smile and all the children cheered before scampering away happily. The stranger closed his book and stood up before extending his hand to Taehyung.

“Hi, I’m Min Yoongi.” He smiled.

“I’m Taehyung.” Taehyung shook his hand quickly.

“It’s nice to meet you. See you soon, Taehyung.” Yoongi laughed and strolled away.

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows, confused.

Wait, wasn’t Min Yoongi the author of the book?
